Russian Apps being installed when flashing latest samsung firmware? - Samsung Galaxy A51 Questions & Answers

Just flashed stock samsung firmware (SM-A515F - BTU - A515FXXS5EUI4) and this installs some russian apps when the phone is setup.
Is this supposed to happen? Is there a way to stop this from happening?

[Q] P3110 -Troubleshooting with official FW

Do I have some time on my samsung galaxy tab use only the original firmware. So I wanted to try but some unofficial version. I therefore tried a lot of recovery. That was probably a mistake because when I wanted to go back to the original firmware, the latest version is freely available on the Internet (XEZ 4.1.2). Despite that, I wanted OTA update to the latest 4.2.2 Tablet me but wrote that the last update has already been installed. CSC reports still original XEZ. Any idea how to solve it?

So Xez is your latest update in your contry , if you want to update to 4.2.2 , try different region, you can donwload in http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/, and flash via odin.
Or you can try microdelta rom which is the best stock rom for p3110,

SM-G920R6 Firmware Help

I want to change the firmware of my Galaxy S6 (SM-G920R6) which is Verizon LRA device. I want to Install a stock rom like the rom of SM-G920V or SM-920F or SM-G920T..
How can I do that? which firmware will be the best for it?
I want to change rom because APN refuses to work - I edited a lot of files, tried every suggestion from here & other forums - nothing helped .
So I decided to change the rom in order to enable APN edit.
So, how do I change the stock rom of my cellphone to another stock rom? The SIM is working propley after I change some settings in serivcemode (So it's not CDMA anymore, it's GSM).
Please Help ! :crying:
Edit : BTW I used this in order to root the cellphone - so maybe G920T firmware will work? CF-Auto-Root-zerofltetmo-zerofltetmo-smg920t
My android is 5.0.2, please help.
Anyone?
This is a little off topic for the op but I really need help right now.. I rooted with CF autoroot for G920F no problem then installed TWRP 3.0.2-1 zeroflteusc also built for G920F model and in the process of trying to find a better rom as soon as I had a custom recovery, me (being a dumba**) accidentally wiped my internal storage to do a clean flash of a rom therefore deleting the only backup I had. I've only been able to find the factory binary for this device which I flashed but it had literally nothing exept for basic testing software and a simple ui to run it. It was also stuck on Android 5.0.2 but I found a compatible rom with AllianceROM v1 with update v2 flashed for the G920F but I can't find any way to update past 5.0.2!! I've been trying to find a way to update somehow for weeks but nothing is compatible with my device and I'm stuck. Would someone that has my model running on Android 5.1.1 or 6.0/.1 please install the TWRP I mentioned before and make a backup of the system, modem, efs, and boot and post it online or send it to me it would be a lot of help.

Rooted S7 running Nougat. How do I update when there is a new beta available?

Hi, my phone (G930L, Korean Exynos version), is rooted, and currently running a beta version of Nougat. I received a message both on my phone and also Samsung Switch program on my PC, that there was an update available. However, I'm unable to update both from the phone and Samsung Switch, due to being rooted.
Is there anyway I can update to the latest beta without having to flash factory stock firmware?
Thanks!
Sorry but i think you need samsung ofw for that.It won't work if you installed a rom based on touchwiz.

Upgrading 6.0.1 to 7.0.1 with Odin and S7 security issues

Hi everyone!
I would like to flash new 7.0 BTU version of Nougat on my SM-930F. My current system is 6.0.1 and CSC is XEO (Poland).
I have find out that CSC for BTU and XEO is based on the "same version of CSC - OXA", so to completely change CSC towards BTU (that will obviously allow me to install updates via OTA) I need to flash ROM non - including OXA CSC first, and here is the question. Can you advice me which ROM should I, for example, choose at the beginning to chance CSC? I'm asking because I don't want to screw up anything to be forced to make root on my phone and chance CSC manually.
And question about security and root:
Since S7 ownership I was wondering how root would affect function "safe start" (After phone launch, android demands to type a password in order to run at all). Would it be possible to bypass this function COMPLETELY after launch, on the rooted phone (For example: if someone could steal it and unluckily, had some android knowledge could bypass launch/start password and, the worst, security lock, when my phone is fully rooted)? Is it even possible and how possible? Does anybody able to do that?

[SOLVED] Samsung S10+ not scanning for OTA updates despite having relocked bootloader using download mode and flashed stock ROM using Odin.

[Repost from Samsung Galaxy S10+ forum]
I rooted my phone last October 2020 and installed a custom ROM. Enjoyed it for a while but today I decided I want to revert to stock.
- Flashed stock ROM from Frija (wasn't able to backup data and settings when I first rooted my phone) (the stock firmware is the May 2021 security firmware update, it's the only one available from both SamFirm and Frija based on the region and carrier where my phone came from) using the HOME CSC file instead of the CSC (not sure if it's important to point that out but i'm just gonna bring it up just in case)
- Re-locked bootloader using download mode. Verified by searching for Netflix on the Play Store and thankfully, it showed up.
However, I tried making the phone search for an OTA update by going to Settings > Software updates > Download and install, but after checking for updates, it says my software is "up to date". I'm not entirely what the latest software version in my region is but I really want to get OTA updates back. I don't care about tripping Knox or what not, I just need the OTA updates.
