Why can't I find the System partition when trying to wipe with TWRP? - General Topics

I have a Motorola G8 Power. There is only one unofficial build of TWRP for it, and that is the one I am using.
When trying to perform an advanced wipe, I only see some partitions, but never the System one. Also, when trying to flash an image and TWRP asks for a partition to install the image on, the system image is never listed.
I went to the Mount menu and checked the box for the System, but I still have these issues.
Do you know why I can't see it?

What is FlashImageToolFlashImageTool is a tool that allows you to flash all sorts of files to your device, while booted up and also while in fastboot mode. You can flash an *.img file to your device as long as you know the name of the partition of where it's supposed to go (ex. system, data, recovery, etc)

[Q] Factory Image LMY48I (remote: Unknown chunk type)

I'm attempting to flash the latest factory image LMY48I and keep getting this error. Does anyone know if there is a problem with the image? The MD5 checks out and I've downloaded the file twice. However, the same thing keeps happening. I think Google may have a bad image posted.

got it working, flashed system.img separately and all seems good
My old Nexus 7 is on the same situation. Did you flash system manually or using NRT?

Strange recovery mode

Friend of mine having trouble in wiping cache, when he enters recovery mode (volume up+power), there is no option (wipe cache) at all but only (wipe all data).
Can someone assist?

its the standard xiaomi recovery, you need to unlock your bootloader and flash twrp if you want to wipe cache and other things. By the looks of it you're on nougat so you can only unlock using official xiaomi method. Hope this helps
