So I'm trying to get Android running on my Yoga 2 Pro (not the Yoga Tablet Pro 2 or whatever its called)
IM ASSUMING MANY EFI devices are having the same problems as well. Fill free to contribute
I was able to get Android IA dual booting very smooth with windows. However I have a few issues (I'm not a developer, I'm a noob, but probably have enough skills to contribute fruitfully to the conversation)
It works ...ok...As many of you know it doesn't have gapps, and I cannot figure out how to install gapps. it cant be installed like a traditional android device where one can flash it...
As of now, Display support works great. Both touch and hi resolution support
no sound
no bluetooth
accelerometer not working
Many apps don't work on intel ia as well....netflix, watchespn...etc
After fooling around with intel IA, I tried Android x86 instead...heres what I got from it.
Only could boot into Android from the live CD (my case thumb drive) when using VESA mode
graphic is not supported at high resolution (only in VESA mode)
gapps worked well with Android X86
Sound works
bluetooth (not tested)
I could not get Android x86 to install AT ALL...I can't figure out how to boot into android x86 using VESA on grub
So my question is this...How do I begin integrating the two if it is possible (I've read somewhere the kernals are different)..do I need to use Kitchen or can this be done by copying and pasting lib, and apks?.
I need the graphic support of Android IA
Sound support of Android X86
Working Gapps
whatever arm translator that seems to work in Android X86 as apps seem to work a little better
EFI support of Android IA
Any takers?
If anyone needs a tutorial on how to get intel IA working on Yoga 2 pro, I'll post one if needed
Hi,
Would be best to ask about this here,
Chef Central
I'm thinking the windows section would be best, but I'll leave that to you.
Good luck!
Hi,
Deepak here from India. I am building my new business platform for which I am running my App on Android TV Boxes. I have tried many Android TV Boxes and there are few issues I have faced right from the beginning:
1. Availability of the right version of the FW
2. No support for configuring device/running apps in native-portrait mode. Of what I understand, Android TV makers lock the native orientation because thats how people watch TV. TV boxes with Amlogic processors so have this option but the performance of Amlogic devices is very poor compared to Rockchip ones
3. Non-availability of Rooted FW
I have been looking around a lot to build a custom firmware, but am unable to do so with my specific requirements. After pretty much giving up in my efforts, I call for help.
Is there anyone/any forum/any website where I can have a custom firmware built for my specific use? I don't mind paying for the efforts. What I am looking for is:
1. Android 4.4.4 rooted firmware (5.0/5.1 can also work)
2. Ability to run apps in portrait mode (orientation based on app request)
The above should be compatible with any of the latest available Rockchip based Android TV Box hardware (MXQ, MXQ 4K). Any bit of help in this regard would be truly and greatly appreciated.
Thanks a ton in advance.
Regards,
Deepak
Hey guys, I know a BEST ROM thread is discouraged, but I couldn't resist. Anyhow, there is a bucketload of options here and I just want a recommendation on which ROM I can use:
Here are my requirements:
1) It should be very stable, i.e., enough to be used as a daily driver. It will mainly be used for WhatsApp, Facebook Lite, and casual gaming (Mini Militia, BadLand 2, Into the Dead etc)
2) It should support Xposed.
3) It should support ViperFX.
Thanks in advance to anyone who might help.
Please can I get help to get developers options on so that I can get the USB debugging code to use on my android gamepad for gaming using a Samsung galaxy a53
