Need Lenovo Vibe P1ma40 to be rooted. Unfortunately, the device is not getting recognized. Device only charges. Have changed the Micro USB port suspecting any physical damage but of no use. So, currently I can't use the USB. Is there any way to run adb commands wirelessly without using USB?
Note: The system can recognise another p1ma40 device implying no driver issue in the computer.
Have you ever enabled USB-Debugging in Android's settings what is required to make use of ADB-commands?

I have an LG g3 with the latest lineage OS, unfortunately the screen broke and I can't interact with it. I saw an app called vyzor but I can't install it, wifi closed, no touch, and I can't ring how to install an app using adb in twrp. The usb is enabled but the device is in "charging mode" and not mpt so I can't use adb while the device is open. How should I tackle that problem?
Ps: I can't find a single store with otg USB in order to use my pc's mouse

Assuming that you've got USB debug enabled you can use PC using a tool found on our beloved forums, not sure if it works on your phone, but it's worth a try
!!The method to enable USB debug is included in thread!!
PS: no need to be in side load to enable USB debug if you want to need just a custom recovery.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2786395
Good luck
Best wishes
Greetings.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 with a completely broken screen (no display, no touch response).
Android version is 4.2.2.
The phone is working, as pressing the power button lights up the bottom bar.
The phone is rooted, however, USB debugging is disabled. The phone is also pattern locked.
I am aiming to gain remote access to the phone through my PC, ideally mirroring the screen so I can manually backup everything from my phone. In the worst case, backup through ADB is also acceptable.
Initially, I attempted to mirror the screen using:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2786395
However, it requires ADB, which in turn requires USB debugging to be enabled.
To enable USB debugging, I attempted to modify the build.prop through ADB shell in recovery mode:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2335799
However, it is done so using custom recovery (TWRP) which I assume cannot be done in stock recovery (not confirmed, please respond if untrue).
I attempted to edit the build.prop manually:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-g4/themes-apps/tool-edit-build-prop-pc-t3312517
But It requires USB debugging to be enabled as well, and I assume it to be true for most such tools.
I also attempted to install a custom recovery (TWRP):
https://www.xda-developers.com/how-to-install-twrp/
However, out of the 3 installation methods listed, 2 require USB debugging and 1 requires application installation on the phone.
Using a USB OTG mouse to enable USB debugging would be difficult, since display is broken.
Since 4.2+ also shows a prompt to allow access to USB debugging to PCs, I assume I could use this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/help/bypass-secure-usb-debugging-prompt-t2965462
However, I would need ADB first, which also comes back to USB debugging.
I would prefer not repairing the phone or getting a new screen, the phone is old, i'm trying to change phones.
Data in the phone must be preserved, as much as possible. I am willing to compromise, somewhat.
ADB seems powerful enough that I could achieve my goals if only I could access my phone through it.
Is it possible to enable USB debugging remotely through some other method to allow me to use ADB?
Is it possible to flash a custom rom with an edited build.prop without screen input and while preserving phone data?
Please suggest options.
Can anyone help me get the qualcomm drivers installed properly on my computer so I can access the phone? (I have the OnePlus 8T)
I installed QPST_2.7.474. Phone won't detect. I tried QUD.WIN.1.1+Installer-10037.3+Setup, still the same problem.
Under device manager I'm getting device problem as well (no Qualcomm)
you want to access phone file via MTP connection?
In Windows 10 you look for installed OEM Android USB drivers in device manager's Portable Devices or Other Devices, depending on which one you see.

I am trying to do this tutorial:
[GUIDE][A11][A12][A13] VoLTE and VoWIFI on custom/stock ROMs with any Carrier
Activate VoLTE & VoWIFI on custom/stock ROMs with any Carrier Yes, yes, I know that this is not the first thread with activation VoLTE and VoWIFI. But my thread will be more convenient and easier to understand. ATTENTION ! ! ! These methods...
forum.xda-developers.com
So I can have access to VoLTE. However, when trying to use EfsTools, I'm getting a
Code:
Critical error. Value cannot be null.
Parameter name: PortName
So I believe it must be something with my qualcomm (since in my screenshot you can see the "other devices" windows is saying it was not properly installed). I did try to connect my phone with USB debug on and engineer mode toggle on. Same error.
So right now I am trying to make sure step 3. is correct.
I have a feeling I need to take additional steps to uninstall properly old qualcomm drivers before installing new?
I tried Qualcomm QPST Diag port x64; QPST 2.7.474 and OnePlus official USB drivers
Hi,
For some reason I can no longer transfer files from my Android device to my Linux PC using Android File Transfer.
I can list the device:
sudo adb devices -l
List of devices attached
????????? device usb:1-4 product:OnePlus5T model:ONEPLUS_A5010 device:OnePlus5T transport_id:2

but Andorid File Transfer (version 4.2) wouldn't start with this phone. When I attach an older phone (Nexus 4) all is fine and I can transfer files without problem.
USB Debugging is enabled on the device.
On USB Preferences File Transfer is selected. Other options are USB tethering, MIDI, PTP, No data transfer.
Any help will be appreciated.
Update: problem solved - had to use root privilidges
Try another cable. Cliché but it's often the culprit. When you get the USB mode popup just cancel it and it'll decide on its own. Disable USB debugging as it doesn't need to be on. Try other USB ports, or the last one it was known working on. Failing that see if there's a proprietary software. Microsoft Your Phone Companion might help..
hi guys I need help to recover some personal photos I had saved on my device. The phone has a broken screen and touch so I cannot use a mouse or try to blindly unlock it, but it has been rooted and usb debugging is enabled; unfortunately my pc is not authorized by the phone and I have no way to authorize it through the pop up without a screen. I have searched around many forums to find a solution but it seems every time there was something wrong, so I need some help.
The solution that got me the nearest to a conclusion that I tried are:
using adb in custom recovery (which I do have) and trying commands like "adb pull /sdcard" which resulted in "pull: building file list... 0 files pulled. 0 files skipped.", I don't understand why it's unable to pull any file.
trying to authorize usb debugging for my pc through adb by "adb push adb_keys /data/misc/adb", adb_keys is the adbkey.pub file in the .android folder renamed. I can confirm i pushed them since "adb pull /data" pulled "data/adb/misc/adb_keys" as the only file, but I still don't have authorization
I'm not too literate in this kind of commands so please be patient but I really need help
RECAP OF MY PHONE STATUS
Xiaomi Mi 10 5G is the device
both screen and digitizer broken, I'm not able to see the screen or use touch (but I'm 100% sure the phone still works)
Android 12 rom (xiaomi.eu stable)
custom recovery available
rooted device
usb debugging enabled
no device authorized by the phone for usb debug
I found somewhere on xda that the problem could be solved by mounting/unmountind sdcard, but I have no ideea hoe to do that

If USB-MTP mode is enabled on phone - what should be default - then you can access all user-data stored in /storage/emulated/0 directory where among others photos are stored.

If you mean simply to connect the phone through usb to pc, I cannot do that because MIUI asks everytime if I want to transfer photos, files or just charge with a pop up on screnn (which I obviously cannot do)

Honestly I did not try, but I don't remember the phone directory showing up in windows file explorer after connecting the phone in recovery mode, I'll try againg when I'm home and I'll let you know
anyway I checked and no, I cannot access phone files
In Recovery mode you should can run
Code:
adb devices
adb pull <LOCATION_OF_DATA_OF_INTEREST> <STORAGE_LOCATION_ON_PC>

unfortunately the result of this operation is always "pull: building file list... 0 files pulled. 0 files skipped". I tried already to pull form /sdcard, /storage, /data. Am I getting the location wrong?
