Hey Guys,
can somebody upload a full-zip from Honor FRD-AL10.
I damaged my micro-SD and lost all my backups.
Actually I am on FRD-AL10C00B135.
I know there is B136 available, but I don't get it offer.
Also I found out, other things are not working well.
I would like to do a full reset, which won't work via erecovery.
Thanks a lot for help!

Baidu is notorious for its download software for big files. If you have problems with that, you can install Firefox and a plugin called User Agent Switch, switch your Firefox user agent to IE3.0 and visit baidu again, then you can use download software, like IDM to download big files freely, without its b*s download manager...

Hi,
I am not a dev and my knowledge on flashing and rooting is only from reading posts. Can I ask for a little advice and maybe instructions? Is it possible the rom from link can help with my situation described below?
I bought honor 8 frd al10 from china. The sim doesn't initiate. I firstly loaded android wear from play store to pair with my Huawei Watch. A message popped up saying 'this phone was flashed with unsupported config for companion. you must reflash it as either signed/user or unsigned/userdebug'. I tried to get help from seller but that's no use and they referred me to xda. They say my rom is EU. In the settings, the build is FRD-C900B120. IMEI and MEID are showing as unknown. There is no Baseband version showing. I am not an expert but I know this ain't right. After watching some of the videos, I used ADB to get to fastboot. It says device unlocked. This is where i get stuck and don't know what else to do. I simply want this phone to work as it is intended to. Help, please.
Edit: I forgot to add that reset to factory settings does not work. goes to 13% and says failed.
Also, when I type in a code in dialler to get product ID to get bootloader unlock code from Huawei, nothing happens so I am stuck if the bootloader is not unlocked.
There is no OEM unlock option in the dev options.

It looks like your phone and your ROM are in some twisted status: they are not match.
If you really use AL10 from China, there is a method to fully restore your phone to original status (AL10 original ROM). But I have to remind you the risk first, backup all your contacts to PC/GoogleContacts/Exchange before you proceed.
If you are ready, go to this post below, follow the instructions on 2nd post.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/help/honor-8-rooted-twrp-modaco-rom-unable-t3462039
1. Download AL10 stock rom from my Mega link.
2. Extract necessary files using method above.
3. Follow the rest of instructions.
Now you fully go back to Stock AL10 phone as when it was sold in China and you can start to work from there.
If you don't like China stock ROM, what you can do is Debrand/Rebrand your phone which means, in simple, you change some parameters in your phone, to let your phone and ROM thinks it is from some other region, like EU/ME.
You can find details about Debrand/Rebrand method and video guide in following 2 posts:

Wow. First of all, thank you kindly. Looks like a load of work. I will try it and I really appreciate your help and your time.
The device is AL10 as per box/back of the device itself. There is nothing on this phone I would care to loose. Its like this straight out of the box. I don't mind what software I am using as long as I can make calls, use internet, pair my watch, download apps from play store (i understand this may be the issue with Chinese rom). I think what seller was intending to do is the debranding to make it EU.
If you don't mind, I will contact you (quote) if I encounter issues on the way.

Most HUAWEI's phones come with Google Play Services installed, what you need is Google Play Store, if I didn't remember it wrong.
From what I read, a proper debrand should never put your phone in a mess up status, but I haven't done that myself. If you can take time, maybe can study that SRK tool and debrand it yourself. Anyway, now you know you will have the final restore weapon.

I am either doin something wrong or this is not fixable.
I've tried and force update by putting update.app into dload on internal storage on phone. updating stopped after 3 % failed and asked to reboot.
I've tried reboot in bootloader and in adb typed 'fastboot flash recovery recovery.img' which i first extracted from update.app. I get: sending recovery OKAY, writing recovery FAILED <remote: command not allowed>

It feels like your phone is not properly unlocked or somehow relocked, maybe you should try to unlock your phone again.
Here is the post for your reference:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/how-to/guide-unlock-bootloader-tested-root-t3443946
You may have troubles in finding these in your phone according to your previous post, try the code below.
1. Your phone serial number (this can be found in Settings -> About -> Status)
open dial pad and enter *#*#2846579#*#*, should be some options called "board basic info", and then "others" (I translate from Chinese website, maybe not accurate)

Thank you again.
The last is not possible as it returns nothing at all. I'll attempt Huawei live chat support on Monday in hope they can help with unlock code.
First two are printed on the box and the back of phone. There is also a sticker on the back of it with Chinese writing and some combination of letters and numbers. I doubt they are the product ID.

hi, you can install a European rom instead of the Chinese version in the FRD-AL10? Best regards
Hey, got the same question as albertazzi65 and cwpaters, can I install another ROM on the Al10? And will that enable another bands fot lte?
Since a lot of weeks and a lot of bricks I’ve tested this solution. You don’t need an unlocked bootloader or rooted phone, you just have to pay 15€.
Before testing be sure you have the full firmware of your phone to go back if you need so.
You need :
DC-Phoenix
full firmware NXT-L29432B320
15 € credit for www.dc-unlocker.com
You will first use :
DC Phoenix New Account (it costs 15 euros for 15 credits to use for 72h after initial flash (small price to pay compared to sending to repair shop or having a useless brick)
An UPDATE.APP at your choice for your phone (AL10 or L29, both are interchangeable) -
This file with partition rework and factory firmware -*DOWNLOAD*
1. Make sure you have at least 30% of battery.
2. Open DC Phoenix and login with your credentials.
3. Put your phone in fastboot mode (Vol. - + Power).
4. Select «fastboot mode» in DC Phoenix and then go to the «IMG FILES» tab.
5. Select the «NXT-AL10_M00A102_Factory_firmware_Global_Nonspecific_A ndroid_6.0_EMUI_4.0» file and hit Open.
6. Click on «Update» and be patient. This should take 10 minutes.
7. Follow the log on the left. When it says «writing success», reboot your phone (Vol. - and Power until display goes off). The phone should normally boot into a Chinese-like ROM.
This would install a factory firmware, erase all data and re-partition your phone, after that you would be able to install a new ROM.
My phone was mate 8 DL00 3/32Go and was with NXT-C900B180, no update OTA.
8. Put your phone back in fastboot mode and select the «APP FILES» tab in DC Phoenix.
9. Select your UPDATE.APP, from the zip file you've downloaded, and hit Update. Be patient. This may take up to 20 minutes.
10. Again, look at the log for «writing success» line and then reboot your phone.
Now my phone is NXT-L29C432B320 and a new update is immediately available NXT-L29C432B330
Big thanks to djmitza222 who posted THE tuto to unbrick mate 8.
I was looking for a trick to change my international ROM by european one, I’ve tested his post and work's with a full firmware ROM. :silly:
If your phone is bricked see djmitza222's tuto

All seem's to be :good:

Yes I'm sure zip contains NXT-L29C432B320, perhaps you must change oeminfo before, to be EU.
I've done this and after, unroot and install zip file with dc-phoenix.

Yes there is a guide (google is your friend ), but after you have unlocked and rooted your phone you just have to use SrkTools and change oeminfo.
See this tuto : How to switch to use stock firmware from other models
at SrkTool prompt use menu 7 and 9, choose mate 8 and eu ( 432 )
Some time you need to do reset factory default after changing oeminfo, just check after modification like test below.
I think your phone don't have vendor info, when you use this code *#*#2846579#*#* and network information query / vendor country info
If all is good you must see :
Vendor Country Info
Vendor: hw
Country: eu
Have a nice day

I think it's possible but you must Choose factory firmware for your phone in phoenix data base :
https://www.dc-unlocker.com/huawei-android-phone-flashing-factory-image
After flashing the factory firmware, all would be erase on your phone (exept oeminf and IMEI, so you must unlock your bootloader, root your phone and change country with SrkTools) and you should flash full firmware for L09 with the country you would like to have.
Flash a firmware just before the new one ( for exemple if the latest is B560 take the full B330 or 320), so you should test if OTA update works fine.
I've only tried the tuto at the top of the thread.

Sorry, I don't know what is happening.
My bootloader was unlocked and after the upgrade with DC Phoenix it was already unlocked.
I've found this :
u can fix it using the HCU tool to repair or reinstate serial/imei but you have to have that information at hand..once done repairing you can proceed to read the bootloader code using the same tool..at fastboot, the phone may already show that bootloader unlocked but all you have to do is unlocking the bootloader again using code received from HCU tool, via fastboot oem unlock XXX.

How do i do that, flash system, boot and recovery.img using fastboot without reflashing cust?
Hi,
I am a little new and don't really know about this subject but :
I purchased a new phone : a Gome K1.
This is not tablet but phone. This is a new brandt. This a MTK (MT6757).
For the story, it came to me with chinese ROM, all menus in chinese
I asked to the seller to give me a ROM with playstore and french. They done it.
I flashed their new ROM with a proprietary flash tool. Now I have a android 6 ROM with Playstore, french menus. Well !
But I'd like to know if there is a way to root it, and install a TWRP :
The ROM came with bootloader locked and no recovery. It is entirely blocked.
No way to unlock bootloader via the general way (fastboot oem unlock --> unknown command)
I read some articles that deal with spflashtool and porting TWRP, but I'm new to this and I don't think I will be able to make all these steps correctly to flash a TWRP ...
Does someone has an idea ?
Is my post on the good topic ?
Up, does someone have an idea of how to root it ?
Hello,i also have a Gome K1 phone and I am also interested at rooting it.
There is an ' OEM unlocking option' under the developers option in the settings, have you tried that yet?
If you managed to import twrp and rooted the phone can you pls send here the steps, Thanks
Hello, happy to not be alone with this phone ...
Yes I tried everything, after enabling unknown source, OEM unlocking and USB Debugging developer options :
- All root apks
- all existing root kits using ADB
- Method with a linux distro to access Phone filesystem as root ( cannot see my phone ... )
Now I'm trying to use SP flashtool last version, but even that cannot correctly access the phone to Readback my recovery : there is BROM error, so I think that phone is not compatible with the phone (seen on a forum ...)
So if someone has an idea, he is welcome

When I contacted them, they send me a non rooted custom ROM which embed Google Apps and All language, AND another flash tool.
This flash tool seems to be based on SP flash tool. It seems to have restrictions (no readback ability ...).
I'm not able to backup anything with this tool or with SP flash tool.
Whis spflashtool, when clicking ReadBack, I power off my phone, and plug USB cable.
It begins the process but I immediatly encounter a BROM error :
ERROR: status_brom_cmd_send_da_fail (0xC0060003)
I read a post which indicate to try to plug usb cable when pressing Power plus Volume Up, but I don't think it can work, because I know that their tool works without that operation.
So now I'm still stuck here. Does someone have an idea ?
Hi
On the Russian forum 4pda, the topic GOME K1 we are also discussing and trying to solve the problem of a locked bootloader. So far no results. ROOT is also not yet possible to get.
I've also ported twrp for GOME K1, but there's no point in installing it until the bootloader is unlocked. Otherwise we will get a brick.
Hi
In Developer options there is a setting to unlock bootloader, it's the third toggle down.
Hope this helps.

So I thing I can flash just the recovery with their tool. I'm not an expert, so I'm just a little affraid to follow a guide to port a TRWP for Gome K1 and try to flash it, since it can brick the phone.
If you want, I can't send you a copy of their tool they sent to me (SPMultiPortFlashDownloadProject.exe) ...

Thank you, but I already have this tool. As I wrote before flashing TWRP we need to unlock the bootloader. While this is not impossible to do. But one of our users on 4pda is going to ask the manufacturer to unlock bootloader. In case of success, I will inform you.
If you want to experiment and flash TWRP with a locked bootloader, I can give you the TWRP I made, but I warn you, it's not safe.
Bro,Can you upload the firmware and tools to google drive or something like? It will be very helpful for dealing with this mediatek replica phone(aus6757_66_m),i got some possible factory test MTK AOSP,but the link expires :(

We were unable to contact the manufacturer and the moderators of the official GOME forum do not have this information. At the moment, there are no solutions to this issue.

could you please post here what is the procedure you took to flash the rom. Seller sent me with multi language rom. i want to downgrade the rom to its original one. I used your tools in the windows 10 lap. and also in the windows 7 lap but it was useless. I am going to try the procedure in the windows 8.1 lap. can you tell me exactly how you flash your phone with that tool ?

found the answer on 4pda, can't post link.
Success is disgusted by some people, and will not share any files for free in the future.
Once again you proved it bro. Amazing job will test now and confirm.
Working perfectly tested and rooted. Steps are easy to follow.
1) Download the ENG firmware and flash it following the steps.
2) Then follow this post and the commands to extract asuskey4 and add ISN to the asuskey4.
3) Flash WW ROM back to the phone.
4) Use Unlock tool and then done.
by far one of the best contributions of the forum, I don't usually comment, but I had to thank you
This is huge! The answer everyone with Tencent WW phones were looking for! Thank you
Could anyone please elaborate step 1 (flashing the ENG firmware provided)?
My phone enters edl mode and I see port 9008 in the device manager.
What should I do next?

You can see SSN on our phone when you boot up ENG firmware just type urself to the editor.
Find the address mentioned and start typing from first 0 u will see the HEX changing and then verify it's correct and save

Can you check if your phone is being recognized as EDL maybe the drivers are installed wrong. I can verify that the files provided works 100% and you have to use left side type c of the Asus not the bottom.

SSN can be seen on the homepage of the mobile phone after flashing the ENG firmware, or on the packaging box of your mobile phone.
Asuskey4 software download link please
Thanks, @johnny886! Btw, can you change your post to "General" instead of "Question", and pin it to this forum so people would use it as a reference in the future?

My ROG5 is being shown in Device Manager as Qualcomm 9008. So I guess it has entered in EDL mode.

Could you reinstall the drivers I have faced issues like this before with other Qualcomm devices. Reinstall Qualcomm drivers it should work. And remember to install with disable signature enforcement.

Appreciate your response mate! I will try again after reinstalling QCOM drivers. Could you please share that driver you are using?
Also, my PC does NOT detect ROG5 when using the official USB-C on both end cable. I have to use another cable with USB in one end and USB-C in the other end. Do you think that might be an issue?

The asuskey4 should contain SSN and ISN then only it will unlock. Make sure it's there and how come you lost your IMEI I tried this for 2 separate devices and I didn't face any issue.
I AM NOT RESPONSABLE IF YOU BREAK YOUR DEVICE OR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED BY NOT FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS.
NOTE:
1. I have tested this method only on V600TM other variants not tested.
2. Make a backup of all partitions you will flash (Otherwise you may lose your IMEI if don't)
3. I tested it on Android 11, I am not sure if works on 12 also.
4. Unlocked Bootloader Tested Only
STEPS TO FOLLOW:
1. Download this File (Includes everything needed for this guide to work)
2. Extact it on your preferred location.
3. Install Qfil.
4. Install Drivers included for qfil (When installing make sure you select WWAN)
5. Make sure you are connected to your computer via USB.
6. Hold Volume Down and Power until it shuts off
7. As soon as the screen turns off, immediately start tapping volume up quickly, but do not let go of volume down and power, if you did it successfully you will see your screen is off but it appears either in Device Manager or Windows plays the Device Connected sound.
8. Set up Qfil Firehorse as UFS filesystem Use this guide if you want details (Credits to crimsonrommer)
9. Restore all partitions provided in the file attached to this guide (PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU MADE A BACKUP OF THEM BEFORE IN CASE SOMETHING FAILS)
Once followed the steps you would notice you no longer have an IMEI number but you are carrier unlocked!!!
STEPS TO FIX LOST IMEI:
1. Install Hidden Menu Apk
2. Enter Hidden menu by Opening the dialer and dial: *#546368#*600#
3. Go to the SVC Menu then select MID INFO and write your IMEI in the IMEI section.
4. Reboot and now your IMEI is back
5. Usin QFIL restore the original FTM partition of your device.
6. Congratulations!!! If you did everything correct you will be carrier unlocked permanently!!!
Hope it works for you guys!!!

I tried myself Crossflashing to EA firmware and just do follow the guide again after you flashed it and It gets unlocked again, I had no Fingerprint Issues so far actually
IN HIDDEN MENU goto>>Test>>> Manual Test >>>> Fingerprint
Start test
Keep testing
untill it shows all test (total 3) fail.
Your fingerprint will be OK 100%
tested and verified.
Note: Multiple attempts in some cases are required. Dont dis-heart.

Does not work on my V600TM. Carrier unlocked T-Mobile version. What I have consistently seen is that once your bootloader is unlocked and the device is rooted, there is no way you can get the fingerprint sensor back to work.
If I lock the bootloader again, it works like charm!
Hi I have a TM version unlocked in Greece. It works in certain bands but not all and not 5g. Will this work to open all bands ?

Well that's why I advised to make a backup of all files used on this guide so you can easily restore them, and When it comes to the functionallity personally It worked pretty fine on my phone, I tested it on A11 and also A12 with no troubles, But of course you are right Its on the final user's choice to follow the guide
My very good friend just followed your advise and ended up losing not only his IMEI (could not restore it following your tip) but getting it permanently locked. Poor guy reached out to me TOTALLY devastated!
Thank goodness I was able to restore it using Octopus system (for LG phones). He is all good now.
At least his phone was resurrected. Others may not. So it is up to others if they want to risk it.

Well I dont know If was a T-Mobile variant of the phone, also with the correct backup no harm should be done to the phone, I dont know exactly what happened in that case but other people have tested it and worked just fine
It is T-Mobile original phone. After seeing his experience, I will personally discourage individuals to refrain from your guide.
FYI, whenever a fix includes a direct sharing of partitions (like you have done), it is EXTREMELY dangerous/risky. Android phones have become much more complex and porting partitions is many times a particular phone specific. Just like in my friend's case, tampering with IMEI locked his phone and made it a brick.

That was the main reason Why of backing up the device's partitions so could restore everything back to the state it was, If partitions backup wasn't done and something goes bad of course something like that could happen.
He had all the backups that you are talking about. When you back up a partition from QFIL, it is NOT the same as dumping data under LINUX (that some of us at XDA do). Likewise restoring under QFIL is not the same. Depending on the nature of partition, it does not overwrite. Otherwise IMEI tampering will become a piece of cake — something Google will NEVER ALLOW. At least that easily.
Some guides are potentially promising but fraught with risks. I will stay away from any guide that involves messing with IMEI. I know for a fact that retrieving IMEI is a nightmare if lost. And this guide invites that!
Frankly this guide should be deleted.
