Customization question - Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Questions & Answers

Is the only way to use themes and icon packs is to use a launcher? I know that's worded funny, I apologize. I read that somewhere and I wanted to confirm before I purchase this icon pack I like. Thanks in advance!

you should be able to apply from within icon pack

So you don't have to be using a launcher to use icon packs or to theme your phone? (That's how I should have said it at first)

Firstly ,
i am using Nova Prime launcher for many years now.
Main reason, is for theming of Nova launcher, also theming of Klwp (Themes ) and the theming of icons , re "Icon Pack Studio "
( All of above requires ,no root )
Then Nova launcher is also compatible with most icon packs , before installing /purchasing icon pack check in description of said icon pack if its compatible with your launcher ..!
However ,if you're not using any launcher and using stock launcher eg Samsung one
i found that it's very very limited ,unless you use Samsung Good lock modules eg
Theme Park ,Multistar ,Home Up ,Quickstar L,ockstar etc etc .
The only downside is ,that Good lock and modules , is only available in certain Regions /Countries .
However,i download Good Lock and modules ,from ApkMirror site ( safe )
Its compatible with Nova Prime and other launchers .
Good luck

What theme is this and is it available for Nova Launcher ?

Hello everyone,
Does anyone know what theme is this ? I can't seem to find it by name in the Play Store. I would be interested in applying it to Nova Launcher.
Thanks !

You could just use a pure black back ground and get a white icon pack for nova

I did, but no icon back looks to me as good as that Samsung pack Currently using Glyphsy icon pack, but the icons are too thin and do not match the rest of the dark theme.
Why would u want nova launcher when the S7 has all those different themes available

i use nova launcher and I use themes - I just like to control my icons and use ones that I like - the phone is still heavily themed even with nova - notifications - lock screen 0- settings- toggles - etc. Why not use Nova ? Its just the launcher - not the theme...
Google for tatosxl compacticons on deviantart, there is an apk with limited number of icons and zip files with many icons. They are "thicker" than glyphy's.
See screenshot with Nova icons set to 120 %

Hello friend, look for Flight Flat Minimalist Icon 2.5.8. That is the best white icon pack in the market.

S8 Homescreen (Post homescreen)

Everyone likes to change and customize their homescreen in the maximum way possible. That is why this thread will be all about the homescreens of the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus users.
While posting, also mention the launcher and the widgets used (if any) .
We will also talk about the best roms for the galaxy s8 (G950FD)
This is my homescreen, the launcher used is the Pixel launcher 2 MOD.
Widget : Another widget
Icon pack :- defaul icon pack (pixel launcher 2)

How to combine Icon Packs? Or how to get Iconzy working on Android 10/OnePlus 7 Pro?

Hello guys.
I have 2 similiar Icon Packs (LineX & Linebit). I have some apps from my country that are not in the icon pack. When I manually pick the icon pack and want to search for replacement icons (school grade app=any school themed icon) it shows all icons, but I can't search with words for particular one like with Nova Launcher...so I'd have to scroll all the way through and look through over 4000 icons each time. I have OnePlus 7 Pro with Android 10.
I tried "Iconzy" icon pack manager with search engine. Works with Nova Launcher, but when I try it in OnePlus launcher...it shows "Unable to load icon package source" or something like that.
So I'm stuck...I can't search per icon pack, cuz there is no magnifying glass icon to search....Iconzy doesn't work. Tried some other app called ICondy, but it made APK file of the icons I"ve picked for each app from the 2 bought icon packs previously mentioned, but when installed and picked - it didnt make a damn thing. All apps looked like STOCK. I now understand whz...ICondy app was updated in 2015 for Android 6, so that's maybe why.
Any suggestion where I could have search button for the icons? Or an app / software for PC where I could make my icon pack from these 2 icon packs (LineX & Linebit) that would suit my needs? I'm fine with this tedious workaround, it will be much easier to pick it from 2x4000 icon list with the scary part that it might bug and lose it's memory.
And why? I heard Nova Launcher (any 3rd party launcher) is buggy on Android 10 because some gesture elements or IDK. And I want to see the changed icons in "Recent Apps / Multitask app manager", which Nova Launcher doesn't change I believe.
Thanks a lot guys

OneUI mod

Hi all,
I finally managed to make some mods for OneUI launcher.
1) changed the app drawer to 6x8 or 6x9...but this is not available as a option to switch, it is hard coded, either use 6x8 or 6x9
2) disabled the adaptive icon (white icon around some app icons).
Since each device has a different version of the OneUI launcher, it may be better for me to share a guide with those interested....
I will try to post a guide shortly here in this thread....
Posting few screenshots...
I have removed the options of changing the grid options from the launcher.
Notice the app drawer having 6x9
Noticed that it seems to break few stock icons when using themes but this is happening because of cloning of app using appcloner. This is applicable only for those on non-rooted phone wherein you need to use appcloner to install a 2nd instance of the OneUi launcher
Update 1: I was able to customize it to 2 grids 6x8 and 6x9 and it is available as option in home and grid settings and works just fine

If you are still working on this, would it be possible to mod my S8 launcher?

I can try for sure...but it may not be easy without device since every mod requires testing...
you could also use home up that is included with GoodLock

That's exactly what i want to use but it's not running on my launcher. It's updated. I guess i need a newer phone for that. Not happening.
