Edit or change of IMEI is illegal in quite a few of countries. For this reason, XDA doesn't allow and accept discussions about or support for such an edit or change.

Mediatek - flashed FW, lost IMEI

Hey everyone!
I have a Teclast M30 (MTK6797) tablet.
I updated it to the latest firmware with the flashing tool, and lost my IMEI and SIM card capabilities.
No baseband, IMEIs are null.
Things I tried:
- Restore NVRAM, NVCFG and NVDATA with the flashing tool, after editing the scatter file to make them downloadable.
- Used TONS of tools, like various versions of MauiMETA, ModemMETA, SN Write Tool, R&W tool, and others.
- Use MDDB & APDB files from other/older FW versions.
- Relocking the bootloader, just for kicks.
- Generating MP0B_001 file and placing it into the directory mentioned in a post here.
- Obviously, different SIM cards, to eliminate the possibility.
- Using the technician code in the dialer. The relevant option is not listed in the Communications tab.
Any suggestion is welcomed. I really have no idea what to do at this point, especially considering that the tablet is being used constantly due to the quarantine, and ordered a SIM card to allow family members to communicate via video where there's no WiFi.
Thank you and best health!

Flash the stock firmware that you previously had on the device before you updated. It might restore your IMEI.
Other than that, as stated in the XDA forum rules, we can't help you retore your IMEI unless you made an IMEI backup before the issue started. You obviously didn't create an IMEI backup so we can't help you with restoring it.

Hey, thanks for replying.
The action I took was the update of the official firmware.
No, unfortunately I haven't backed up my IMEI partitions, not that even at this point - I know which partitions are these.
As I said, I have the number printed out on the box the device shipped in, therefore essentially I'm looking for help in restoring this partition.
I made several restores to the official firmware, new and old, but IMEI isn't being restored. Hoping there's an actual solution to this - we need this SIM for WhatsApp communication, keeping in touch with family at very restrictive times.

I understand your situation perfectly....
But...
That doesn't change anything about my reply.
As stated, the XDA rules only allow us to help with restoring from an IMEI backup. The reason for this is because anything that involves using a flashtool or other methods to rewrite your IMEI can be used, by others that might see it, for nefarious purposes, such as using the instructions that we might give as a means to change the IMEI on a stolen device or a blacklisted device in order to activate the device, which is illegal in a lot of places. Therefore, those kinds of discussions are not allowed here, regardless of your reason or your needs. This rule is in place to protect a potential user's privacy and device security.
Sorry, can't help you at all. Keep searching on your own in other places other than XDA.

I understand, obviously it's not the case here, but I wouldn't want to break any rules.
I haven't found a solution in days, before arriving here to ask. So, if someone sees it and has an idea, I would appreciate help, even with PMs.
The main purpose of utilizing a SIM card at all is whatsapp, it's not like we're going out in the near future.
Contacted Teclast's support, which explained that the IMEI partition was wiped, and the tablet has to be shipped back for a reflashing.
This is impossible as we're in quarantine, and we use the tablet daily. So... if there aren't any suggestions - guess we'll stay on WiFi, w/o WhatsApp.
https://androidmtk.com/download-mobileuncle-apk
It's in the GPRS settings.
Use the third (oldest) is best into
But as you said, it's on the box, so it's no biggie.
Set, reboot.

I am in TROUBLE! Help me for GOD, Redmi 6a!!!

Anyone left with some humanity is requested to PLEASE HELP ME if you have a Redmi 6a device or know a guy with redmi 6a device.
I actually bricked my device unintentionally and did found a way to get out using SP Flash Tool, However the thing I am stuck in right now is worse than bricking a phone.
Both SIM Cards are not working. I did a lot of research and found that I need two files:
[nvdata.img] [nvram.bin]
Unfortunately I don't have any backup for this. Now what I am looking for is some kind hearted person who can take a backup of their [nvdata] [nvram] partition and give it to me and I'll replace all their data like IMEI numbers etc with my own. I have my IMEI numbers ready to be feeded. I did a lot of try using those engineering ROMS and Tools. NOTHING WORKS!
I regret my decision of jumping in something I don't know about. I want you to please have pity on me so that I don't have to live without my phone.

I tried it but it still shows imei unknown. What device is your fixed mobile phone? xiaomi or some other?
IMEI gets added to mobile device when it's built. It's stored in device's /EFS and/or /NVRAM partition. If you haven't backed up this partition before you flashed a new ROM then you have lost unless the IMEI is printed on the box in which device has been delivered.

[CLOSED] Installed SB Patcher, now device won't boot.

Hello guys,
I really need your help here I don't know what to do. This is an android problem, specifically on Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro.
I installed busybox SB Patcher (which is a modified version of lucky patcher from sbenny. com). I tried to use it and it crashed, after that all the apps on my phone got their icons replaced by the default android logo and had their names replaced with their original app names (com. google. etc.). Any application I tried to use would not work. After a while of nothing working I rebooted the device and now it won't boot. It's stuck at the MIUI Logo. After a while I get to the MIUI Rescue System were my only option is to wipe my data. I want to avoid losing my data at all costs.
The devices was rooted. I am not new to this kind of stuff, I have rooted a lot of devices in the past and used lucky patcher before and this is a first, I have no clue what could have possibly gone wrong or why it happened. I am pretty sure it was not a virus. I scanned the files using 2 different antivirus software plus the built in security before and after installation (I always do that to be extra safe).
For root I followed this guide: Root XDA Guide
I know it has something with either busybox or SB Patcher, maybe something went wrong when it was trying to build the custom apk ? I really don't know. My devices has been rooted for about 1,5 years now so i am positive it is not the rom or the root.
I am at a loss here, I feel quite stupid to be honest. Is there anything to do to save my phone without wiping my data ?
Thank you all so much !
Edit:
I am thinking about plugging the phone in my computer to see if I have access to my files, if they are still there and see what is going on, but I am not sure if it is safe or if it's a good idea
Also I should mention I can boot into TWRP but I can't find any system files. System is mounted but I see that it reads internal storage as 0mb. I couldn't find why
Try to re-flash Stock ROM.

I will try that. I am guessing that means I will lose my root and twrp ? I don't really care as long as it fixes my phone but I'd just like to know.
Also I remember when I flashed the custom rom I had to wipe my data, won't I have to do that as well ?
And last question, should I flash the latest version ? I read somewhere that Xiaomi has anti-rollback protection. Could that be a problem ? For rooting in the future for example ?
Sorry for the bombardment of questions here, but my knowledge on the matter is deficient.
Thank you for your reply !
Can someone please help me ? It might be a noob question but I am really afraid to mess up
I connected my phone to my PC and I can't access it's files so I can't buck them up nor load the rom I need to flash, is there a setting on TWRP I have wrong or what do I have to do ? My phone doesn't show up at all on my computer

Lucky Patcher (or any of its derivates) is considered serious warez on XDA, and we do not provide a platform to discuss any issues by its use! Maybe it's worth to completely review the XDA Forum Rules? Below you find an excerpt:
6. Do not post or request warez.
If a piece of software requires you to pay to use it, then pay for it. We do not accept warez nor do we permit members to request, post, promote or describe ways in which warez, cracks, serial codes or other means of avoiding payment, can be obtained or used. I have the gcn file for recovery, but now I have a problem, the phone does not connect normally in diag mode. Can anyone share these files with me. A backup copy can be made with the following command
