Mi 10 Ultra Lag ? - Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra Questions & Answers

hi all
I just flashed xiaomi.eu_multi_MI10Ultra_V12.5.6.0.RJJCNXM_v12-11 on my Mi 10 Ultra, the device is really laggy... like when i open apps, or use the keyboard, everything takes like 3 seconds to open/launch up...
Any idea what's causing this lag all around the device ?

Double check display settings?
Maybe it got reverted to 60Hz when before you were on 120Hz?
I can confirm that on weekly 12.6 I don't run into any lag issues on my ultra.

Hello buddy,
Maybe there is something wrong with the installation process, i just did it with mine (chaged China rom with EU rom) and it works perfectly.
In case you want to, i can give you the youtube tutorial that i followed and the files that i used (TWRP, rom, etc.)

Just to make sure, you're using the same 12.5 Stable ROM I'm using right ? And not the Weekly build ?

Hi, I just downloaded this version, I actually have v12.5.1 so I want to update to this new version. Do you have a tutorial which I can follow to do it in the right way?
Or do you know if I can do it directly from the menu on mi device and choose the new package?

Miui 8 on Mi 4C

Hi guys!
I installed yesterday Miui 8 alpha from here: http://en.miui.com/thread-295006-1-1.html
ATTENTION!
This will be locked your bootloader!
I tried the recovery image, but it didnt work. I flashed first stable miui 7 from eu.miui than got I drecly a system update to Miui 8.
Unfortunately it's still based on android 5.1.1.
Here are screenshots.
How is Battery life... SOT? Thank you!
I dont know. I didnt so much used. Now Im back to sMiui. But I think its not beter than sMiui.
I use xiaomi.eu version which doesn't lock bootloader. Everything works well...somewhat. Back camera got downgraded features (only 720p max?), front camera can still record 1080p. Battery life, SoT and RAM consumption are similar to 6.5.26. I enable the battery saver, though. Plus only some apps are allowed for full background processing. I'm sticking with it, next updates should be better.
I'm using MIUI8 for nearly 24 hours now and I'm quite satisfied. Have not recognized heavy bugs (not even small ones).
The battery life seems to be similar to MIUI7 builds and worse than CM13.1 from TeamSuperluminal, which I used over the past few months.
I've been using first version of MIUI 8 from the first day it came out, on xiaomi.eu and I haven't got any issue what so ever. I find it works well, no bugs on my type of use so far. The thing is I don't find a significant change over Miui7... Do you guys? Generally speaking. There are a few functions on sharing that are diferent but it isnt something you should worrie about to hurry up updating.
My suggestion for everyone is that if you are in Miui7 (whatever stable or dev version) dont feel you are loosing something without having version 8... it is almost an appearance thing only changes. I'm not dev so i dont actually know what changes in the inside code and stuff, just speaking over a consumer and tester view.
If there is some devs who can tell what important changes are made over I would appreciate.

what i feel is xiaomi added new theme to MIUI 7 and brand it as MIUI 8.
Nothing significant, everything same as MIUI 7.
totally agreed, i had some overheating and touch issues btw
I'll wait Miui8 on android MM for Mi4c before installing that...
Hi! Please help me out
I will receive my new Mi 4c with the Bootloader Unlocked from the re seller , Rooted and with Multi language ROM.
Do I have to unlock the bootloader with the official method (which means flashing Cina Dev ROM -to re lock the bootloader- and go on with the Xiaomi's code procedure..) or it is possible to get all things done by choosing an unofficial weekly miui.eu international ROM and install it normally from the Updater app as soon I get my device but also be able to update it every week via Updater without issues?
My problem with flashing is that I don't have my laptop and the one I have now runs win xp.
If your MI4C is rooted you can install Flashify. With Flashify you can flash TWRP. Then you can download any desired rom and install that from TWRP.
No need for a computer.... unless you brick your phone at some point.

Taken down due to multiple force closes
Thanks
Can't see build for poco.
Was it taken down due bugs?
I was worried the dev pace was slow... seems like the only ROM you will ever need if you like MIUI

Hi,
I must say that I am surprised no Custom ROM has showed so far.
Unfortunately, it seems the device doesn't attracct devs that much... Maybe just an impression and a lot of work going on under the hood.

No, that's not it, exactly. The kernel source is incomplete, people are still trying to figure stuff out. But people ARE working on Kernel and LOS.
It's true we're not getting a huge tsunami of amazing dev's like the OnePlus 6, but it will happen soon. Also Pocophone may have promised to give phones out to some top XDA developers to help stimulate this.
Guys, how long has the phone been available to buy? Less than one month!
back again for download
does the previous bug has beeen resolved?

They have not made any rom for poco.but you still grab the rom for poco.just download the rom for mi8 and delete getprop line from first in updater script and flash in poco
Get many FC after a clean Flash for the new version on Xiaomi.eu..
Fix: To disable force close enable developer settings and scroll to bottom and disable "force-closed apps" to get rid of the annoying pop up msgs.
I really loved the ROM but many apps like playstore ,Google ,downloads, notes crash but the best part of the ROM is the touch is completely fixed ! Super snappy and latency feels really good. Hope they fix the force close issue soon cause i really cant wait to make this as my daily driver

Weekly are Beta ROMs with new features and bug fixes every week. Stable is basically an older Weekly that was tested sufficiently by Xiaomi to be considered stable .
Sometimes with important bugs, sometimes without.
I went from the last stable to the last weekly(miui 12.5) and it works really well.

hell yeah, i was on miui 12.0.4.0 global, i had only 6h30 SoT,
now with crDroid 7.3, my phone have 9h SoT between 95% to 30%
Tried CRDroid, the battery not so good, but I read its because pocket detection. Also, GApps for A11 has many issues (maps, auto, third party apps that rely on maps, etc), revert to stock global even before able to test pocket detection disabled. Battery on stock A11 global is very good, but its has so many bugs. Tried xiaomi.eu weekly, almost no bug and able to keep A11 stock battery performance. It's my daily driver now.

Question Stock or Custom Rom?

Hello Members.
Im new in this Forum. My Name is Danny From Germany and i got a Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro in new for only 199$. After 2 Weeks of using, i really dont like the Xiaomi Stock Rom. It is full of bloatware and crappy ad´s. I followed some instructions and deactivated some of the Ads, but i still get some of them.
I already unlocked the bootloader 1 week ago, because i wanna install a Custom Rom and get rid of that data stealing nonsense crap of Xiaomi. But now im at a point, where i dont wanna make a mistake. My last time flashing is like 10 years ago on my Xperia Play.
I followed the Unlock instruction of this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...11-0-rom-and-root-xiaomi-poco-x3-pro.4267623/
I stopped at 2. Because i have seen, there is now Android 12, that orangefox doesnt work for OTA Updates and i dont get the part how to downgrade from MIUI Global 12.5.4.0 Stable. Or is there maybe a way that i can flash now directly without downgrading?
Could someone pls help me with the decision which custom rom is the right one for me and help me with downgrade it? I read the instruction theme complete, but the last comments were written a long time ago.
The most important things for me are battery life with a good performance and the decision which Apps i want. I would love to have the Playstore and Google Maps, but not the other google apps.
My Poco X3 pro is running AICP 16.1 (Custom ROM) and its working fine with Orangefox (R11.1_0 Stable). and OTAs (every friday) ... as i understand it, there is not spoken of Android 12 but of MUI12, what makes a difference
Thx for the answer. Do i Need to Downgrade MIUI or can i Just flash the Rom? How about Banking? This Phone is gonna be my Daily.

Banking apps working fine with magisk hide.
POCO x3 pro is great with custom roms.
Am using spark os and it's working fine for me.
The only thing you may miss is the xiaomi cmera app, but there is alot of alternatives.
Ich hoffe, dass ich dir geholfen habe.
I was in the same situation as you, it's my first Xiaomi, I advise you to flash a pixel experience rom, you'll feel like you've got a new phone, I flashed pixelextended

Banking apps work fine without Magisk or Magisk Hide. Root is not needed unless you want it for something else.
CrDroid 7/8 are working very well too.
Stable and banking apps are working (inkl. german DKB TAN2GO) !
MIUI CAM is included
Absolutely Custom ROM.
I use OrangeFox recovery on android 12, and no problem here for OTA or storage in recovery mode.
I'm using Latest CrDroid 8.1, just follow the instructions there, and you're good.
Magisk 24 is now working on Android 12 if I'm not mistaken, or you can use the Alpha one.
So far this is the best one for daily use, gaming, and other stuff for me.
Cheers

1- right now no custom recovery can decrypt internal storage, so no OTA update works (only manual via adb sideload in custom recovery)
2- you don't need to downgrade del 12.5.4.0 (that was the latest stable update when op publish his work)
3-twrp (3.6.0_11) is now a stable recovery for vayu.
4- arrow os 12 work great with out root (well, at least my banking apps), but if you need root, there is magisk hide or zygisk...
5- you can flash Vanilla version of custom roms +open gapps pico to have "google playstore" and then install only what you need.
6- battery life is always up to you and your use... there is no magical kernel to give out 87 hours of screen on time...

You can use dfe to keep dencrypt or move files to sdcard\usbotg to flash. If you have a compuer you can also use adb sideload. AOSP recovery should be able to install OTA update. Just flash the .img file in twrp\ofox to recovery partition.
Thanks i will try it tomorrow and give a Feedback.

Fast charge will heat up the phone.
Your room temperature will also need to be considered.
Wifi, LTE and video playing/moving gif will heat up the phone as well.
Follow this guide to update ROMs:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/4288121/post-85137963
Note that the dirty flash update of ROM in the tutorial only works with Android 11.
All custom recoveries cannot decrypt Android 12 at the moment, so you cannot see internal storage with custom recoveries on any encrypted Android 12 yet.

Hey, I've been using custom roms for the past month, I've used ricedroid 3.5 for about a week and a half then I tried some other roms and now I've been using evo x 6.6 for about 4 days already, they are very usable as a daily driver. They have more performance than miui and a little bit less stability but custom roms are definetly worth it.

Hello, I have been searching for roms for my veux Redmi note 11 pro 5g and I found this telegram channel with all the custom roms available (I think). I just downloaded Sapphire os from there on my redmi note 11 pro 5g and it's working.

Wow this list is great! I am using the POCO X4 Pro Veux variant. I was able to use the latest SparkOS listed and used the instructions given on that Telegram page to flash the ROM. My phone is actually useable now. I had numerous issues with the default MIUI ROM including dropped SMS and phone calls that would never be received. I suspected software issues and now with latest SparkOS 12, this device works flawlessly. Been using it for a week now without issue. Seems very stable too. Only issue I have seen was a small problem with the task manager switching when using certain home screen browser pages. I can live with that.
The only downside I have seen with these ROMs so far is that a full factory reset of the SD must be performed each time and there is no easy way to perform updates as of yet via the Recovery.
Thanks so much for providing this. I have been wanting to flash a new ROM for such a long time and the device has just been sitting on my desk. Thanks again!

I have had a sd card for 2 years that I use with my nintendo switch and now I put it in my phone and I didn't need to factory reset once, maybe you could ask for a fix on the telegram group.

No it isn't a mistake, this device charges at 67W not 65 and on ricedroid for example you can see the wattage and it was charging at 40W+ at 50% so fast charging is working...
