It's a paid service, but only applies to devices that have bootloader 1 revision, if you just got one, you're more than likely on revision 2 bootloader. Currently there is no root for the revision 2 bootloader

Oh no!! I apologize for the late response. Well, thank you so much for your help!

Since Samsung uses custom skin OS, They have to work a lot compared with Stock Android versions. Compared with the initial release of One UI, Successor versions came with a lot of valuable features. You can constantly update your mobile using the OTA Software update option in settings. But, when you can’t do that, you can use this ODIN-based manual method. You can also use this method to Unbrick your mobile. There are plenty of features added to Android 11.
Direct Google Play Store Security patch updates, Enhanced Privacy, and Improved Gestures are some noticeable features in the Android 11 version. When you have root access on your mobile, You should follow a unique method to flash the firmware. If you follow below ODIN method, you will lose root access.

need to root J327T1

Greetings,
Ive bought J327T1 today and i want to root my device which is on nougat.
You and countless others. Welcome to the unrootable device club.
the Sm-j327u is rootable its the same exact device as the j327t & t1 the only difference with that model is it's bootloader unlocked. the only solution i see is buying the unlocked version of the j3 prime from samsung's website. good thing about buying from samsung is the fact you can choose what company you want and theres none or less bloatware installed.
---------- Post added at 11:01 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:52 PM ----------
also i have the link. i recommend that everyone buys directly from samsung for now on. remember one thing if your device has sm-XXXXU (X's in place of model numbers/letters) (U=unlocked and available on all carriers.) This is the death of unlocked bootloaders on carrier specific devices. the link to the phone is: https://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/phones/all-other-phones/galaxy-j3-16gb-2017--unlocked--sm-j327uzkaxaa/

We are working on it stay tuned a new thread will be made in the guides and news section if we are successful.
Update: we are out of ideas. Until someone has an exploit we cannot root this device sorry but you will need to either buy some other device or buy the j327u directly from samsung. It is unlocked and you can flash cf autoroot no problem. The only issue is we do not have twrp for that device yet but it will be soon.

for now its hopeless. samsung really pissed me off by patching the root method not even a month after it was made. sure performance was improved slightly but patching the bootloader is just too much. is having an unlock method too much to ask?

Really surprised me with Samsung to about this. They're normally pretty nice with OEM unlock and etc. Unfortunately this is just a phone they've licked down. They're Galaxy Note series all have root. So it really makes no sense to me why this one is so closed off.

Oreo final release might be close.

Spotted this on the Samsung fota cloud test server. It's version CQLJ which means it's not a beta version.
new fw is BRA+0-9/A-F (when build in 2018)

Yes, for sure, I forgot about 7.1
Major OS 7.0 for S8 - A, 7.1 - B (skip for S8), 8.0 - C
R - 2018 year
A - January
0-9/A-F - build number
Knowing samsung if its released to some european country today it'll hit america in around a month, and canada in 2 months, then a month later the s9 is released... thanks samsung.
I wish Samsung would fix their update scheme. There is Android Fragmentation, then there is Android Samsung Fragmentation. Why is the Galaxy Tab A 2016 getting the January security update and my unlocked S8 is on November...
Also the latest Oreo Beta is on December, I know security updates are only small but as has been seen on the January update with the Pixels they can cause issues, so I would be sceptical to an Oreo release even being up to date.
Samsung needs to stop carriers turning their phones into bloated messes. My phone, before I debranded, came with 17 applications installed by the carrier, none of which I have any use for or have used!
It really isn't that hard to get this right, and it's what we are all asking for! Simplification and transparency, not waiting and waiting and waiting! Some customers with Note 8's in the UK are still on August Security Patch. That's what £800 gets you, negligence.

Do you know if the version.xml (not version.test.XML) update in real-time? Thats mean, would I be able to see a new firmware when Samsung pushes a new update to my device?
I see they have jumped back to CRAB version from CRAL in the test server. Wonder if that is in prep for the release to beta testers.

You are behind a couple of updates. For some reason mine wouldn't find updates either, heres how i fixed it. Go to https://www.att.com/devicehowto/tut...tep_KM1203359?make=Samsung&model=SamsungG955U and find which update you are on, and figure out which comes next, you have to do them in order. Then go to https://samsung.firmware.science and select your model, baseband and the baseband you need to update to, which you can find on the att site. Then just flash via recovery and adb. Beware however, that it erases everything off your phone.
Question?

the mods need to totally revamp this whole section and crate separate sections for every single model and year revision

Yes you should be fine. Once you get to the wifi select, hit back. and then skip. You should be able to get into the OS without connecting to the Wifi, Do not connect to the network until you have installed the MTK-su root (with magisk) and have disabled updates. Once you get into the OS check the version. They were all shipping with 7.3.1.0 in October... If good go to this thread to get root and magisk, then search for disable (do not just click in development setting, it will still update)
