Problem to root Huawei U8220

Hi,
I've tried got root on my mobile, but i have some problem because my phone it's different of T-Mobile Pulse, so when I apply the superboot image to my mobile my touchscreen don't work. After I tried create my own superboot image, but it's doesn't work.
I follow theses steps:
- Unpacking boot.img (superboot)
- Copying /superboot and change init.rc to write some strings and change default.prop ro.secure = 0.
- Repack after including some files, but the new boot.img has its size minor than the original file, and When i apply in my mobile it's only huawei splashscreen.
If wanted, i can send my images (boot.img original and changed) for some help!
Help me please, I wanna get root to use App2Sd. Thanks.

[Q] Alcatel onetouch Idol 2 6037K

Is there a ROM that works for the Alcatel onetouch Idol 2 6037K? .I have the root permission but Ive tried a number of custom ROM but none is working. The device is even unsupported on ROM manager. Both TWRP and CWM couldn't work. Please assist
best regards
kitkat 4.4.2 for alcatel 6037k
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ADVERSE WITH YOUR PHONE!!! You do it at your own risk !!!
Run a backup of all your data before you begin.
if you are not expert in restoring your operating system in the event of a loop or in the case of black screen at startup does not proceed.
This information is for experienced users of Android.
Hello, I installed the rom kitkat 6037y 4.4.2 and it works perfectly on dual sim and all other functions.
The files that you need are the boot, system and custpack this link
http://www.mediafire.com/download/qicl9yc7lghtwph/alcatel_idol_6037y.rar
The TWRP find it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3134162&d=1422254984
To install the TWRP must have the root, once you copied the recovery in your phone must use an application that emulates Android terminal and type
su
/sdcard/recovery.img cat> / dev / recovery; sync
If you are using TWRP create you file system.ext4.win mounting the system.img and creating a compressed tar file that then rename in .win for use with TWRP
Here written as do
http://www.google.it/url?sa=t&rct=j...6duCex2GqQLGBTnVUqJMFUw&bvm=bv.96339352,d.bGQ
You must replace / change the build.prop putting that in your rom 4.2.2. "Sudo mount -t ext4 -o loop custpack.img folder" copy and paste build.prop or modify it as you do yourself.
I have also used the "Alcatel Idol 2 6037y, Android L Mod Rom by Duke" and dual sim work and all other functions.
Unfortunately I am not able to turn the kitkat 4.4.2 with the look of Android lollipop

Can you share some further experiences with this? Perhaps some thoughts after 3 months, and what are you currently using on this phone?
I currently have the 6037k on the stock 4.2.2 (not rooted). I am very interested in your experiences, and battery life.
As of now I barely can make a whole work day, where most battery is spent on Phone, and not screen (with 2+ hours SOT, even!), and I hoped that upgrading the version would alleviate the problems.
Any information would be helpful, thanks

[Temp] How-To Fix Audio distorted on P GSIs

Hello everyone, here you go this is temporary fix for audio distorted on android P gsis. Im running on stable miui global ( so the vendor of mine was)
Needed Rooted devices and running AndroidP GSIs (mine tested on Pexelxperience P)
STOCK Vendor file latest Miui Global Stable
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pZ9uraiebO3HM2mQcmdjavz99xOqukNT/view?usp=drivesdk
- Boot to TWRP and mount the Vendor partitions
Use root explorer , suggested amaze filemanager download it for free on on Playstore activate the root filemanager (amaze as it set default to off)
- go to root tab, /Vendor/lib/soundfx/ now you need to rename whole files ( i don't suggested to dellete/removes whole files .so)
Just rename it extension (.so) to .bak
After that reboot.
Credit to mi8 user, seems on poco we have to change it on Lib not the lib64..
Hit thanks if i helped.
*If its don't work please do the same things on vendor/lib64/soundfx.
*Important.
This the one-time and universal fix, so you don't need to editing the vendor files everytime you changing the rom gsis, as its on vendor side modifications, it will keep the mod survived everytime you changing the gsis as long you didn't re-flash the stock vendor.img/flashing the stock Miui roms.
Keep an eyes to Phhs Aosp P build when he succesfully fixing the distortion bugs on xiaomi devices, its mean you'll need the stock vendor.img (un-modified) to be flashed.
Update : pre- modified vendor use only adbfastboot tool
Put the modified vendor inside adbtool and putyour device in fastboot mode
Flash this via fastboot :
"fastboot erase vendor" <enter>
"fastboot flash vendor.img" <enter>
Before flashing this i suggest you do backup your original vendor partition.

Its simple i mean don't make it complicated, the gsi img itself was the single img file which created /developed to replacing the stock system partition, in our case is Miui. Needed files :
1.Gsi files, you choose your own fav gsi, i'm using Pixelxperience head there and download the zip..and extractsthe img file inside (the img file insidewas the system img to replace miui on our system prtition).
https://forum.xda-developers.com/pr...lopment/9-0-pixelexperience-p-t3833294/page47
2.TWRP, get it here https://forum.xda-developers.com/poco-f1/development/recovery-twrp-3-2-3-x-t3836241/page12. we need this to format data after flashing the gsi.
Steps :
Put the img and TWRP files inside Adb,fastboot directory, rename the Gsi img file with simple name so you won't be typo or type wrong name of img file.
1.Reboot your device into fastboot mode (backup your important files as it would be formating your data)
Confirm your device was detected in fastboot mode (fastboot devices)
2. Type "fastboot erase system"
Wail till complete and said done.
3. Fastboot "flash system name_of_extracted_img_file.img"
*I've changed the file to system.img so i type fastboot flash system system.img
Be patient in this step,as you'll see more than 1 process shown on cmd. Wait till it done.
4. Don't boot to system directly, now type "fastboot boot twrp_name.img" if you don't want to flash / replacing stock miui recovery.
Or "fastboot flash recovery twrp_name.img"
wait till it boot, ignore the password pop up choose cancell, now wipe, and choose format data, wait till done.
*Optional if you need to root do it, i suggested magisk latest stable build.
Back to main menu TWRP and choose mount the vendor , we need to modify the libs file to make the distorted audio gone.
Or you can flash my modified vendor.img with command "fastboot flash vendor.img" if you're lazy enough to rename the lib files one-by-one manually using root explorer.
Reboot to system and you're now running pie gsi.

Can't edit build.prop file Poco F2 PRO

on my Poco F2 Pro and I was able to install TWRP correctly as well as Magisk canary
Only, the root does not seem complete and the modification of build.prop to 0755 via TWRP is not possible.
So I end up with a rooted device but half.
Ex: AdAway only works with a rooted device works perfectly.
but Root Explorer.apk encounters an error message when switching to R / W which indicates:
"Warning: the modification of the permissions was not successful. Please note that some file systems (SD card for example) do not allow changes to the permissions"
I have the same problem
Since Android 10 it's not possible. You can use Magisk modules (i.e. MagiskHide Props).

Real root question

My device is Poco F2 Pro with xiaomi.eu android 11 rom.
I have flashed Magisk 21.4. But when open Root Explorer, I can't mount r/w on /root.
My install steps is:
Flash Magisk after flash rom.
Open Magisk, install, selcet and patch a file
fastboot flash boot patched.img
In Magisk, RE have been granted root. But it is not real root because I can't edit system app.
Is there anything wrong?
BTW, when I flash MIUI Global rom + Pixel Experience or Fluid rom, I can get real root.
