Lineage17 without GAPPS where are the sound files stored? - General Questions and Answers

I have Lineage17 installed on my rooted Samsung Galaxy J5 with no GAPPS. I experimented with some notification sounds I saved to the empty folder 'Notifications' in phone internal card memory. I changed the default Notification setting 'Argon' to point to the card folder. Now I want to revert back to the default Argon notification sound that was in the original LineageOS build. I don't have GAPPS installed and there are no audio files in the usual android location System\Media\audio.
Where are the default audio (.ogg?) files stored in a Lineage17 build? I've tried wiping the System and Dalvick caches but the default Argon notification doesn't come back. I don't want to do other 'reset' and break what I have. I think i just need to point my file browser to the Argon file if I could find it. Thanks

[Resolved] [Q] How to delete ringtones, wildfire?

I had some midi ringtones on my wildfire... Now I deleted the folder from sdcard (physically there no files, I even overwrite the free space with some random data on computer) but wildfire still shows (and plays) them in sound settings menu When I unmount the sdcard there are only factory ringtones available to set, but when I mount the sdcard again, all my deleted ringtones goes back to the list...
What's the magic-htc way to get rid of them?
I have no root, original htc firmware 2.2.1 and don't want to use factory reset option just to delete some midi files ;]
Tread to delete. I don't known how, but after 6 or 7 restarts the files finally gone... Really something is wrong with wildfire :/

Galaxy Tab 2 wallpapers, ringtones, etc

Hi everyone! I updated to JB, but the new UI simply is UGLY, so I reverted to stock ROM via flashing.
Unfortunately, I lost all Sansung wallpapers, ringtones, alarm clock sounds and movies, music and so on. Where are these files? In the stock ROM? In the CSC? Eventually, can someone upload a copy of them?
Thanks! Shame on me for not backupping everything via CWM...
Stock wallpapers are in system/app in an app called secwallpaperchooser.apk (or close to that). Ringtones are in system/media/audio in their respective folders. Any movies or music will be on your internal or external sdcard, as with any tones you downloaded. If they are missing in system apps, check if they're still there using a file explorer..

The ones in /system are there, not the ones in the internal sdcard. Maybe they are preloaded but not included in updates?
If they are not on any SD card, you may have wiped it in the process of flashing something...

They were in the internal SD card... apparently, I lost them Back in the WindowsMobile days, they were included in the CSC or default partitions, now they are not anymore.
Will have to find someone with the P3110

Optimizing folder structure?

I reset my twrp rooted note 10.1 back to factory, cleared dalvik and internal storage, flash a new ROM yet it stil maintains the old folder structure from my previous ROM. I want as little as possible in my folder structure. I'm afraid if I delete certain folders (eg TWRP) it will render my tablet useless as I might not even be able to boot into TWRP.
Factory reset says it wipes "data" (does this mean internal storage?) and when I clear internal storage too I still have pictures etc. from my old ROM, why?
I have a .face and .thumbnails folder that I'm not even seeing in the file manager on the system. Is it safe to delete these?
How do I clean the clutter? I would really appreciate if this is demystified a little.

[Q] TitaniumBackup making wrong folder?

First of all, Im using a nexus 4 and this issue occurs when i install Titanium no matter what rom i am using.
When i install TB, the app works and everything but it doesn't create the Backup folder in /sdcard where all other stuff is like (the music folder, where you put your movies, roms etc etc)
Here is a screenshot of where it creates the backup folder --------> http://imgur.com/Vybd6sY <------ Also i might add, if i delete that folder, it wipes my sd card.
Here is where it creates the backup folder inside "storage" (which doesn't exist until i install TB) http://i.imgur.com/kawfvWb.png inside that folder is http://i.imgur.com/pALplDk.jpg and inside that is http://i.imgur.com/HbvTLc5.jpg
Or am i stupid and this is supposed to happen?
Depending in the Rom this is normal. Different roms set up the built in storage differently. Some do storage some do legacy/storage. This is so you can still use the device while connected to a pc
I'm coming.

[Help] Modifying AOSP internal/external sd default storage

I am using SOKP latest.
I don't for the life of me understand the way the AOSP roms I've used handle their storage. It's like they throw folders all over the place. I check both internal and external and just about every app puts folders on both as well as the root/data directory. It's so messy after doing a full clean install, installing apps, and trying to find where each app puts it's data. And the most frustrating thing is some apps suddenly change default directory and start storing data somewhere new! Keepsafe, for instance, put folders on both sd's and when I moved my backup keepsafe folder to the internal folder THAT IT JUST MADE, it didn't see them like it normally would in TW and instead switched to external and rebuilt a new file system there. When I moved the backups to the new one, it said "nope" and picked yet an entirely new location, which I can't find anywhere...
Short story
TL/DR: I want my AOSP rom to handle app data storage the same way it does in TW. I want apps to build their directories on the internal and not external.
