Hi
I use a Realme X, while I assume the model might be not relevant to this case.
I tried several methods to flash both stock Rom`s and alternative ones, I did use both adb commands and adb sideloading and the official Realme tool.
To me, as a computer expert but phone noob, it seems like something fundamental might be broken in some protocol or even hardware.
Whatever I do, the firmware flashes to a certain extend and cancels then.
In most cases, there is not even a error message, it just fails to flash completely and pretents everything is good.
The phone is unlocked, has 3.4 TWRP installed and I can access it via my computer.
I used two different Windows computer, in order to exclude the host OS as the source of the failure.
Also used around 3 different cables.
Moving data around also works, I already did try to move the ROM to the device and install it there, same.
The device ran perfectly fine before I decided to try another ROM.
Is there any log that I can provide?
Twrp log would tell what happens. Also mitool would make logs on the pc.

Good morning everyone.
First of all I want to apologize for my english, that I'm afraid it's very poor.
My question goes next: I bought an used Samsung Galaxy tab 2 7'' p3100 3G and it has a very big problem. It can't be connected to any pc, windows or mac. It's not a drivers' problem, so when the device is connected, the pc does nothing. Not even a display in the device manager, or a noise. However, it usually charges. I say usually because sometimes the icon battery shows a red ray, but it charges spending more time. That's all. It has been proved with three different original cables in several computers running different SO.
I don't know if it's a connector problem or it's a Rom one. It has an operator locked SO with Android 4.0.4 that not even shows the OTA update option in the menu. And I cannot select the way I want to be connected by usb in the "Storage" options.
The fact is I cannot update the device and I cannot root it in order to install a better rom or an original stock one.
I've googled all I can do to find a way for rooting the device, but all the roads drive me to the same point: Odin. The software I cannot use because my device can't be connected to any Pc.
I know this forum is my last chance. There are some ways like z4root or framaroot that work in another devices (Galaxy S for example, I think), but they have not been ported to my device. I think my chances are to make it by an apk o perhaps flashing a signed file from the original recovery.
I just need to install a simple clockword mod or having the device temporary rooted to install and run the Odin's apk that allows me to install a pre-rooted rom, an open recovery... Just a simple step for one man, But the Colorado's Canyon for me in my situation.
If someone of you know any solution or want to help me, I'll be truly grateful. And I didn't even mind to pay him for his help.
Thank you very much in advance.

Have you manually installed the drivers? If not, download the samsung drivers, install and try again. Read through the link below to find the drivers.

Unfortunately yes. I've tried with several versions of Kies, by installing manually the drivers and it doesn't work. The fact is I connect the device and the pc does nothing. Not even the device manager shows a new device or is alterated in some way. It's like one data pin in the connector was damaged or the rom was corrupted and it doesn't let the device be recognized.
I think my only chance is to make everything inside the device. By sd in the boot manager or with an apk. If not, I'm condemned to an obsolete device that could not even be updated.
Thanks for trying to help me.

This may sound absurd, but try a different version of the drivers. I had to install like a dozen drivers before it worked

I agree. The drivers can be so touchy. I'd uninstall and reinstall drivers numerous times before giving up. Good luck!
Sent from my GT-p511x
your cable is faulty. Get another one on ebay cheap.
I'm afraid I've tried with three different cables, as I said (one of them original from Samsung and new), two Windows Pc's, one mac and about fifteen different drivers.
Believe me: I've rooted with no problem more than twenty different devices (and jailbreaked another ones ) and this is the first time I cannot make it.
Think it's a hardware problem or a corrupted rom one. In both cases I have to root it by an apk or a flash from the sd.
Anyway, I appreciate very much your help, boys.

I'm in a similar situation with a Galaxy Tab 2 p3113tsyxar
It is not recognized by any computer, and my next step is to try another cord manana. Until then (hopefully) I've got a nice paperweight.
You have not rooted ur tab till now......so u have not played with your firmwares! So its better to visit a samsung store. If you have warranty then they will do it in free.(And your android will also get updated!)
If I helped you, just press thanks!
Hello, here's my problem: I accidentally put a schematic as a code on my phone that I immediately forgot. Now that I only have access to the lock screen, I can't put my phone in file transfer mode because I'd like to retrieve it before resetting my phone (which is, by the way, a Redmi Note 6 pro up-to-date, not rooted, no TWRP, and the bootloader is still locked). It's possible to use ADB to retrieve files, but I can't allow access to the computer from my phone either, so ADb is unusable when my phone is turned on. Nevertheless, it's obviously possible to use it in recovery mode, if you have the right drivers. I went to look for them, but during the installation, Windows tells me that a better driver, ADB devices, is already installed, and I can't install my driver. I obviously tried to find a way to ignore this warning, notably by asking during the manual driver installation to search the hard drive, but it tells me via this method that no driver is contained in the indicated directory (which is wrong, at least from what I see, the necessary files are all there).
So I search either :
- a driver that won't have this problem and that will allow adb to work in recovery mode;
- a way to force the installation of this driver;
- another way to use ADB in recovery mode;
- another way to recover my files while the phone is locked and I can't give it access to the computer.
Otherwise, any idea that can solve my problem is fine with me.
Thank you in advance and have a nice day!

For drivers.
And use OrangeFox Recovery
He can't install any custom rec. The phone not unlocked. I don't think you have a Chance to get your data. For future make the most files that you don't wanna Lose on a sd card not on intern storage.
Update: on little search on Google i found this Blog. https://www.androiddata-recovery.com/blog/how-to-retrieve-deleted-data-from-xiaomi-redmi-phones
On method 4 is maybe a reason for your matter.

The message wasn't sent... well, I was saying that the website was affiliated with a software, and was totally lying since the data recovery function is only compatible with samsung. So it looks like there's no solution for me...

Unfortunately for you you cannot recover your files. As your phone's bootloader is locked and even though some softwares claim to work even with formatted phones they don't because of encryption and this new type of formatting where the data gets destroyed. Even It happened to me once I had unlocked and rotted my phone by for some reason when I was going back to stock ROM my phone data got destroyed dueto my carelessness during encryption and that's the story. After that I tried different softwares to recover photos but non of them worked. Only thing is you can get your Device unlocked
Why is it suddenly impossible to update or log into miflash or miflashpro?
Tried all the usual issue fixs? Type c cable good. Drivers installed. Windows command prompt can see my Poco X3 NFC an can change recovery.
It just refuses to allow a log in page an will not work without log in?
Has anyone else had issues like mine?
Ive been trying to get it working for an hour now
Edit: I have a suspected culprit. Bloody timewasting windows 10 updates messing with drivers.
Grrrr. Will see it installing updates allows Miflash to work?

No difference. I am just going to assume Miflash no longer works. Any other flash tools I can use? Without miflash to restore my device its no longer safe experimenting with custom roms. Fact.

Why? You can still use recovery versions of MIUI, or fastboot versions of MIUI, no?
I reflashed many many times MIUI or custom ROMs, and never used Miflash, got into various curious situations and always was custom recovery enough to restore my phone to a working state, only when I destroyed Ofox or Twrp in the process I had to use fastboot to reflash either recovery or MIUI...
So honestly, I don't understand this Miflash obsession which people sometimes here present, as Miflash is the only way to restore your phone...

because its the best way out there to fix driver issues with correct firmware an unbrick softbricks when things go wrong with custom roms.
Have never found anything as good as its made for Xiaomi/Poco devices.
What do you use when things go wrong?

OFOX or TWRP, and when things go wrong fastboot - along with external sdcard with recovery or fastboot versions of MIUI, but as I said, I'm only using fastboot if I destroyed custom recovery while experimenting
Good for you.
I suspect most people are like me.
For the rest of us who might not all be super tech savvy when things go wrong or there is corruption of things or more commonly android bugs.
The forced flash of miflash provides a safe back up.
We're not obsessed with miflash. It's just good as a way to reflash firmware an start again.
Without it I am seriously considering going back to stock as it's no longer safe to experiment without it.
It's really that simple.
I am not an electronic genius so miflash provides the best way to avoid hard bricks of which I have had many
Hi
I upgraded my LOS exactly as it was at wiki page described. With one exception. Instead of stock ROM as a base system I used LOS19. Wiki page does not described what kind of ROM should it be. Now I know that as base system have to be always STOCK ROM.
Well, lesson learned, but problem still presists. My LOS 20 works with few issues here and there, but main issue is USB problem.
Any cord which previously worked for me flawlessly, now does not work. under win I see an icon with ! in device manager. It is marked as device driver failure or something like that. This make me sick so badly. Because of that even MSM/EDL mode does NOT works...
Under linux no communication via USB at all. I did not check any logs but commands such as fastboot devices and adb devices returns empty lines.
only one thing which I managed to work is ADB over the wifi. This works.
My question is: can it be fixed? Can I get back to stock? does adb over wifi help with anything? I think that siedloading over wifi does not even exists, so I'm screwd pretty much.
My bootloader is one provided with LOS 20.
Well, new thing learned. When any custom ROM is used, then MSM tool might make thing worse. So I have to stay away this tool until I will have live stock ROM on my phone.
Figured out another thing. I can flash my phone without adb, fastboot either but I have to root the phone 1st. May I do it without USB access now?
I decided to load gsi via dsu loader in the settings app, I had oem unlocking enabled, and then I installed one of the gsi--it was random, I don't know too much about these types of things, like arm64 or something, at the time, so I just did the arm64 so for a bit, it was done downloading, all I needed to do was restarting the device, and then, after restarting it, it had this boot messages that says "dm-verity corruption. Your device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and may not work properly. Or, the device will power off in 5s". The device was working correctly except it just had that message everytime it boots, and it was still android 11 as normal instead of loading android 13 gsi. I tried to fix this dm-verity problems, with everything I can: I used adb and used the dm verity command (adb reboot dm-verity enforcing, adb reboot, fastboot set active other), I also did factory reset but that doesn't work, I contacted the customer services and they said as of right now, they don't provide roms or software to end user, and the only way to fix the devices with them is to send it to them and it cost 30 dollars, so i declined instead. I found these two application while on my way to research on fixing the devices: Unlocktools, and rom2box, but I am skeptical of them. I didn't found the firmware for this specific devices, but it did gave me hope that the only thing that came close is blu g91. I don't know what else to do besides use unlock tools, or rom2box, but I don't want to get my computer in danger, so I don't have that much choice.
Does anyone have a firmware file for BLU F91 5G though? I just founded one, but I can't download them, because I had to log in, but the website (Halabtech) seems kinda odd though, so I haven't log it in yet.
Nvm, I guess I'll just flash different gsi for different type of processor or something.
I Did same thing few weeks ago on my s91pro. Got same response from Blu and I can't seem to find a trusted place to get Firmware either. Sadly I don't have a pc to flash with but soon as I get my one plus device back I can try to sideload maybe.
Curios with your idea to flash again? If that works let me know please and good luck!!
My first idea was to use the dsu sideloading/vegebobo and shizuku for using gsi, my 2nd idea was to sue adb and fastboot, I would need to get gsi file, I could load either vb.meta, or just the system one instead. It took me a while because I was using outdated drivers, outdate adb, or just incorrect command. At first before all of this, I just wanna flash normal firmware, but I guess ill do that. It worked out for me, but I had problems with scren recording and wifi related in different gsi
btw, If u thinking of flash custom gsi on ur blu phone (in case if u don'twant to, I don't wanna force u or anything, just saying, so u don't have to deal with the burden) , I don't recommend using cdroid, in my expriences, wifi connected but doesn't work, and even using mobile data doesn't work either, lineageos was less worse.
Honestly with all the hassel it seems to cause I don't see it worth it. Hell even trying to fix the issue I have already seems to be a pain. I'm gonna just leave it be. Doesn't seem to cause any real issues other than the annoying warning during boottup. Which I just press the power one time and use phone as normal.
I am only using the Blu phone till I get my one plus back from warranty service. Then it's just a back up and alternate account I use for games.
