I just downgraded my NFC global from A11 12.5.1 to A10 12.0.9 due to the fact that A11 is buggy and I can't even play with my phone anymore, after successfully downgrading the phone to A10 with the update and rename method I noticed that the widevine certificate is L3 rather than L1 and I can't even watch Netflix because of sd crap. Is there a way to restore the widevine L1 while staying on A10?

After unlocking my boot loader SafetyNet pass failed, and some application like Netflix disappeared from the play Store, Fine. My widevine L1 certificate was still valid. and I had been able to install netflix using an APK.
So first question, Is my netflix APK setup allow me to watch FullHD steam ?
Currently My ROM is MIUI Global 12.0.3 Stable, If I switch to any other ROM, I will loose my L1 certificate, correct ?
A MIUI Europe ROM may keep may L1 ?
If I switch back to MIUI Global 12.0.3 Stable I will get my L1 certificate back ?
For now SafetyNet Failed ctsProfile, and evalType is locked to HARDWARE.
I also have a redme Note 9S on which I install pixel experience, an SafetyNet Pass, but my widevine is an L3.

Thx, I find this post yesterday in the morning, but I was not able to find it back in the afternoon.
A read it again, and after applying the hardwareoff_1.1 script my SafetyNet switch to basic, and is now passing.
I'm still concern about is Xiaomi.eu will loose my L1 certificate.

Make a backup from thr "Persist"-partition and save this on your pc. If you lost your widevine L1 you can flash the persist backup, and L1 will be back.
NEVER flash a persist img from an other user or phone!
You can pull easy the persist.img through terminal emulator or in ofox with the inbuild emulator.
Command is: dd if=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/persist of=/sdcard/persist.img

That's how it is. Netflix doesn't only require L1, but it also only let's the devices they whitelist to stream HD. Your device is L1 and netflix app is lying about it.
Everything works perfect in the Disney+ app. You'll get beautiful HD and it's clearly using the DRM.

So, good news. I recently installed the a11 update and netflix is now working in HD.
(I updated with the "Rescue and Smart Assistant" tool from lenovo for motorola phones, it offered the 11 update as a rescue image. It wipes the phone but atleast i got it in europe before the schedule)
- it was strange thought that play store didn't want to install netflix or disney+, i had to sideload them from apkmirror.

It Is wrong that official build Is :RKQ1.200826.002 test-keys.......and no release Key? This update android 11 with test Key has broken drm??

Factory data reset did not help, always widevine L3( from Recovery wipe data)
After new year or 11.0.5.1 update, widevine certificate went from L1 to L3. I never unlocked, rooted or modded my phone. Model is Oneplus 7 Pro GM1910 256gb. What is your widevine level?
Same for me, although I am not sure of the timing. Ever find a fix?
Try flashing latest OOS 11 image from MSM tool. Internet says it fixes the L3 issue.
Note:
1) Flashing ROM from MSM tool will wipe data so backup first.
2) The image necessarily needs to be Oxygen OS 11. Version 10 won't fix anything.
I have this issue as well. But I am living with it as I don't use Netflix stuffs. Let the community know if it fixes

I didn't use my tablet for 2 years but I launch it yesterday and reset it beause it was very low.
I'm on the last official firmware XEF, android 5.0.1 or 2
When I see on application mycanal (a TV OTT service in France) and the app DRM INFO, I have widevine L1.
But Netflix is in SD and say me I have widevine L3.
Prime Video is also in SD and Disney+ have an error 83 (I see that it only works on L1 device, so it considers me on L3 too).
Well ... I'm a little lost. What can I do ?
Do you (owners of the same tablet) have the same problem with widevine on official firmware ?
Is it possible to solve the issue without flashing a custom rom ?
If not, what custom rom can I choose ?
