OP3, OP3T, OP5, OP5T and OP6 and OP6T, here are the EDL packages (also known as MSM tool or unbrick tool) that can revive a bricked OnePlus 7.
They can also be used to rollback your phone to a previous release of OOS.

Instructions:
Power your device off
Maintain volume up and volume down keys to get into Qualcomm EDL mode.
Launch MsmDownloadTool V4.0.exe.
Click on Enum to be sure your device is detected and press Start.
Wait ~300 seconds
Enjoy your brand new device

My device isn't detected when I click on "Enum" button
Go to device manager and make sure your phone shows up as QDLOADER 9008.
If it shows up as QHUSB_BULK, it means Qualcomm driver wasn't installed automatically by Windows Update. Download the latest one from Microsoft website at http://download.windowsupdate.com/c..._fba473728483260906ba044af3c063e309e6259d.cab (source https://www.catalog.update.microsof...updateid=8ee52ba0-bdef-4009-88cf-335a678dd67a ) and install it manually by right clicking on QHUSB_BULK and selecting "Update driver software" and "Browse my computer for driver software" to where you downloaded CAB file.
My device doesn't stay in EDL mode for more than 10 seconds
Some units can have this problem and there isn't a lot of things to do to fix that, except being fast after plugging your phone to your computer.
EDIT 7th August 2019: There is apparently a "one-off" solution to this problem available at https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=80021106&postcount=21 . I would like to investigate more on that but sadly don't own the device so can't confirm it.

Ensure you're using the Qualcomm drivers linked in first part of this FAQ.
What is SMT Download mode?
Just don't try to unlock that mode, it will wipe your IMEI and your Widevine certificate if you use it.

Just got my OP7 yesterday and accidentally bricked it by formatting the vendor partition in TWRP. So I was searching for an Unbrick tool but there was none.

In order to get the EU firmware back I simply have to flash the OxygenOS for my region and that's it, right? - Worked via TWRP
Another question though: I can create files on data when I am on the phone and I can also copy files over via USB-OTG. However when I try to push files via adb it tells me that the partition is read-only. Any idea how to fix this?

Cool it's also almost the latest version. I think I can close the other thread now.

Hi, I sadly have no idea about how to fix the adb push thing

Thanks for the response thiugh. I fixed it yesterdy evening.
First I tried to update the system to the EU version via local upgrade but it didn't let me as I was already on a "newer" version. So it interestingly classifies the Global version newer as the EU version for somehow.
So I went for TWRP and flashed the EU version to both slots (not even sure if that was necessary). After a reboot I was back on the EU version and also the adb push worked again. So not sure what was done to the data partition during the update, but it just worked

Lol. Security means your data isn't visible for 14yo boy because of encryption blabla. Nobody said it's security if he is able to steal your phone and format the storage with your personal data.

Yes, it wipes everything off your device and make it like the first day of unboxing. But you can do the same by going into android settings and make a factory reset.

For OOS 10.0.1 there is no version. Use the latest 9.5.8 to get back on pie then update to stable 10.0.1 or stay on pie :good:

Question Root question for moto g stylus xt2115-1 2021

So I bought a moto g stylus 2021 from Motorola it's unlocked but not bootloader unlocked I don't know why there is a difference but whatever how hard could it be to unlock so anyways if I can get the bootloader unlocked I need to know if this is where I start the process of rooting here is the link to what I believe is the correct boot image

But also I was looking at what you sent and where the whole code names I didn't see anything about the XT2115-1 but on lolinet I found it and according to it my codename should be retus but I'm at work when I get home I'm going to use that fastboot getvar all method to double check but I'm pretty certain it will come up with retus all sorry if I posted in the wrong spot I thought this was the right place for my phone

Anyone get root on Moto g stylus xt2115dl using a root app without a computer? I've tried all of them and none of them
worked. Is it just me?

download the "lenovo rescue and smart assistant" plug your phone in, start to perform a rescue- it will download the latest firmware into C:\ProgramData\RSA\Download\RomFiles -
Extract the Rom it downloads and Copy Boot.img to your phone
download Magisk and install on your phone
open Magisk and select install magisk then select "Select and patch file" - browse to the boot.img file you copied to your phone and patch it
once patched copy back to your pc
download and install google latest platform-tools
reboot phone into fastboot mode by running this in cli: adb reboot-fastboot
then replace the bootimg with the patched one by using the command: fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot reboot
Oncre it reboots you should see magisk, click on it, itll auto update and reboot your phone
go back to magisk and click on install, but this time select (direct install)
reboot and done....

I stand corrected worked likea charm now to find some modules! thanks bro now I got 11 at least and got the root working. I will also give credit where i was asking others how to do it so that others can figure it out I was making it was to hard, although I would like a permanent twrp for it, but if i get time and all the trees maybe we can get it built.

I tried for months to get a ROM and Recovery built for this phone. Never could get a workable device/vendor tree. It was missing a lot of things. Not sure why. I tried about 4 different extraction methods, all of which only partially worked. I ended up deleting about 80gb of build related files from my HDD in frustration. I may try again someday soon, but I would much rather just replace this phone.

If you are talking about QFIL, then yes. Just pay attention to the steps (copied from another post) :
turn tablet off, disconnect to PC, open Qfil, press down the "volume +" buttom (do not release) and connect to pc (release till Qfil shows "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008(comx)").
A. Qfil-Configuration-FireHoseConfiguration:
1. device type: ufs
2. Reset After Download: check
B. the main window:
load content: the contents.xml file
then press download content and wait till it boots.

I tried to flash this rom step by step according to your instructions. Unfortunately I get the following error message: Sahara protocol failed

I'm sorry for this but I checked through Google, it's said some reasons could cause this error.
I think the ones below should be one of the causes:
1. QFIL version is old. I'm using 2.0.2.3, but there's newer versions.
2. USB cable should be the original one from the box not a random one.
3. when QFIL settings are all ready, press vol+ then connect to PC (do not connect to pc too early), then confirm QFIL shows "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008(comx)". And please keep USB connecting to PC till your pad boot to normal.
4. before flashing, pls make sure the qualcomm driver is correctly installed (in case of the windows driver signature check restriction).

I think I destroyed my Tablet today . I selcted the file rawprogram_unsparse0.xml. the Download Succeed and afterwards the Tablet shows the Lenovo Logo after start for mor than 10 minutes. It seems the chineses ROM has not been installed and the previous ROM has been deleted. Now I can access only bootload and adb shows
my Tablet in List of devices as unauthorized. Also a boot in EDL mode by pressing Volume + and Power is not possible anymore. I would be really thankful, if anybody has an advice for me, what I can do now.

I read something about that. They have to change the region of the tablet to Hong Kong.

I had this issue its the wireless band of your router. I had to set my router to Hong Kong band to get on the 5ghz band.

I was able to install this rom, but now I have an issue with the OTA. Was anyone able to apply the update 12.6.238 ST 8.27MB? Mine keeps me prompting to re-install the same version after reboot. I've tried many times.
By the way, I had hope I would get widevine L1 after installing the rom 210730, but that didn't happen .

Was anyone able to get widevine L1 after flashing this ROM?

Firstly, you have to factory reset the CN rom you just installed, otherwise your device will get bricked. Then you relock the bootloader with fastboot command "fastboot flashing lock". You will get widevine L1 back.

Is there an opportunity to unbrick the Tablet?

Sorry guys. Thiese roms are what I can find in chinese forums.
Since they can be upgraded (Mine is 606, and OTAs are all right, so I guess other models can be) through OTA, it seems no need to get the latest.
But if there appears any, I'll upload them.
It's National Day Holiday, 7 days starting from Oct. 1. I won't be online for long.
And I'm still trying to figure out how to flash the latest Global on 606 CN Ver.

Nothing official but I'm working on TWRP patching ramdisk. The Moto G Pure doesn't use the traditional recovery partition, so you have to replace the ramdisk recovery inside the boot.img

Hey I tried this and I lost where the file went. I have tried searching for c:\Programdata on my laptop and I came up with nothing. I tried saving the firmware to a different location and nothing happens. No matter how many times I downloadel firmware. Even with the changes location to download. Do I have to uninstall rescue and smart assistant to redownload the firmware from Rescue and Smart assistant to get boot.img. I hope to hear back

I could not find the Canadian version of the firmware in the listings. My build number is Retail or RETUS(I believe) S3RHS32.20-40-10-2. I'll have to check if that is right

Its because it is located in a hidden folder

My phone restarted for 2 hours and now it thinks it existed in 1969. It also now says it isn't a moto g pure but a generic android device and the serial number changed. Is there any way to encrypt the hardware so it cannot be remotely flashed again?

you dont need that as far as you can get into EDL mode you can flash with miracle tool box

So the Miracle Tool support SM-N976V SW Rev . bit7 (U7) ? I didn't find it specifically mentioned anywhere. In the EDL mode the Qualcomm sm8150 requires the firehose programmer. For other models this file seems to available so there is hope that for this model it can also be obtained from GSPN USA probably or from a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy who passed by a Samsung building once wink wink.

am telling you from experience it happened to my device i bricked it and i used miracle tool crack with just stock rom i did the EDL i just selected scatter file etc and i flashed and that was it
Anyways Good luck unbricking

Which update was it? I think the problem is the bit7 / U7 the firehose for that is another one if it worked for previous versions.

Okay,
I unpacked the firmware got the scatter file put the device in edl mode (with pins) and flashed the device .
But make sure you watch legit tutorials on YouTube how to get miracle tool box crack

Your stock rom it is in your stock rom just unpack it or use ODIN to unbrick

Odin does not see the phone because the phone is in 9008 EDL mode and the driver for that one is from Qualcomm. Odin wants a mode and driver from Samsung. For the Samsung download - Odin mode to work, the later Boot stages need to load. Those are messed up by wrong etoken bypass for the wrong Update version or wrong BL or tripepd knox erasure of the entire flash or something of that sort.
In the stock ROM I do not know which file you can call a scatterfile? Is it the PIT file which is used for formatting?

Well for sure the Miracle Box has a huge collection of loaders in the distribution, as well as XML files. Very interesting.
@Gudaji, it seems, however that with U7 there may be needed a new loader. The update "bit" is somehow set inside the CPU, which, from my understanding, prevents older loaders from working?

First of all do you have miracle tool box?
If so go to the Qualcomm tab and you will se flash tab under and then you select the files from your “extracted” firmware and flash while in EDL mode

The "Miracle Box Update 3.39 to 3.40 only for PS" informs me there is a new version and does not start. Maybe I do not have the right one.

There is a bypass for it but you have to look for it

First off how did you brick your device

Spammed the download mode with some wrong files. older etoken bypass, vbmeta disabled, KG disabled , eng. files, modem from other model, boot from other model, twrp recovery not sure which exactly was a successful flash and which were rejected due to checksum mismatch.
