Question iHeartRadio - Wear OS not available in region yet - Samsung Galaxy Watch 4

Tried to sign in to iHeartRadio and I get a message that Wear OS is not available in your region yet. I am located in Canada and wondering if this is a Canadian issue or am I missing something. Tried my google account and my iHeartRadio account and get the same message. iHeartRadio works fine on my phone, and is supported in Canada.

Tried Pandora in the states and it has wear os which works well so far...

I couldnt get iheartradio to work even with logging in. Press play, no sound from the speaker or bluetooth buds

Really weird bluetooth behavior since 6.0 upgrade

So I'm not sure if this is an issue in the Doggcatcher app or not. So here's my setup and details.
Nexus 5 completely stock 6.0. Phone has never been rooted, bought new from Play store. Bootloader is locked.
I am using an LG HBS-730 bluetooth stereo headset
I have 2 numbers on this phone, one is the carrier number (T-Mobile), the other is a Google Voice number that is managed by the most recent version of Hangouts with the Hangouts dialer.
Twice today, I have been listening to a podcast using the Doggcatcher app when an incoming call from my Google Voice number happens through Hangouts. The Doggcatcher app will pause, I will push the call answer button on the headset, and the phone call will begin but the podcast will resume playback at the same time. I can pause the podcast via the app controls on the phone and the call will continue as normal. The caller can hear the podcast as well.
Not sure if it's the app or the OS/bluetooth causing this but it's really confusing. I reported the issue with the developers of the Doggcatcher app, but I haven't posted it to Google yet.
Any ideas?

I have a slightly different problem with bluetooth, after update to 6.0 on my nexus 5 (stock) my polar running watch can't sync with the companion app. I can see the watch listed on blue tooth settings but when i click pair nothing happens.. Not sure if it's an app of OS /bluetooth issue.
I have an even more weird situation.
Ever since I updated my nexus 5 to android M, I started to experience google now voice input on android wear showing frequent disconnected in car, and I am streaming music at the same time.
Weird thing is this behavior only happens in car. If I try the voice input without phone BT connected to my car, everything is fast and fine.
I'm not sure what triggered this and I have done several experiments already.
- Even if I pause streaming music to car BT, Google now voice input on wear still shows disconnected in car.
- Weird thing is I can still use Google translate voice input on wear, while streaming music to car BT.
- My wear on Google now used to be able to recognize chinese (I think it's because I add chinese in google now setting on my phone). Now it only recognize english while google now on my phone takes chinese/english mixed. I set english as primary language and chinese as secondary on phone google now. In Google translate wear app, I can speak both english and chinese.
- I have reset/ connect/ disconnect wear multiple times. End result is still the same. Google now voice input on wear shows disconnected in car.
- Add Android Wear app to ignore list of battery optimization seems to make no difference.
Hmmm....strange stuff indeed. Hopefully someone smarter than myself can take a look at the issues. I know that I never had this problem on the final version of 5.1.1.

I solve my syncing issue between my watch and nexus 5 , it turns out i have to have my location service on along with bluetooth.
Source:
"If you are running OS 6.0 (Marshmallow), please note that Google has changed the permissions required for Bluetooth syncing. You must turn on location services to sync your tracker (Settings > Location). For more information about the latest Google permission requirements, see Google's Android 6.0 Changes document. "

2015-11-23 Gear Plugin and Manager Release in U.S. Problems

Hi all-
There was a new version of both the Gear Manager and the Gear Plugin on the play store in the U.S. today. I am using a non-Samsung phone (Nexus 6) running a CM based Lollipop ROM (AICP) and I found that the Gear Plug In does not allow notifications to get to the watch or for the watch to control the music player.
I had been running version 15101601N (last portion of version number) and everything worked great. When I installed 15111841N from the Play Store the watch still showed up as connected but no notifications were getting to the watch. I restored my old version of the Plugin with Titanium and everything worked again. I tried this twice with the same result, even resetting the watch while the new plugin was installed (the watch would not even get through the setup process).
My theory is there is something with the new plugin that is not allowing the phone and watch to actually exchange data even though they are connected.
Note that the new version of the Gear Manager causes no problems as it is currently installed and working with the old Plugin.
If someone knows a work around, please let me know. If not, I hope this helps someone else sort their problems if they occur for them.
Cheers,
Fred
Is notification access still checked on your phone? are you getting other notifications with the new plugin? I haven't updated mine (yet)
Edit - I installed the updates on mine with no issues. I'm receiving my notifications and music controls seem to be working fine
Thanks for the reply. I just noticed that I did not see the Samsung Accessory Service which also had an update. I installed that and then the new Gear Plugin and it works fine.
Sorry for the post.

google play not updating while roaming

Hi guys I'm currently traveling outside the US and for some reason my google play stop working, can't update or install any app, gplay says downloading but nothing happens. I have a pretty decent roaming internet connection and I'm able to search apps and access all my other google apps but is just gplay stuck with the downloading message.
I tried restarting the phone and switching to wifi but still issue persist anyone experienced the same behavior or with any ideas of why is this happening?
Its normal, because its problem of all phones running android 7.0 i dunno if they fix it with google monthly security patch but as i said its known problem.
Is it? Didn't know that but I'd say it is a weird bug to find at this stage
Which country are you currently traveling in? As we know, Google Play Store is not available in several countries.

Google Play music issue with Android auto

Since one week I am not able to play Google Play Music anymore through Android Auto. It says service isn't available at the moment. All other functions work. Has anybody the same issue? I have a 2017 Jetta and a Galaxy S8+ with latest T-Mobile updates.
Thanks
This is a related issue.
Here is a link http://www.androidpolice.com/2017/06/12/not-just-google-play-music-isnt-behaving-android-auto/
Mine was doing this last week too, started playing music on my phone before connecting it to the car and it has been fine since.
Not sure what is causing it though, it doesnt look like either of those apps updated recently to make it happen
Somestimes , the music can not be installed from Google ,but already indicate that can be downloaded

Google Play Music isn't working with all songs thru Android Auto, no idea what to do

So i recently got a new phone, and while AA worked perfectly great with my Galaxy S7E, it seems to have a few issues with my Huawei Mate 9 (purchased from Best Buy's website, unlocked US version i assume). It seems its a UI issue Huawei has a problem with across multiple devices as to why phone calls don't show on the AA screen, so i guess there isn't a whole lot i can do about that one, but Google Play Music about 3/4 of the time says the song is playing but i don't hear anything even though the volume is up. Is press my steering wheel controls to move it to the next song, and i have to keep going until i find a song that'll play. I thought maybe it was a cached music issue so i cleared the google play music cache, but nope. Reset AA, reset my headunit, uninstalled AA and reinstalled, pretty much most troubleshooting steps. Thought i managed to fix it last night, but nope. The issue came back this morning. Everything else seems to work fine in AA but that. I stream all my music thru my own library thru google play music so its kind of an important app for me, so its frustrating that this is happening. Everything works fine if i just play music over bluetooth, but doing it thru AA causes this issue and im not sure why. Any ideas? Thanks.
