When can LG G Pro II get Android L 5.0 ?
Any customised Android 5 ROM for G Pro 2?
http://www.latinospost.com/articles...-0-lollipop-release-date-download-list-lg.htm
March or April for G Pro 2 to get Lollipop?! If this is true, and the rumors of shutting down the G Pro series... Very bad news.
These are just rumors. 5.0.1 beta firmware for the Korean or Asian version is already up, downloadable, flashable.
People wanted to find an answer so hard, shady bloggers started posting stupid entries about them.
So people click the links, visit their site, etc. It's basically just clickbaiting.
tl;dr:
- We will get 5.0.x update soon. Very soon.
- 5.0 SUCKS. It SUCKS a LOT. There is a memory leak, design is broken, power management sucks, battery wise it's terrible..... so yeah.
- 5.0 also breaks older/not-ART-compatbile apps.
So you will get it. Should you update? It depends.
I doubt you can downgrade. I will wait for an 5.0.3 or so update.
Someone in the "General" forum said we will get the update by the end of February.
Again, this is just another rumor, it's NOT official.
LG doesn't seem to have a confident PR wing.
We have leaked ROM,
but I am scared to try it.

Please move this post to General.
Thank you!

[Q] Should I update?

Hello,
I recently bought the 1Million Gold edition from Italy, and I have the SP02 build. On the official huawei site it's available the MT7-TL10(Mate 7 Gold)_V100R001C00B120SP04 update.
Anyone else has it? should I update? How can I update? What's the procedure
Bare in mind it's not rooted and it's my first Huawei device, coming from OnePlus One and Galaxy Note series
Thank you
Anyone please?
Why the rush to update?
If your updater in settings shows no update then so be it but if there is new update then of course update.
If you decide to update via sdcard then you take matters into your own hands.
Caveat emptor.

Honor 8 (UK) update to Android 7.0/Nougat?

Hi all,
I'm from the UK and have the Honor 8, was wondering when I might be receving the Android 7.0/Nougat update?
Reason being, I've bought the phone and don't want to start using it until the update is installed, I liked the look of the Beta ect..
Maybe there is a way to update it manually? My phone is stock btw.
Cheers.
Depending on the variant of the Honor 8 you have, the update should be rolling out shortly. If you're eager to update your phone however, there are various methods available that should allow you to update your phone to Nougat; just do a quick look through of the other subforums for the Honor 8and you'll find your answer.

Look at this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/help/debrand-frd-al00-to-frd-l09-update-to-t3552445
Just skip root/debranding part. Charles method works seamlessly...
No I'm running N in FRD-L09 and it works great. It's really stable and EMUI5 is just amazing.

I made a video of my Oreo update - Mate 9 - OTA in the USA

If you already updated there is probably not much to see here, but if you have yet to get an update, or you are interested in the Mate 9 and/or EMUI 8.0, then you might see something here:

Is Android 9 Pie worth it? Still on 8.1 Aug here

I've a TA-1055 in the UK and haven't had an update since the August security patch 8.1.
I know others have the Android 9 update but I'm still waiting for the OTA to arrive. There are some features I like in the latest version but there are plenty of posts on here about problems and how to rollback to 8.1.
Like with every version if updates go smoothly and all working fine then yes updating is always recommended but Pie still seems buggy over all.
Is it worth upgrading yet?

Don't know if it is worth upgrading. I am also in UK on TA-1055 Oreo 8.1 but Oct security patch which came OTA. Still no sign of OTA update to 9 and HMD support is useless regarding info about UK versions getting it. They keep saying it takes time to roll out.

No real issues on mine, very happy with Pie.
But as this forum shows, YMMV.
No issues whatsoever on Pie, here. The only problem I have with the phone right now is that the brightness doesn't go below 16%, which isn't related to the Pie update, according to reddit.

I have an issue with camera... When taking a photo and trying to view it from within the app... the camera app just stop responding...
I did not have this issue on Oreo.

not have this problem with 3.39b on ta-1046
Not worth it if you like being a maybe semi newbie super user with this, because after it you'll become an iSheep.
As with any new phone I always disable most of the stock Google apps from the start. Just thought I'd re-enable the main Google app and reboot into safe mode.
Bosh! Now I get the update notification for Android 9 and ran the install plus received all the latest security updates.
Main instant issue on Pie is the search bar that cannot be removed without using a new launcher or rooting..Bugger
OTA Pie arrived on my UK TA-1055
Just to note that I got the OTA Pie update here in the UK on a TA-1055 last night. I was on 8.1.0 August before that.
It came through with the November security update, the December update came through straight after.
All seems to be working fine with no factory reset or out like that.
No issues with mine, but nothing to write home about either. Android 9.0 is meh in general. Don't stress so much about it.
I upgraded from Oreo w/ Oct SP to Pie w/ Dec SP. Is it worth the upgrade? I'll let the Pie battery stats speak for itself ? (n.b. I fully wiped /data by factory reset from recovery then restored from Google cloud backup).
