[Q] help with sd-ext partition

I've tried a few different roms on my SK4g, ODIN'd it twice in the process of trying roms.. I decided I'd try the 0bloat rom and saw it supports the sd-ext..
I created a 2048mb sd-ext partition in the RED clockwork recovery partition SD card under advanced.
should it not show up under mounts and storage? I just have:
unmount /cache
mount /data
mount /sdcard
unmount /system
format /cache
format /data
format /sdcard
format /system
mount USB storage
Under the instructions for "Stock 0 bloat KJ2" it says it supports the sd-ext partition. However I don't see it and it doesn't seem to be recognized by the phone.. I took my sdcard out and plugged it into a computer and the sd-ext partition mounts fine and it's listed as ext3.
any suggestions would be appreciated.

uh..
so nobody else does this? no suggestions?
it wont show up under mounts and storage, and isnt even mounted on the phone yet. download an app from the market called LINK2SD. when you first start the app, it will ask what type of partition you have (ext2, ext3, ext4, or FAT32). pick whichever one you have. after a moment, it will say something about mount script created and tell you to restart your device to mount the partition. reboot and the partition should be mounted. you can then install apps to that partition.

[Completed] Can't install app - insufficient storage available

I cannot install anymore applications. I got an error "Can't install app - insufficient storage available".
I lack place on my device, so I move app as much as I can to the External card using AParted and Link2SD.
I found out that every time I want to link to SD card with Link2SD I got a warning: "NOT MOUNTED - /data/sdext2 mount not found"
When Link2SD starts, it opens a window asking to select my SD card's second partition from the following list: ext2, ext3, ext4 (the others are irrelevant). Whatever I choose I get an Mount script error "Mount script cannot be created. Mount invalid argument".
I checked the Storage Info (using the Link2SD app), and found that all the "partitions" - like Internal, SDcard, External SD, System and Cache - have some data and the percentage of free place - except "SD Card 2nd Partition" that remains empty. There is even a label that says "NOT MOUNTED".
I searched my phone trying to find the "sdext2" to mount it (how do I do it?) - but I couldn't find it. This is an CATCH 22 situation  I cannot download and install app but I can continue to use my phone with a lot of app removed!
Is there a way to delete the /data/ext2?
is there a way to mount the ext2?
How can I repair it?
Somebody with some help?! Please, don't recommend me to use the frightened FACTORY RESET - I had enough of this solution!
thanks, Roby
Do you have root explorer set and mount R/W set correctly?
Are you sure you followed instructions to setup Link2SD correctly?

TWRP restore thinks /system is ro, though it is rw

On a Motorola Moto E Surnia: in TWRP 3.0.2.0 recovery, I can't restore from a TWRP-made backup. The message is "Cannot Restore System -- Mounted Read Only." OK, so I go to Advanced, Terminal and I type "mount -o remount,rw /system". Then I type "mount" to verify it's rw: yep. And yet Restore still refuses to do anything, because it thinks the system is mounted ro.
Here and there on the 'net there are people saying TWRP has a menu option to deal with this problem, but I've looked high and low through TWRP's other menus and I see nothing of the sort. There's the Mount menu, of course, which has a checkbox for "Mount system partition read-only" but tapping on that radio button doesn't do anything; it stays checked.
hello i have the same problem as you and i did all what you did still cant restore modem i have s5 g900p
Tried TWRP 2.8.7.0 recovery: same result. This really bites...

How to mount an ext4 filesystem sdcard and make it accessable for apps?

I had tried "mount -t ext4 /dev/block/*** /storage/sdcardext",but only apps run by root user can access "/storage/sdcardext" and see files in the folder, normal apps just found an empty folder, and can not see any files..
What can I do to solve this problem?android 6 phone.

cannot keep system partition and vendor partition mounted in twrp

Dear friends
I'm not sure, but I think i touch and did unmark the system and the vendor partitions in the "mount" section of twrp and now i can't keep this partitions mounted at twrp.
Two questiona:
1) At origin, how this two partitions are show at twrp? Marked or unmarked?
2) what can I do to remount these two partitions and keep them mounted? (If i simple try to mark them, they return to be unmarked at the list of mount partitions)
Thanks
