Question Signature spoofing on ROG 5 ? - ASUS ROG Phone 5 / 5s

I'm experimenting with rolling Micro-G on ROG5 and de-Google the device (on stock rom obviously). But getting successful signature spoofing is a blocker for me. The Xposed method is not working out , and neither is flashing patches.
Has anyone successfully signature spoofed an ROG 5 yet? If so, mind sharing how you did it. Thanks.

Did you ever solve this?

Hello, You can use this Xposed modules:
On android 11: https://github.com/whew-inc/FakeGApps (latest version should work also on Android 12)
On android 12: https://github.com/nift4/FakeGApps/releases
They are confirmed working, but don't check them with "signature spoofing checker" as they spoof signature only for GMS and Play Store. To install MicroG just systemlessly debloat original GMS and Play Store, reboot and install MicroG Magisk Module from Fox Magisk Modules Manager. This way You will have MicroG installed fully systemless way and You can install system updates from ASUS website without need to repeat installation of MicroG after each update.

Yes I did although didn't stick with it. I need Play Services to remain for a couple of things. Practically everything else Google is stripped from my device however and Play Service is heavily restricted, I found that to be the best solution for me.

[Magisk Hide] Device Certified, but Netflix isn't showing up.

Hey guys, I ask here for help because i'm unable to find a solution to this problem.
Here some information to my device:
OnePlus One
ROM lineage-14.1-20170807-UNOFFICIAL-Sultan-bacon
Root with Magisk v13.3
Magisk Hide is enabled
SafetyNet passed
Playstore shows Certified
No other modules.
Already tried
clearing PlayStore app data and reboot
DRM info from PlayStore, It's says supported.
Super Mario Run and other Apps that blocked for rootet devices appeared after i enabled Magisk Hide and passed SafetyNet, but i still cannot download Netflix.
I hope some of you have the same Problem or a solution for this.
I also dont see netflix on playstore. I live in VIetnam
I'm also experiencing this, tried with a couple of roms and it's the same on all of them. I think that maybe it's related to our opo that isn't completely eligible for nougat (no stock rom for it also) and google is blocking every opo+nougat regardless of actual safetynet status. It's only my thought though and waiting for a response from someone who knows for sure.
Have you tried PA yet? When I was on that ROM, I can install many apps which not available on Los and other ROM
I was on stock cos13 with magisk and it also didn't show up but it didn't really matter as I just downloaded the apk file
I thinks is on the kernel side that it detect the root , but try to download from apkmirror.com it should work fine
Updated everything to current versions. Still the same problem.
Is there any way to view the exact reasons why my device is not compatible?
This would be very bad.
On my girlfriends phone (Moto G3) everything is working fine. Same gapps and rom setup.
I finally got it working.
My current setup is:
- OnePlus One
- lineage-15.1-20180827-nightly-bacon
- Magisk-v17.0
| - Magisk Hide Enabled
| - Systemless Host Enabled
| - Hide Magisk Manager
- Magisk Module "Google Play Service Fix for Lenovo Vibe K5"
- open_gapps-arm-8.1-micro-20180901
It seems that it is necessary to falsify the device information, as Lisko has already mentioned, the OnePlus One is blocked by the Playstore for Netflix if the Android API is higher than the last official ota.
This is done by the Magisk module mentioned above.

Rooted OOS - Replace GApps with microG?

Anyone aware of replacing stock GApps with microG on the stock rom? I'm sure signature spoofing would need to be enabled (via Haystack?) and assuming other changes as well. Mainly looking for a stock-ish setup with GApps and telemetry removed similar to the Tomatot Debloater but keeping as much stock functionality as possibly - VoLTE, VoWifi, fp, etc.
Thanks!
Yes it is possible, I am running MicroG on OOS 10.3.0. You can delete GmsCore (Google Play Services) and Google Services Framework in /system/system/product/priv-app through TWRP by mounting system. OOS doesn't have signature spoofing so you'll also need to use EdXposed for FakeGapps and XposedGmsUnifiedNlp. Then flash the MicroG Installer (Magisk module), and update microG in F-Droid. You can then remove all of the OOS filth and spyware with the debloater module. For this ti work, GmsCore and Google Services Framework cannot be debloated, they have to be deleted manually. For some reason safety net isn't passing atm, still figuring this out.
What even is the point of using microG on a proprietary rom? I suggest you use a rom which supports signature spoofing by default like aosip 10

Safetynet will not work because it's MicroG. I've seen some users manage to pass safetynet with MicroG but you will need to rely on hacky workarounds like NanoDroid (although I personally wasn't able to get safetynet to pass).
You cannot degogle few things like google package installer, googleExt (something like that), when i tried to google them i got bootlooped, however i tried to remove them via debloter (magisk module), if anyone have completely removed gapps let me know
also microg or unifiednlp dont detect proper location for me when i am at my home idk why.

OOS is currently the best rom IMO, chiefly because the OOS camera is that much better than the gcam ports, not to mention the roms stability.
My old phone has MicroG and safety net passes. I know it's possible, it's probably related to OOS not supporting signature spoofing.

NOGAPPS? MicroG?

Anybody gotten MicroG working on the Moto G7 Power? I've got the MetroPCS version, flashed with the RETUS firmware and rooted with Magisk. I've got most of the Google apps systemlessly uninstalled with the Terminal Debloater Magisk module but would like to get rid of Play Services too without losing stock rom and OTA updates. I always used NanoDroid before on my previous phone, Moto G3, but I can't seem to get it to work on this one. Running the patcher to make the stock rom support signature spoofing seems to work and NanoDroid seems to install without errors but when I reboot from TWRP the MicroG settings are nowhere to be found. It's listed in Magisk and MicroG and it's helper apps are listed as installed apps in Terminal but there is no way to access it. NanoDroid supposedly systemlessly removes any GAPPS that would cause a conflict with MicroG and I can verify in Terminal that Play Services & Play Store, at least, are no longer installed. I also tried the MicroG installer found in the Magisk repository with pretty much the same results. I thought that one might work since the NanoDroid Bromite Webview installer fails to install on this phone, claiming incompatibility, yet the Bromite Webview installer in the Magisk repository works without issue so I was hoping the same might be true with the MicroG installer but no such luck. I've tried various little variances in installation trying to get it to work but I'm pretty much stumped at this point.

[Tips] Google Pay on Rooted Android Phone

If you want to make your Google Pay work, make sure you followed those steps below
Use AOSP/LOS or OEM Based rom. MIUI 7 and 8 have problems with SafetyNet [Even if you have Magisk installed]
***MOST IMPORTANT***
[###ROOT###]
Check your Selinux Mode in the About Phone section in Settings.
Selinux is another Google Protection featured with Kitkat in 2014
If you have Permissive, change it to Enforcing using this app [Download Attached Files]
Reboot after applying Enforcing. Don't Delete Selinux Mode Changer, You will lose your Enforcing and will be switched back to Permissive
Use Magisk only - Don't use SuperSu, it doesn't have Hiding features and it is not supported anymore
If magisk triggers your SafetyNet (Main reason why Google pay stops working) install the SafetyPatch module or Magisk Hide Props or check your SafetyNet. That will fix your safety net.
Don't use XPOSED, it will trigger safety net even if magisk hide working. Xposed modify Boot.IMG, the reason for the safety net to trigger. If you cant live without Xposed, use EDXPOSED magisk module, install Riru core, riru edxposed and Xposed installer that will not trigger your safety net (Please note: Android 5.1 Android 6.0 get bootloop because of EdXposed, sorry guys no luck)
Don't Update you GOOGLE PAY - google updates security patch, magisk too Update your Google pay rarely
Always update your magisk and try to download magisk from Github.
Check your Safety net and make sure your Selinux is in Enforcing Mode
???
If that helped you, you are welcome
thanks for this solution.
Regards
Ginifa

That Google Pay image says your phone is rooted, but it says that as an example as what could have tripped off Safety Net.
Safety Net failing doesn't mean you a rooted. Safety Net is designed to fail if you have an Unlocked bootloader.

It sucks, but for things like Google Pay, I'd strongly suggest that you just give up. Google is contractually obligated to play this game with you and try to prevent you from using it on a rooted "insecure" device so they can process card payments.
I have moto G5+ with unlocked bootloader and magisk. Google pay works fine and saftey net does not fail if bootloader is unlocked
I have a custom rom. Only way to get Magist working was to install EdXposed and hide module. SafetyNet Test also says safetynet passes but my gpay doesnt want to work. Assuming its seeing edxposed perhaps. Anything else i can do

I also have moto G5+, But still not unlock boothloader. I need study more for unlocked it, however this comment is helpful to get a decision for me, Thanks.
Tutuapp Movie HD Cokernutx
Google Play warns me to uninstall SELinux Changer, then shuts my phone down. I tried uninstalling it then rebooting, but the phone is behaving extremely oddly and shutting down by itself.
Now I have to format it, just to be sure.

Question microG working?

Has anyone managed to get microG working yet?
I can get it installed via the revived or nanodroid Magisk modules, but haven't been able to get Signature Spoofing box ticked.
Have tried FakeGApps and Core Patch (LSPosed), and Smali patcher, no dice.
dude....couple more details what u talking about
microG is an alternative to google play services, with some flaws but less battery-sapping (and privacy-compromising) tracking.
now i can say....i have no clue what u talking about

vanced microG worked on my phone (noroot)
Depending on a variety of factors the boxes will not tick, however stuff would be working, as simple as opening play store, which won't open if it weren't properly set up.
Let us know.
Hey, did you get it to work? Also, did using Magisk mess up any other features (like the original camera app or anything else)?
I got it working beautifully thanks, no harmful side-effects, and this is what I ended up using for signature spoofing, which wasn't too hard to set up compared with some other options out there:

Just to reiterate this post... You are running Stock Android/Rooted/De-Googled and replaced with Micro G right? I have been on a quest the past week or so trying to find a ROM that works but it has been a lot of soft bricking and compromises once I do get one up and running. So this would be ideal for sure. Replace GAPPS with Micro G and keep the Sony camera apps. Either way I'll dig through those links and see what I can get figured out. Thanks!
