How to unbrick Motorola G50 5G 9008 EDL - ROM-Provider
unbrick is a process to repair a device that was bricked, with in Motorola G50 5G user face two type of brick- soft brick and hard brick.
romprovider.com
solved everything

I wouldn't suggest running scripts for another device, but I'm glad you got your phone unbricked, you can also root it using magisk and the files Smart Assistant downloads for your phone

Okay... Just out of curiosity... Couldn't I technically flash a non-oem locked flash file....

From what I've read either 1 of 2 things will happen. 1 you will be able to flash through qdl 9008 just fine. And maybe flash back to stock of the "new" device if the OEM didn't relock to the old firmware binary. Or 2 the blank flash works but in flashing but after aiming for firmware install it bricks and you will not be able to software or cable boot into qdl 9008 mode.
I have seen similar results so as to the flashing the new blank flash. You will NO LONGER have working qdl9008 mode without pinouts. Flash wisely.

This is where you can find your stock stuff for this device.
lolinet mirrors - firmware, software, iso etc.
lolinet mirrors - powered by h5ai
mirrors.lolinet.com

Well based upon what I've seen from this firmware(the -4 set) it literally looks like cricket took their apps, and disabled the rest for easy carrier unlocking support... It would definitely be risky I suppose but not as risky as one might think.

Help with unbricking a hardbricked H631

Long story short, a kdz flash may have been interrupted. Now I am unable to boot my stylo at all. I can however see it under device manager, where it is labeled "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008". Is there anything I can do to fix this?
I bricked mine and used LG Bridge to get to Lollipop and then I took the OTA to Marshmallow
Also, LG UP method can be used as well.

I kinda am stuck in this position too. Does LG bridge pick it up in this mode? Did you have that problem? I've been trying and it seems the only thing I can find is QPST using QFIL but then I can't seem to transfer the data and get an error about Sahara not being able to transfer the data over.

I have the MetroPCS version and totally screwed up messing around with something. I had no recovery. I had to use one of the methods to get it back up and running.
If you have the Tmobile or Metro version, you should be fine.
Did you have the same QDLoader 9008 issue?
LG Bridge doesn't appear to be working for me as it's not even detected.
Try LG Flash tool. That can get you back to Lollipop.

Or LG UP method should work.

I can't actually access download mode, meaning neither of those options can detect my phone.

Use a different USB cable. That's what happened to me. I had to try every single USB cable in my house, even from other phones.
AFAIK, in order to fix a hard bricked (Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008) lg stylo we need make something like this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-...nbrick-g-stylo-ls770-qualcomm-hs-usb-t3368269) but for the H631/MS631 variant.
Can some of you look at THIS method used on LG V10 TMO variant for unbricking Qualcomm 9008?
I posted a thread HERE with the instructions from the user that created the backup and method to unbrick.
Hi, have the same qualcomm 9008 issue aftet kdz, so is there any solution?
So the brick is so bricked you can't even get to download mode.
Lg h631 hardbricked
Please any solution yet on this thread? I have had the same issue for a year now.
LGMS631 (MetroPCS LG G Stylo) Root/Unbrick/Recovery
So, I think I've managed to salvage my bricked Stylo, I somehow also managed to root my Fiance's LG G Stylo that's on the 6.0 update...
Since I can't find any ways to fix this problem on the internet I'll post what I did here so hopefully I can get some other people out of deep water with their phone.
Here is the thread I made I don't think it will work for a hardbrick, but it might be worth a shot..
LGMS631 MetroPCS LG G Stylo Backup (Unbrick/Root) Android 6.0
That won't work because your phone still works. You can boot past the 9008 mode.
So basically the phone is useless and can't be brought back to life at this point
I'm in the same position, flashed a lollipop kdz on a marshmallow and it effectively trashed the emmc. Without an insider leaking signed programmer and flasher mbns, flashing via sahara is not possible. For the moment, you need one of those expensive 20pin JTAG boxes and documentation for the ISP points(I can't find this info, it's paywalled). Under the shield facing the back of the phone is a header that may be for JTAG, but I haven't bothered probing as I don't think it's practical for unbricking.

LG W41 (LM-K610IM) dead bricked by my stupidity. Could it be somehow revived?

Greetings everyone. I didn’t find a thread for this specific phone model. So I am putting it up here. Few days back I decided to unlock the bootloader of my LG W41 (LM-K610IM) and upgrade to a custom ROM. So, I used fastboot mode to unlock the bootloader and up until now everything went like a dream. Problems started when I couldn't get a TWRP recovery for my specific model. I downloaded a generic one and first tried to push it to my recovery partition. That's when I learned my phone doesn't have a recovery partition. I don't know what came to me then I used fastboot flash command to flash the TWRP image to my boot partition. It was successful but my phone won't start after that. It was a softbrick. Only the LG logo started bootlooping. But the worse was still not over. In an attempt to restore my device I searched everywhere for the stock ROM as the official website is down, but couldn't find any. At last, I zeroed in on a similar device by the same manufacturer LG K52. It had the ditto hardware like LG W41. Even the model number was similar. So, I downloaded the KDZ file. Extracted the dz from the kdz and the boot.img from the dz using LG KDZ extractor . Made a scatter file using a Hovatek instruction and using WWR MTK tool and formatted my device using SP flash tool and flashed everything. Till now my device was detected by the Windows 11 PC as a LGE device. Anyways the SP tool successfully flashed everything but after that my won't turn on any more. It's total dead. It won't power on, pc won't recognize it. I have tried connecting using USB and all possible hardware key combinations. It is dead bricked I think. All because of my stupidity. Now my question is, does it have any hope left or should I throw it away and buy a new device? I am keeping my fingers crossed and hope to find a superhero
Edit 1: SP Flash tool doesn't see my device any more. I have all the specific drivers installed. From LG and from Mediatek.
Try LG Bridge or check lg-firmwares.com
or
buy/borrow second device and 1:1 clone with mtkclient
Thanks for the quick response, but I have already tried LG Bridge, LGUP . After soft brick LGUP was seeing device as "unknown at COM Port 9". After hard brick it doesn't see it any more. Actually my PC won't see the device anymore
The firmware is not available at LG-firmwares.com but I have requested for it there. Keeping fingers
you should be able to repair preloader from bootrom mode (BROM)

To put your device in BRom mode you may need a different key combination or a test point, find out on the internet how to put the device in BRom mode or ask various devs of that device

Okay let me ask and I will follow up. Thank you for the amazing guidance. Let's see if the poor device could be saved
you should poll lsusb in linux while trying to connect usb with both vol keys pressed. disconnect battery from pcb if possible to ensure phone is off.

Question [ASK FOR FILE] patch0.xml and rawprogram.xml for Moto G Stylus X2131-1???

Im rather new to this whole ordeal, but is there any way to get a patch0.xml and rawprogram.xml or even possibly make them for this device? I want to use QFIL to reflash my rom because my bootloader is soft locked (able to boot into it, cannot unlock because the stupid oem unlock setting isnt checked in android but I can't get into android). Anything helps!
If it boots into fastboot, you would just need to flash the original firmware for the device
lolinet mirrors - firmware, software, iso etc.
lolinet mirrors - powered by h5ai
mirrors.lolinet.com
Should be able tell the variant by running this command
Code:
fastboot getvar ro.carrier

Would you be able to do this even with a locked bootloader?
Yes, as long as the firmware matches your variant. Flashing the wrong one will brick your device. If you use Windows, you can try flashing with the official LMSA tool, it will download the correct firmware and flash for you.

The official tool says "RSA detect that your device is flash locked. To avoid damage to the device caused by flashing, RSA recommends that you go to the customer center for help." When I run...
fastboot oem unlock <Unlock code>
it says...
(bootloader) Check 'OEM unlocking' in Android Settings > Developer
(bootloader) Options
FAILED (remote failure)
finished. total time: 0.178s
I cannot boot into android
Sorry, I should have explained in better detail, my bad
Your right, I forgot Moto locks out most fastboot commands when the bootloader is locked, this wasn't always the case.
You'd have to remove the back cover and antennas to expose the motherboard then short test points to force it into edl mode. Same process as this
EDL test points and blank-flash boost mobile
Here are the edl (emergency download mode) test points for Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G XT2131.

Your board might be different than the one in that thread, hard to say without knowing your variant. Then you have to find a blankflash that's compatible. Lolinet has a few, and some are uploaded to forums like in that thread. Asking on discord is you best bet if it's not already shared.
I was able to find out that I have a Retus device and found the right flash file. Once I'm in fastboot mode though the bootloader is still locked and I have the same issues. Is there any way to unlock it with EDL? Or at least flash an unlocked bootloader?
You'd need to put your phone into edl by removing the back cover/antennas and shorting edl test points. It will allow you to flash the blankflash which, if successful, will load fastboot in a state that will let you flash stock firmware(because the rest of the system is wiped). Afaict your edl test points should be the same as Boost variant in that thread I linked to.

Hard Bricked oneplus 8t not starting EDL mode

Hi everybody,
I've Oneplus 8t kb2003 updated to the last ota firmware 13.1.
I tried to downgrade it to 13 by flashing full OTA payload.bin using fastboot enhance app but unfortunately the device is bricked.
Usually when such thing happen I boot the EDL mode and use msm tool to unbrick it which worked for me couple years before but for some reason the device is not detected at all on EDL mode!
The device manager not showing any thing called qualcomm even the msm tool not detecting any thing.
I tried to redownload the qualcomm driver and followed all instructions in this link , used 3rd party cables and the original cable and changed ports but nothing happens
It's like the phone is completely dead
any ideas how to get out of this mess ?

P.S: Don't use fastboot enhance app, as it wasn't updated for quite some time and was reason of bricking several phones after flashing.
If you used Fastboot Enhance it could have flashed the wrong xbl file for your RAM type. If is it so, the only thing you can try is a deep flash cable or shorting the test pins on the motherboard.
