Phone Bricked - HELP! - OnePlus 7 Pro Questions & Answers

A while ago i installed Lineage OS onto my OP7Pro without issue. I am now trying to go back to the stock OP OS.
I seem to have completely wiped the storage and now I just get "Qualcomm Crashdump Mode dm-verity device corrupted force dump kernal_restart".
I installed twrp on my PC and managed to boot the phone into twrp, I then pushed the twrp-installer.zip to the phone using adb, and then using the phone installed the zip, however when the phone reboots it just goes straight back to the Qualcomm Crashdump screen.
I have tried:
fastboot boot twrp.img (sucessfully boots phone into twrp)
adb sideload twrp-installer-3.5.2_9-0-guacamole.zip (adb confirmed sucessfull but then I can not find the file on the phone)
adb push twrp-installer-3.5.2_9-0-guacamole.zip /sdcard/ (when I go the install on twrp the file is there and I can install it)
But after reboot it's just straight back to Qualcomm Crashdump.
I tried msm and that didn't work, it would not detect the device.
Can anyone please help??

Try:
fastboot --set-active=other
Then fastboot boot TWRP.img
Install any ROM.zip or stockOOS.zip reboot to fastboot, boot TWRP and flash magisk.
If that doesn't work try again with msmtool, remember press both volume buttons for 5 seconds and connect USB cable(still pressing volume buttons) and your device should be detected

How to install TWRP into the LG P500H from Koodo?

I have a Koodo LG P500H. I am having a very hard time installing TWRP.
Firstly Play store doesn't work. It has this old thing called "Market" that has some apps, but not all. Market eventually gets updated to Playstore, but I can't even find TWRP manager. There was another app in the Playstore that I tried called ROM Manager. It said it installed TWRP for me. I restarted the phone, and nothing happened.
Restarting and Holding power/volume down/home will show a picture that seems to be some sort of recovery mode. But it only run for 1-2 seconds before the phone restarts itself. Nothing happens.
I tried to use ADB. But after rebooting the device it just restarted without ever going into recovery mode. So the flash command just get stuck at "Waiting for Device." Does this phone even have a recovery mode?
This phone doesn't support Odin.
I am used to using TWRP. Without it I cannot flash the phone into new OS.
And every single time I fail, the whole phone seems to have reformatted. So I have to enter in my wifi password and gmail again. All of that typing on a very small keyboard takes a lot of time. I had spent hours on this phone without getting TWRP working.
Please help.

The problem is when I reboot into fastboot (adb reboot bootloader), the phone will go into "phone off battery charging mode". It never actually goes into the bootloader.
Ok I did the following and it seems fastboot and TWRP works now. Be sure to enable USB Debugging on your P500.
1) Fastboot tutorial (I did everything here. I hit "ok" on the LGMDP 1.5 tool as needed. Do not wait till the countdown timer goes to zero.)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=15122833&postcount=100)?
FastBoot Tutorial
1. Please download this (or from here) file and unzip it in to any folder.
2. Start LGMDP 1.5 tool with the phone connected (you need to have USB drivers installed) and click on Select Port
3. A separate window should appear like the one below
Just click connect
4. Another window will take shape (LGE Mobile security) with lots of options (links)
Click on the first upper right Browse and select the folder in with you have unzipped the files. You will get some errors that some image, table or headers are missing. Just click OK and in the end everything that should remain selected is Partition Table, APPSBL Image Header and APPSBL Image.
Now just close the window (click on x)
5. Now you are back on the main window and here you'll have to click on Download
6. You are almost done and from now on everything should go on automatically.
NV Backup
Autorestart in Emergency\Download mode and upgrade the files (you selected on step 4)
NV Restore (the last step) Do not disconnect the USB cable until the restore is done
Wait for the phone to restart in normal mode (your current rom).
That should be everything you need to do to get fastboot enabled.

2) Install PdaNet+ (This was the only thing I did in this tutorial. It fixed the usb driver and the fastboot can then communicate with my PC.)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1350733
http://pdanet.co/a/
(Note: On top of Partition Table, APPSBL Image Header and APPSBL Image in step 4, I also selected the TWRP image file as my RECOVERY image. Not sure if this make a difference. )
(Note 2: I think you can also get the LG drivers here.)
3) Restart, hold down power + home to boot to the fastboot. Or in ADB type adb reboot bootloader.
4) Open ADB (while phone is still in fastboot mode) and type fastboot flash recovery twrp.img (after downloading the TWRP image, renaming it and moving it to my ADB root folder. I am using TWRP 2.8.0.1 here.)
5) Type fastboot reboot
6) After the phone restarts, type adb reboot recovery. TWRP runs for me. Power+Home+Volume Down (3 button combo) also works now. (Previously this would reset the phone.)
Hey Man, im glad it worked. I could use your help.
I bricked my phone and need the restore file, Do you think you could make a backup from TWRP and upload it?
I would be super grateful.
Thank you.
Here is a zip with CM11, twrp 3.0.2.0 and Gapps for CM11.
Its the best rom I found.

Hi. What is your "brick" like? Does your TWRP still run? If yes you can just copy a custom OS into your Microsd card and install it from your Microsd.
You can also use ADB push to move files from your PC to the phone.
http://www.androidauthority.com/android-customization-transfer-files-adb-push-adb-pull-601015/
Sent from my MT2L03 using XDA-Developers mobile app
If you TWRP doesn't run, you need to install that first. Do steps 3 and 4 in the above post to boot into bootloader and install TWRP.

Cannot boot my OnePlus 6! Please help!

Hey guys!
So, my OnePlus 6 won't boot! My problems started when I tried to flash MIUI 10 port. Idk what I did, and appeared to me "your device is corrupted". But ok, i could boot normally.
Then, I tried to downgrade, as there is a tutorial here in XDA, I was in OOS 9.0.4, then rollback to 5.1.1 (i guess) with appropriate file. Installed it, and rebooted it. But it was taking longer than I expected, and I rebooted it into fastboot mode to flash stock image into fastboot (as there is a tutorial here too). And after this, the ROM install, in my computer everything seems to be ok, but as soon as the CMD reboots it, the message "unlocked bootloader" appears, and then, goes black. Only that. Oh, the notification LED also lights up white!
I connected it into my pc, and i can hear the sound that "something is plugged in", but I can do nothing. I can access fastboot mode normally though.
Tried the tutorial in msm download tool, but had some problems... I mean, it doesn't recognize my phone, but if I put in PowerShell, and type "fastboot devices", it recognizes it.
Could you please help me?

Did you installed fastboot adb drivers and oneplus drivers?
Or maybe try to wipe everything in fastboot and then install fastboot stock rom...
Follow the guide of msmdownloadtool, it's the best way to recover your phone, it's a pain the part of install the qualcom driver, but persist
only way to recover stock receovery and back to normal is to install msmdownload tool you can see the videos available on you tube

I tried this method before, and find this method to be simpler. If the PC is not recognizing your phone, try powering completely off, then press Volume Up button for at least 5 secs before plugging into the PC and going into the MSM flashing tool. You don't need OnePlus drivers preinstalled for the PC to recognize your phone in this state. From there, just click "Start" on the MSM flashing tool, and wait for your phone to boot back to life. Take note any data inside will be completely wiped clean, like it was flashed from the factory. This YouTube guide here will help you better understand this.

If you are able to use fastboot, can you download the latest compatibly TWRP for your device from the official website (twrp.me) get the IMG & ZIP files ( you can use just the image for both, but to keep it simple get both).
Boot into TWRP using the image you just downloaded by running
Code:
fastboot boot <img file name>
Your device should reboot into TWRP.
With your device in TWRPyou should be able to push the file to the phone using ADB push.
Code:
adb push <twrp zip file.zip> /sdcard/
From within TWRP install this zip image. * Now you should have a permanent TWRP recovery, until another OS/recovery flash.
To get the OS on the phone now -
Download the most recent official release for Stable OOS.
Code:
adb push <full os image.zip> /sdcard/
*That should put the file in the root of the SD card folder.
Again use TWRP to install this zip file on to the phone. * This will wipe the TWRP image we had just installed.
To get TWRP again, just flash TWRP after the OS image flash.
I would also suggest, reboot back into TWRP and install the OS & TWRP again as above.
Flashing the OS twice will flash the same version on both Partition A & B. This is essential.
If you find these steps confusing then the simple solution would be to use the MSM downlad tool it does everything for you with a few clicks.

URGENT!! Fastboot can't be detected on PC Android 10 Boot slot TWRP

I'm sure my drivers are fine cuz i messed this up via fastboot.
so i got android 10 on my op7p. There were some magisk modules that caused a bootloop. But i cant uninstall those modules without twrp. So i decided to flash twrp into a boot slot via fastboot. then, i set the active-slot to that. but then I still don't get twrp idk why. Now, I can get into fastboot but my pc doesnt detect it, I cant boot into the system either. The only thing my pc detects is when i power the phone off and plug it in, it automatically boots into the unlocked bootloader screen and gets stuck in there. PC detectes an "unknown usb mass storage device". HELP!!!

How did you flash twrp? On A/B devices like the OP7P you can't simply fastboot flash twrp since that will cause you bootloops. To install twrp you have to fastboot boot the image and when TWRP is booted you have to flash the installer zip file. Since you are now stuck in a bootloop, you can try to recover your boot image with something like this https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...isk-patched-boot-image-oneplus-7-pro-t3964345 (no guarantees on this).
Fastboot flash this image and see if you can boot again. If that does also not work I believe the best thing you could do is reset everything with the MSMDownloadTool.
Did you use this command: fastboot flash recovery filename.img?
If yes, you'll have to use MSM to restore it

Badly f*d Op7Pro. Need help to revert to stock

Hi,
First of all, yes, I have checked the other threads that talk about reverting to stock and I am still stuck.
So I installed Kang OS which is Android 11, and now I want to revert to stock. I have tried downloading multiple different versions of the fastboot ROM from the page https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=294300 and run the flash all batch file and every time I am either getting stuck in a boot loop or getting the Verity Crash Dump Screen. I have managed to reach the fastboot screen, and I am waiting on the fastboot screen, for someone to show me some way.
Thanks in Advance.
If you used a pin then your storage is encrypted and the rom you are trying to flash can't use it, that's why you're most likely stuck at boot.
I ran into the same issue and posted about it in the same thread. I think we will need a new version of TWRP as 3.4.0-0 would not accept my pin which had not changed.
To fix your issue, sadly, you'll need to wipe your storage:
Boot the phone into fastboot mode
Attach your USB cable to the phone/PC
Download and unzip the file I've attached (ADB/Fastboot)
Launch an elevated command window in the folder you extracted the attached zip to
Try the command fastboot devices and ensure that it reports the device correctly, if not then you need to install the latest OnePlus drivers
Type the following in the command window : fastboot -w (This will wipe the storage)
Try your rom again (TWRP should remain as the recovery if you had flashed it already, if not then copy the latest TWRP img file to the same folder as the ADB/Fastboot tools, use fastboot and type boot twrpfilename.img this will make the phone boot into TWRP recovery, you can then copy over the TWRP zip and flash it to recovery using the booted version of TWRP)
Once you've done the above you shouldn't really need to use the fastboot scripts as the latest rom should just flash from TWRP.
Get msm download tool for guacamole which is the codename of the op7p. I know the shorts with the global version I am unsure if this works with T-Mobile or others?
MSM is a bit of a severe fix when they've already confirmed they can still get fastboot, MSM is for completely bricked phones that can't access anything. Wiping the storage and going to fastboot will allow them to just flash recovery then flash the stock rom. Way easier.
Boot into twrp. Then format data. Phone will boot then.

IN2017/TMO flashing Global failure, stuck with CrashDump & Fastboot, no EDL/MSM, etc.

Hi guys,
I think I've tried it all at this point so I'm in need of some help.
I've got the T-Mobile IN2017 version of the OP8. I wanted to get rid of the T-Mobile junk and get access to the "regular" updates.
I started with this guide: [Guide] Convert to Global [WIP]
I got my unlock token today and gave 11.0.0-GLOBAL-OnePlus8Oxygen_15.O.30_OTA_0300_all_2010031624_c5e68b42b3325-FASTBOOT a shot. When it booted into Rescue Mode I assumed something had gone wrong so I told it to wipe everything and I figured I'd start over. I realized this was probably a good thing because I had neglected to backup anything.
I used instantnoodlet_15_O.16_201001 to reset. I couldn't get the volume up + volume down combination to work at all so used adb to reboot in edl. All went well.
I then re-unlocked the bootloader, flash booted into twrp-3.3.1-test10-instantnoodle-unified-mauronofrio.img and made some backups.
I installed the latest Magisk (changing .apk to .zip) within TWRP, and used adb shell to make a backup of my persist.img
I went back to 11.0.0-GLOBAL-OnePlus8Oxygen_15.O.30_OTA_0300_all_2010031624_c5e68b42b3325-FASTBOOT and ran the flash-all.bat but this time it failed and I've found myself bricked: CrashDump Mode.
I've only been able to switch betwen CrashDump Mode, off, and Fastboot. When I'm in Fastboot if I try to start or boot in recovery it just ends up back at CrashDump. If I do a hard power off and try holding volume up + down to get into edl I end up at Fastboot again as soon as I plug the usb in. The commands fastboot reboot edl, fastboot oem edl, and fastboot reboot-edl all give me errors. I can no longer flash boot into TWRP. I've tried flashing the 11.0.0 Global again but I get "Flashing is not allowed for critical partitions" and "partition not found" errors before I end up back at the CrashDump screen.
When in CrashDump it shows up in my device manager as Qualcomm HS-USB Diagnostics 900E (COM13). When I'm in fastboot it appears as OnePlus Android Bootloader Interace. I have uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled the drivers (OnePlus_USB_Drivers_Setup, QDLoader HS-USB Driver_64Bit, androidwinusb). I'm using the latest Platform Tools. I am in test mode and I have turned off driver signature.
I only have two USB 3.0 ports and I don't have access to another Windows PC. I have used three different USB cables, including the OnePlus original, in both ports. I have taken off my phone case to make sure nothing is interfering with me pushing volume up + down. My thumb hurts from pressing it so much. I've done this dozens of times now. No EDL.
I'm at a loss. Someone please help me!
Edit: I've tried using the All-In-One-Tool but it says reboot to EDL doesn't work because I'm in fastboot and trying to boot into the latest twrp still just sends me back to CrashDump.
Solved!
I came across this twrp guide: [TWRP][3.6.0-11-b7][instantnoodle]TWRP for OnePlus 8/8Pro ][OFFICIAL][BETA] and unlike the other I had used, this one didn't warn against flashing and only booting. I flashed the img for twrp-op8-3.6.0_11-infected-b4 to recovery_a and recovery_b and booted into recovery. At first it just said I was in fastboot, it didn't give me all the usual twrp options, and the only buttons were to reboot and to switch between fastboot and adb (which did nothing, it stayed in fastboot). I tried to reboot to edl and ended up back at the fastboot screen. From here I tried again to boot into recovery and this time I got all the usual twrp options. I rebooted into edl and was able to successfully unbrick with the 10.5.7 MSM. Flashed the global 10.5.7 MSM and I'm set. Updated to A11 and everything is groovy!
