Is it possible for one to modify the super.img of the newest firmware so we can update? I don't know where the patching is needed to allow for updates.

V4 currently not possible to patch. i havent worked with it yet. <
v3 can probably be patched to receive OTA depending on the CSC
but why ? that will get you updated to v4
new versions will probably lock the bootloader
I recommend to stay on the current versions your at.

No problem will make full ROM soon
Link is down... Or was it taken down to work on update ? or ?
So this is the first ever ROM I've seen (although it is missing now) for any variation of A326U or any other variant...
Has anybody been able to find ROM's for any non US A32 5G variants (A326U, A326B etc) since they suppose to be the same once the bootloader is unlocked ???
The lack of ROM's for a phone that has been given away for "free" makes me unsure it is worth it to unlock the bootloader.
Has anybody found any other ROM for any variants of any market for the A326(x)'s ?

sooon for a326u.
You can try fllashing a GSI
any update on any custom roms for Samsung SM-A326B 5g
i cant find any online and its taken my a while to unlock the oem lock, root and install twrp but again im in a boot loop as cant find a custom os to flash.
Any recommendations and links please?
I would force a reboot using the power and volume down keys pressed simultaneously. Then I would quickly press and hold the volume up and power keys to enter TWRP recovery where you can decide what to do next, such as reinstall Magisk, backup data, etc.
thanks i have done that previously but it keeps rebooting into twrp. i think i need to flash a rom but cant find one

Does anyone know where i can find ANY custom roms for the SM-915G? Ever since I've brought the Note Edge, I feel like it needs alot of enhancements as I absolutely love using custom roms.
My advice is keep wait for more developers . Same here "G"
Same boat as you both , 915G waiting for some good custom rom developers to release their amazing roms
Me too. 915G stock firmware + root + CWM from this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-edge/general/easy-steps-stock-odin-n915tuvu1anjl-sm-t2943993. Installing any softwares on Play Store or apk files are the same, it took 5-10 minutes to complete installed. Boring... Waiting to a custom rom from developer to save me. Now, it is a nightmare...

Hello. I bought a Samsung N915G from Saudi Arabia and has not in setting European languages (German, Roamania ...). Please give me details how to proceed to install another version from European soft (N915FY) on my phone. Thank you in advance.
As we have no Rom's to flash, I decided to try and flash the most recent no carrier firmware from SamMobile. (N915GXXU1ANK4)
I was on the Original Vodafone firmware and I have to say the non-bloat version is much snappier. I needed to factory reset and set everything up again. However now I feel like the phone is performing more like it should with theses specifications.

Hello
I was wondering if the Roms available on SamMobile were really safe and clean? Given they're not working FOR Samsung, where do they get those?
I'm wondering because I noticed there was a link that came with my phone originally that wasn't there when I restored a ROM I took from SamMobile.
Thank you!

I flashed many devices with odin and firmware downloaded from SamMobile.com and i never had any problems with it. The provided firmwares are not modified and seem to be 100% official versions.
No need to worry about sammobile as it is safe and clean.
It is all in one resource for Samsung stock roms. I used so many roms for different models from there and never faced any issues.
Can you please describe which link you got additional ??

Nothing important really but there was a link to my carrier's mobile site and SamMobile listed the ROM with the name of my carrier. So I thought it had been modified. But maybe it's just because it's the same version as the one my carrier offers but doesn't come FROM my carrier?

No it's not official, I read somewhere they were named Samsung Firmware before they had to change to Sam Firmware at Samsung's request (before they were named SamMobile). I can't find where I read this though.

Alright thanks everyone!
Not official, but safe. They make their money by subscription services for "premium" download privileges. Maybe ads too, but I use adblock, so I wouldn't see them.
Yes me too. But I do wonder where they get all those ROM since Samsung doesn't give the out.

Sammobile updates Samsung Galaxy Note 3 N9005 LTE
Hello,
Next newbie here
Could somebody senior please help me? I am wondering about official updates from Samsung for ROMs downloaded from sammobile, are they possible?
I've just installed Kitkat 4.4.2 on my beloved Note 3 after few days of using Darkera's Note 7 ROM when I'm tapping on "Update" in "Software Update" menu I get "Processing failed" message. Overall phone's responsiveness isn't that great, that's why I wanted to see if update is available.
Will appreciate any answers

You can't do stock updates on rooted devices with custom ROMs and custom recovery.
You have to remove root, you also need to have an UNMODIFIED system partition and you need stock recovery.
If you're using a custom ROM(your note 7 ROM is a ported stock custom ROM) then that means you are rooted and probably have custom recovery which means you need to remove root and undo any system modifications that were done in the custom ROM(including any special themes and Xposed) then flash stock recovery instead of custom recovery.
Then you might be able to do the updates but the system will be looking for your device to have straight stock with no modification, if there is any modification left behind then the update won't work.

Hi!
Thank you for your message.
Here is the list of things I did to my poor note 3 :
- rooted
- installed Darkera's note 7 rom, custom recovery and kernel downloaded also from Darkera
- unrooted with supersu
- using Odin3 I installed kitkat 4.4.2 which I downloaded from sammobile (I was told this process gonna whipe away everything - custom rom, custom recovery and kernel)
- downloaded supersu to make sure root is gone
Because of sammobile's server maintenance happening this weekend I used kitkat file I downloaded from sammobile quite some time ago (N9005XXUEND3_N9005XEOEND2_XEO for Poland) and during flashing everything went ok. But now when I go to 'settings' and 'about device' imei, modem version, baseband version are unknown and when I try to hit 'update' I get "processing failed' message. Oh, and I'm also experiencing random reboots. I'm not sure if all this is a normal thing or perhaps I did something wrong.
I hope I didn't bore you to sleep
Hey guys! So I have a few questions about the oneplus one here, I'm checking for a friend and I always had a nexus where matching firmware doesn't really matter much. So here they are.
1) What happens if you have the wrong firmware for a rom? Softbrick? Hardbrick? Nothing at all?
2) For a Nougat rom, what firmware do you use? Since this phone hasn't got an official firmware update for Nougat yet.
3) Is there a special recovery here on XDA that can flash all roms? (there was one for the oneplus two) or is TWRP good for all roms?
What confuses me the most about oneplus devices is how the firmware works different from most Android devices. Thanks guys!

Thanks! So it's not as important as it seems? I notice some roms here on XDA specifically say to have the newest firmware, or a certain version. The rom is still expected to boot? And what's the worst case scenario? A soft brick that can be easily fixed with TWRP or something worse? Thanks for the reply! Like I said, I'm coming from a Nexus 6 where none of this firmware stuff really applies

Yes the rom is a still expected to boot, though, the recommended frimware is to be used so as to avoid any bugs.
However, some roms do require the recommended frimware in order to boot but I don't think even if flash any rom which needs recommended frimware will take you in any kind of brick condition as when you flash a rom on incompatible frimware you'll see error in Twrp,if so happens you just need to have recommended frimware in your storage and flash it then flash the rom again and you'll not face any errors.
Good luck!

1. If you are using TWRP, nothing will happens. Because when you flash a ROM, TWRP will comparing your phone model with build.prop on the targeted ROM. Because based on my experience, somehow i download LineageOS for d802 and flash it to my bacon. TWRP gives an error and didn't flash any firmware. I don't know about CWM or other recovery
2. I'm using Lineage OS. It's pretty good so far. No bug or whatever
3. TWRP is good for all ROM. i think any recovery will do

It has been pull out officially due to bugs.
The tool recommended is working okay and I am grateful for the work, but you cannot lock the bootloader without issues after using it. Therefore I agree with the recommendation of @RAJEEV And would also highly recommend to use either the MiFlash tool or one of the by Xiaomi provided scripts for flashing.

Really, the SM-G550T1/2 really needs Nougat at this point since it is only limited to the India model... I really like the new UI elements. Sad.
Or if someone is really good enough to make a Android Oreo Go edition custom ROM (since it really helps on storage) or a Lineage OS custom ROM. I wish i can make one but I'm not good at making ROM's.:crying:
Edit: I was thinking of installing that same rom OP described. Will it work for my T1? Someone needs to test this before i can proceed. Problem is i don't know if it will brick my phone because it was made for Indian devices running that version.
The current device i have is as follows:
Galaxy On5 SM-G550T1 (T-Mobile)
Currently on 6.0.1
Rooted with Magisk
OEM Unlock set to ON
TWRP
I dont know also, but do i need to have my phone network "unlocked" to switch official samsung roms? I prefer sticking to T-Mobile...
Edit #2: Tried installing that firmware file, it wont let me because of a locked bootloader. I used Odin (latest) but all i get is a "SECURE CHECK FAIL: (BOOTLOADER)" error.
^tl;dr, it wont install on a US variant.

You can use sam frimware tool to download the ROM with no bandwidth cap issues. Search XDA for the tool

Don't try, that's for a specific region.
