Hangs on fastboot oem unlock

If i give the oem unlock and tell it to go ahead it'll freeze to the point i have to unscrew the battery leads to get it going again.
Anyone any idea how to get an unlocked bootloader into it, or get it to unlock?
It runs stock 4.1.2, usb debug set.

So i'll answer my own question in case this may help someone.
I used RDS lite to flash an sbf, rebooted to fastboot, did the fastboot oem unlock and it unlocked.
After which it went into a bootloop, so i reflashed the stock.
so now it's unlocked and rooted.

[HELP] unlocking bootloader problem (PIXEL 3)

so I've been planning to unlock my bootloader but there seems to be a problem, I can't do it even though my command is right. Please help me, I got oem unlocking turned on as well the usb debugging.

you may look at the picture below, when I type "fastboot oem unlock" it fails, I do also type the other command which is the "fastboot flashing unlock" which doesn't do anything, it only gives me different options/command.

The tablet is stock. no custom rom, no root.
do i need to unlock bootloader? also. anyway to disable updates?

rollback protection is your arch enemy now.
updates are not forced if you click later in popup.
lineage custom rom for it will be best.

pixel 3 bootloader gerayedout

I have pixel-3 with last version of android installed , but now the issue is Im unable to enable oem from developer option, it is grayedout and I can unable it. any way out to make it enable so I can enable the bootloader . Please help.

Pleae help me how to solve this issue

This is a carrier version, so bootloader cannot be unlocked and there is no workaround.
I made the same mistake of purchasing the phone from a reseller and ended up with a locked bootloader. What's worse is that the battery has expanded with a few months and the back panel is coming off.
First and last time I ever purchase a phone from a reseller.
