Oppo A53 Refresh Rate bug after ColorOS 11.1 update - General Questions and Answers

Today I updated my OPPO A53 [CPH2127] and everything works just fine.
but after I restart the device, the refresh rate become 60hz even the 90hz option is turned on. The only one thing that rendered at 90hz is lockscreen.
Is there any solution to this problem?

Auto refresh rate manual over-ride?

Hi all,
I was just wondering if there is a way to force certain apps to run at 120 Hz when my phone is set to the ‘Auto Select’ refresh rate. I have had this on since i bought the phone but the Microsoft Launcher will only run at 60fps unless i force the phone to remain at 120 Hz universally, something i don’t wish to have enabled for battery reasons.
Many thanks!
I got this problem too , 120Hz is not real

The display refresh rate is not 120hz

I have a Chinese version of the realme x50 5g and the company said that the phone has 120hz display, but when i tried to check it by downloading many apos from Google Play Store I've found that it is just 90hz.
And if you are owning the phone, you can check it by yourself.
It's 120Hz.(Global Version sold in taiwan)
The flash rate is dynamic from 45Hz to 120 Hz(Most of the time is 45Hz and 90 Hz even when you choose 120 Hz)
I have a Chinese version and have noticed the same, that it's only 90HZ even when 120Hz is selected from the menu!
I don't understand it!
Do you have any other issues, such as not Google Location History or A+Google Assistant not working?

Refresh rate stuck at 60hz

I have just realised that my device, which I have only had for 2 days, is stuck on 60hz refresh rate and I can't manually change it back to 120hz in display settings. When I press on it in display settings it just doesn't do anything - ie it doesn't open the screen with the bouncing balls and the 2 options. Does anyone know how to fix this? It definitely worked before but I got a MIUI update yesterday and I wonder if that has broken it. According to my settings I am running Global 12.0.2 Stable.

App for changing refresh rate (max = 60hz)?

Is there an app for older devices (before the use of 90hz and above in today's phones) that can change the refresh rate from 1hz to 60hz or something like set options like 30hz/45hz/60hz?
Xiaomi mi mix 1
Android 11 custom rom with root
Refresh rate, measured in Hertz (Hz), is how quickly a display can refresh an image. Wondering why you want to narrow down phone's default refresh rate?

Main reason is battery saving. I have also read that upcoming (or already released) oppo phones will have adaptive refresh rate ranging from 1hz to 120hz so I was wondering if there's a way to do that in older devices with root?

Question Adaptive refresh rate is enabled or not ?

Basically it's more than a week I'm using the device and when I enabled "show refresh rate" ( via developer option) , I noticed that the fps is stuck at 60/120 . POCO mentioned that it's an smart display so the adaptive refresh rate must be enabled by default . Isn't it so ? Or am I wrong ?
Is the fps count same for everyone ? I mean the rate is fixed no adaptive refresh rate is present? Pls let me know if there is any option/method to enable adaptive Refresh rate (without unlocking BL )?

When 120 Hz enabled then it goes to 60 (only for YouTube)
I'm generally using it on 60 Hz mode and no drops in refresh rate (never seen 30hz) . I was saying that , will it drop to 1hz when there is no interaction on screen
No to 1hz that only for 865 and up devices

Never goes on 1hz when no interaction. Must be enabled on 60/120hz, and is not enabled for now...
No?
