Please advice before I buy in Canada
I am mostly interested in payment apps, I am confused with different answers everywhere
Will it work with rooted phone? this goes MAINLY for Gpay ( which works on my rooted phone with Magisk ) , but not Spay
How about other apps like Health apps?
anyone?

I have my Samsung Gear 2 paired with my Samsung Galaxy S5 Active and when I go into the app store it only shows around 55 apps. I took it into Best Buy where I bought both and talked with the rep there. His S3 paired with a Gear 2 Neo showed all of the apps. Is there any workaround or fix for this? I've tried uninstalling and re-installing the Galaxy app store and the Gear manager, re-flashing the S5, and factory resetting the Gear 2. Any help you guys can offer would be very appreciated!

Load up a build.prop editor from the play store if your phone is rooted and change the phone model to a G900T which is a regular S5 , there are a few threads out there covering how to do this. For some crazy reason Samsung hasn't figured out that their app store sucks really bad and it's apps will work for Gear 1 and Gear 2 with all versions of the note 2,3's and all versions of their S4/S5's. It seems the store checks to see the exact phone model and if the developer of the apps hasn't listed your exact model, then it won't show. Samsung has become a lost cause. Luckily for us though we have XDA and some work arounds. Good luck.

Okay, so towelroot doesn't currently support the S5 Active, or so it told me when I mashed the "make it ra1n" button. Looking for another rooting option.

I had a rooted oneplus 3T and could not install the gear apps from the playstore. I wont be able to tell you if you can get the apps from playstore if you are un-rooted because i have never tried it.
I did managed to get the gear apps from this thread by xda member j to the 4n

Mine is not rooted and by looking at google play i can download every app samsung has to offer regarding smartwatches
So in that case it'll work?
I would prefer you get the confirmation that it works form someone who is actually using the gear S3 with unrooted oneplus 3T
I had both device by 3 months: Samsung gear s3 classic (not lte) work perfectly with oneplus 3t (not rooted with original factory rom oxygen os by oneplus)
All feature of gear s3 work perfect with no workaround, I follow the istruction on display
So i've never rooted a phone before, all i've done is activate the developeralternative and set 1 on bakground processes cause it's so slow. Still like the phone, don't wanna change.
However now comes the question. A lot of important apps like bank apps and such says my android version will not work anymore in the latest update.
Will the android version "get upgraded" if i root the phone? Sorry for being completely stupid.
I saw before lots of different download packages for S2 plus but i have no clue what to get, i have the samsung galaxy s2 plus 19105 version.

I'm from the US and I bought my sm-n770f/ds on ebay. When setting up my phone, Samsung Pay came preloaded on my device and works flawlessly for me personally. However, I'm reading reports of note 10 lite devices not having Samsung Pay pre-installed at all, with the phone reporting that it's not supported by Samsung Pay when trying to install it after the fact.
Did your device come with it pre-installed? Are you able to use it? I'd like to get to the bottom of why some of these devices just don't have it.

I use it in Central America and the samsung pay does not work, I download it separately and it gives me an error

I'm very unhappy with my GW4 since it has huge issues with notifications.
Samsung only instructed me to update everything to the latest versions, clear the Bluetooth cache, factory reset the watch, the phone, etc. It didn't help at all.
I feel the vibration of the notification but before I can even turn my wrist to see the screen, the text disappears and the screen turns black. I bought an app to keep the screen awake for a few seconds more but it drains both my watch and phone batteries like hell.
Because of this,I switched back to my old Galaxy watch, running Tizen. The battery lasts 2 extra days on GW Tizen and it doesn't miss any notifications.
I'm afraid to buy the new GW5. If it works the same I'd rather switch to Apple.
Anyway...
My question is if there's a way to install Tizen on Galaxy Watch 4.
I searched the forums but I didn't find anything on this.
