Question FM Radio for Custom ROM - Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro

Hi! I already brought Poco X3 Pro few weeks ago and I decided to install custom ROM for Poco X3 pro.
But my problem is will I lost some features like FM Radio in custom ROM after I flash it from original stock ROM (I'm using latest MIUI 12.5).
Because I doesn't like some ads and bloatware from MIUI for some reason when everytime I install any apps from Play Store will pop out some ads in full screen after install the app and also stock music player that contains ads while listening to any music.
Sometimes there is a cool thing that I need FM radio for quite sometime and it's useful for some person like me.
Also, the custom ROM that I planned to flash is dotOS (droid on time OS) in near future. Possibly in the next few days, weeks or months from the time I posted here.
So, does dotOS custom ROM have FM radio or do I need to install separately or I need to install specific custom ROM to have FM radio features?
Thanks in advance for those who can give some information.

The custom roms have fm radio. You won't loose it.

Alright! Thanks! I did planned to do by next week onwards because I have to wait about at least 168 hours to be able to unlock bootloader and install custom recovery (TWRP or any custom recovery) and install custom ROM. Just excluding root my phone because of I don't want some of my games (eg: Genshin Impact) detected and banned my account.

[Q] Official MIUI or custom MIUI (ie WIUI)?

Hey guys,
I have flashed an ICS ROM 3 days ago, but it doesn't really work that well it was my first custom ROM I flashed in my life
But I decided to try MIUI. So I found this guy called Wajk, and he made this ROM called WIUI. My question to you guys is, can I expect the same (or even better) of a custom MIUI ROM as an official one? And even more important: Will I get the weekly updates?
Maybe some of you have had expierences with custom MIUI ROMs, should I choose the official MIUI ROM or a custom one?
Thanks guys!
P.S. Hope I'm doing this right, first time here on XDA for a long time
You'll get weekly updates if the developer updates his/hers rom every week, and you flash it again every time. But this is unlikely.
I'm myself using a custom MIUI rom, and I love it. Only problems are the built-in screenshot app doesn't work, and the Extended Settings app works neither.
Anyways, it is worth at least trying. Frankly, I think this is the best rom for my phone. All kinds of themes and lockscreens work.

Should I change ROM?

So, I have Samsung Note 2 N7100 and LineageOS custom rom by tilaksidduram.
The Rom doesn't have big problems (sometimes camera doesn't work,or sometimes videos and music freeze until I restart), but it's kinda old and last update was 2017.
The question is should I switch to new Crdroid custom rom?

That's your choice, read thread and check out the reviews, if it's good enough then switch Rom, otherwise stick with the LineageOS.

rooting and best updated roms available now ?

hi
i bought mi mix 3 last year and i think its time to play around with phone
can someone outline the step i should from unlocking the boot loader to installing a new ROM (i have limited knowledge of this but i did root my previous phones) ??
whats the latest magisk version for mi mix 3 and updated links or post i can follow ?
anyone have tried a good ROM with good battery life and performance with good stability ?
my current build i am on is stock 11.0.4.0(PEEMIXM) stable
Unfortunately if you want custom android 10 non miui roms like lineage or etc. They have bugs and currently developers stop developing for them, but if you are ok with xiaomi(miui) roms and you just need to access latest features or more light weight roms you can try xiaomi.eu roms. But first you need to unlock your bootloader which will take about 7days(168 hours) then you can try above said roms.

Custom Rom

Hello everyone. Hope youre enjoying ur day. I have a poco x3 nfc (bought in the UK). I would like to install custom roms on it. After updating to android 11 I have faced some bugs on miui . 2) Can anyone give me the links to working custom recovery and stock rom?
3) is magisk still a thing? (lol) Havent been experimenting with this in a long time
Thanks in advance. Cheers

1) There's a Magisk module for that
2) You'll find a working recovery, ROMs etc in the forum
3) See #1. I use ANX Camera (MIUI cam for custom ROMs), a call recording module, systemless hosts for adblocking and a OnePlus font). Other people use sound enhancement modules etc

Question Stock or Custom Rom?

Hello Members.
Im new in this Forum. My Name is Danny From Germany and i got a Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro in new for only 199$. After 2 Weeks of using, i really dont like the Xiaomi Stock Rom. It is full of bloatware and crappy ad´s. I followed some instructions and deactivated some of the Ads, but i still get some of them.
I already unlocked the bootloader 1 week ago, because i wanna install a Custom Rom and get rid of that data stealing nonsense crap of Xiaomi. But now im at a point, where i dont wanna make a mistake. My last time flashing is like 10 years ago on my Xperia Play.
I followed the Unlock instruction of this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...11-0-rom-and-root-xiaomi-poco-x3-pro.4267623/
I stopped at 2. Because i have seen, there is now Android 12, that orangefox doesnt work for OTA Updates and i dont get the part how to downgrade from MIUI Global 12.5.4.0 Stable. Or is there maybe a way that i can flash now directly without downgrading?
Could someone pls help me with the decision which custom rom is the right one for me and help me with downgrade it? I read the instruction theme complete, but the last comments were written a long time ago.
The most important things for me are battery life with a good performance and the decision which Apps i want. I would love to have the Playstore and Google Maps, but not the other google apps.
My Poco X3 pro is running AICP 16.1 (Custom ROM) and its working fine with Orangefox (R11.1_0 Stable). and OTAs (every friday) ... as i understand it, there is not spoken of Android 12 but of MUI12, what makes a difference
Thx for the answer. Do i Need to Downgrade MIUI or can i Just flash the Rom? How about Banking? This Phone is gonna be my Daily.

Banking apps working fine with magisk hide.
POCO x3 pro is great with custom roms.
Am using spark os and it's working fine for me.
The only thing you may miss is the xiaomi cmera app, but there is alot of alternatives.
Ich hoffe, dass ich dir geholfen habe.
I was in the same situation as you, it's my first Xiaomi, I advise you to flash a pixel experience rom, you'll feel like you've got a new phone, I flashed pixelextended

Banking apps work fine without Magisk or Magisk Hide. Root is not needed unless you want it for something else.
CrDroid 7/8 are working very well too.
Stable and banking apps are working (inkl. german DKB TAN2GO) !
MIUI CAM is included
Absolutely Custom ROM.
I use OrangeFox recovery on android 12, and no problem here for OTA or storage in recovery mode.
I'm using Latest CrDroid 8.1, just follow the instructions there, and you're good.
Magisk 24 is now working on Android 12 if I'm not mistaken, or you can use the Alpha one.
So far this is the best one for daily use, gaming, and other stuff for me.
Cheers

1- right now no custom recovery can decrypt internal storage, so no OTA update works (only manual via adb sideload in custom recovery)
2- you don't need to downgrade del 12.5.4.0 (that was the latest stable update when op publish his work)
3-twrp (3.6.0_11) is now a stable recovery for vayu.
4- arrow os 12 work great with out root (well, at least my banking apps), but if you need root, there is magisk hide or zygisk...
5- you can flash Vanilla version of custom roms +open gapps pico to have "google playstore" and then install only what you need.
6- battery life is always up to you and your use... there is no magical kernel to give out 87 hours of screen on time...

You can use dfe to keep dencrypt or move files to sdcard\usbotg to flash. If you have a compuer you can also use adb sideload. AOSP recovery should be able to install OTA update. Just flash the .img file in twrp\ofox to recovery partition.
Thanks i will try it tomorrow and give a Feedback.
How warm does your devices get? Mine gets very warm when charging it and even when im using it, it goes Up to 38,5 degrees. Is that normal??

Fast charge will heat up the phone.
Your room temperature will also need to be considered.
Wifi, LTE and video playing/moving gif will heat up the phone as well.
Follow this guide to update ROMs:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/4288121/post-85137963
Note that the dirty flash update of ROM in the tutorial only works with Android 11.
All custom recoveries cannot decrypt Android 12 at the moment, so you cannot see internal storage with custom recoveries on any encrypted Android 12 yet.

If you use it while charging it might even go a little higher.
