Hi,
Really need your help, after I updated my firmware using Odin, updated BL, AP, CP, CSC, my tab cannot boot up stuck in logo. Doing the Power + volume up leads me to different screen now.
What must I do? Pleasssee help. Added the pic, after doing hard reset (power + vol up)
I cannot connect back to Odin also. Always setup connection failed.
Please help. I really messed up big time :'(
Thank you all in advance.

Hi, can this be repaired by service center?
If warranty still here, they should repair for you, although most likely they will go ahead and replace the motherboard.

Oh my bad.. it is not under warranty anymore, this will cost me a lot right? Is there any chance of connecting back to download mode? I cannot access it anymore, it will show connect to PC only but Odin cannot setup connection though it is added successfully.
Thanks.
have you download the updated odin?
Try with latest Odin, patched Odin, or even running Heimdall(google 'Heimdall samsung') in an Linux virtualbox.
There is a procedure involving complete shut down, then holding certain buttons and somehow (with your fifth hand) connecting cable between device and PC. Probably with Odin already running on PC.
I'm sorry, I don't remember where I saw it described. I think I used it on my SM-T290, so start by checking the T290 and T295 threads.

I don't know what the options on your new recovery screen are. (Do you know what "RDX" is?) I can't read the first stack of options.
The tricky procedure I am trying to remember had to do with triggering download mode, and getting Odin to connect. Try to find a more reliable description of the procedure, it will probably include an explanation of what problem it is trying to solve.

Well not long before I saw someone enter this ss rdx mode. Maybe it is some sort of crashdump mode or something. Let the battery drain down and try to boot up again.

connect cable between tablet and PC
I'm hoping that option

Hello,
I tried to update my note 10.1 gt-8000 today using the instructions from droid opinion website. I did not remove any partition or stuff. Just uploaded the rom Image in AP, selected auto reboot and F reset time and this i. but when the phone went to restart, it wont start again. Its been 30 minutes and phone is still off. I press the power button, volume + power up or down but nothing happens. Is my tablet hard bricked? Any idea whats wrong with it? Please help me
Edit: I just noticed when I also put it on the charge, the screen doesnt turn on to show charging. So it doesnt even charge, the odin console had 1 pass and 0 fail. Any idea what went wrong?
Go back to Droid opinion they are responsible .

Thanks for your reply. So it means its hard bricked? When i plug in the charger it dont even show charging sign. Any way to fix it?
Does Odin work? If it works, try to re-flash your device according to the instructions. Otherwise, install the stock firmware.

Sure, I can help you.
What OS do you have? Try to install Fastboot and ADB tools. After that, enter in download mode (not recovery!) and connect your device with computer.
ADB Devices will test the connection.
Next use Fastboot to flash.
If you have questions, pleask ask them. It will protect you from wrong actions.

I got mine working by opening the back cover (check instruction from Youtube)
unplug the power plug (the black small block in the middle with Red/Blue/Black colour cables), leave it for few minutes, plug it black.
This will only work if you have the "Samsung Note 10.1 logo" flashing in loop on screen all the time.
Good luck
Hi Guys,
So the story is that I was updating my Xperia Z3 (details below) from TWRP 2.8.6 to 'twrp-3.0.2-0-yuga' using the instructions androidnewsbox.com/2016/02/08/how-to-install-and-update-to-twrp-3-0-0 and after flashing the new TWRP the phone can no longer enter recovery mode and I get no other booting/loading screens.
I had 100% battery when I started the process.
It does still do the little vibrate thing when I hold down the power button but nothing happens after that.
When I plug it into the PC the LED flashes red, then green then goes off.
Reading the instructions twrp.me/devices/sonyxperiaz.html I did use the 'install' function not the 'recovery' function. Is that likely to be the mistake I made? If so is there any way to recover?
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Use flashtool to reflash a new system image (ftf). You're using stock so probably your kernel doesn't support FOTA-Kernel partition flashing.
Great to hear back from someone.
Unfortunately I don't think that I can just flash a new ftf using flashtool as I cant get into fastboot mode.
I have been working through the following online tutorial
engineerthink.com/blog/2015/11/how-to-unbrick-hard-bricked-android-phone/
I have installed the USB drivers on my PC from here
androidmtk.com/download-sony-xperia-usb-driver
And i can get the ftf file from here (mine is 1288-6090)
xpericheck.com/device/D6653
Unfortunately I am unable to put the phone into fastboot mode by holding down the power and down buttons. Nothing happens.
The tutorial above also tells me "If phone not going to Fastboot mode than connect it to PC by USB. Hold Volume Up and Power button until you get company logo or backlight."
This also does nothing and I get no backlight or company logo.
FYI if it helps about a year ago I rooted my phone using a tutorial very similar to this
oneandroid.gs/root-xperia-z3/
I will keep working on the problem and post any updates as they come up.

First hard shut down your phone by using combo, after that, download the ftf for your phone (1288-6090 is the customization, what you need is an ftf that its compatible with your phone model, download flash tools, install the drivers that come with it, and using xperifirm (Included in flashtools) you download the firmware) After you have all settled up, proceed to flash your phone, select firmware and then it'll ask you to connect your phone in flash mode not fastboot mode, you can do that by pressing vol up + power (press them and while pressing them connect the usb to the pc). Then the flashing process will start. You can find many tutorials around here in xda. Do not use external tutorials, go find stuff here. It's way more reliable as many are made just for your phone.
Hi and thanks again.
This gives me plenty to learn about and go forward with thanks heaps.
I will give this process a go later today but I have a few questions if you dont mind.

Yes that one, If you press it enough (about 5-10 secs) the phone will shutdown and It wont try to restart. This is what you need first.

No, only when connecting the phone to start flashing the system software, you will see a green light in the notification led that will then shut off and flashing process will start.

This is a great almost-up-to-date guide http://www.xperiablog.net/2015/03/1...peria-lollipop-using-xperifirm-and-flashtool/
XperiFirm is included in flashtools now so you don't have to download it, but to get your firmware you have to do the same steps but opening xperifirm from inside flashtool.
You can download flashtool here http://www.flashtool.net/downloads.php
Seems to be a success!
Thanks heaps for all your great assistance.

Not sure if this is worth mentioning but this thread is 2 years old.
Yes I did get everything working, xkeita was a great help and the guide he sent me was useful.
Have you got issues yourself?
So, today my dad bought me a new phone because i needed one, an S10e. And i, like a massive idiot, decided to flash it with TWRP to try and root it. It worked, sort of, TWRP recovery worked fine, but the phone was in a boot loop when it wasnt in recovery. So i decided to flash the stock firmware, only that it got stuck on the System part when i flashed it with Odin, so i had the brilliant idea to disconnect and try again, except i ended up bricking the entire download mode. I cant turn off my phone, nor can i go into recovery mode, everytime i try to turn off the phone, it boots up back into the download mode with the Smart Switch error, no warnings, no cancels, nothing. Just the error screen. Now if i try to flash it again with Odin on the error screen, it gets stuck on Boot.
Am i royally ****ed to the point where i cant send it to the store? I got it today so i thought i could take it back to where i bought the phone for a replacement or repair, but if not then i honestly dont know what to do. I tried using Kies or Smart Switch for restoration, but they dont even recognise it.
Ooohh...So sorry. Im going to look around for some help for you.
I used to do this but havent the need in years with the new technologies.
Better to ask over at the Magisk root thread in the regular S10 forum.
You can call Samsung and if its under warranty they can walk you through or do it while connected to your computer.

just take out the usb cable and hold power + bixby+ vol down to force reboot then just hold bixy and vol down and plug the cable then you are back into download mode and restore your phone. It's not messed up
Search on youtube s9 download mode.

Thats the thing, if i hold vol down and power for the 7 secs to get out of download mode, it automatically boots itself back into download mode without any "press vol up to continue" and stuff, its just the constant "an error has occured while updating system software" screen and absolutly nothing else, and like i said, i tried to reflash all the firmware back to stock, but odin just stops at Boot, and a message appears on the error screen saying a PIT check failed (thinking about it, i could just be that i downloaded the wrong firmware, i dont actually know what country the phone was made in, and if it helps, i bought it in Lithuania, and i unlocked it with a Lithuanian SIM card, so im not sure what country firmware i should get. One strange thing: i remember looking at the display case at the salon i bought the phone at, and it said that the phone has the Snapdragon CPU chipset, but if that was true then i wouldnt be able to have unlocked my bootloader for Odin in the first place)

Use smart switch, please follow the instructions in this video
You need IMEI and Serial number which can be found on the box of your phone or it will be embedded in the back glass
I believe on the newer version of smart switch you have to enable device Initialization from the preferences tab

yes, i have, and again, nothing happens, it just instantly goes straight to the error you get when you **** up an odin flash in the middle of its work
This is so odd. Ideally a picture of the error screen would really help here. It's usually pretty darn difficult to brick a Samsung phone.
Have you tried using a different USB cable and PC to do the Odin flash?

Hey guys,
I just bought the Samsung J4+ (SM-J415F) and now have a dead phone after flashing a firmware. It doesnt turn on. I cannot put it into recovery mode. The screen is always black. This is the order of events:
1. I succesfully flashed twrp + supersu (i followed the steps from this page: https://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...j415f-t3876876)
2. After doing that i had a bootloop.
3. I decided to flash the following rom to get rid of the bootloop: [up_vnROM.net]_J415FXXU1ARIK_J415FOJM1ARIK_EGY_8.1_FULL (https://www.firm-ware.com/2018/10/sa...-download.html)
4. This also worked successfully and i saw the android symbol for a few seconds. However, then the power went off. Now the phone is dead.
It seems like i can turn it on to download mode (screen still black tho) and connect it to odin (odin is recognizing the phone) but if i try to flash again it stucks on "setup connection". I am using odin 3.13.1. Yes I already tried to run odin as administrator but it didnt change anything.
Any ideas how to bring my phone back to life? Any help would be appreciated.

This will happen if your cable is not connected to both PC and device.
The device needs to detect it is connected to a PC.
I suggest changing the cable.
Secondly you can try booting to Recovery mode. (with cable out)
As soon as you see that flash hold POWER + VOL UP only until you see recovery mode.

Hello, please help. I have a big problem.
I just flashed custom ROM and the installation was successful. When I restarted the phone, it stopped at the "Samsung Galaxy" logo and did not complete and then restarted automatically in this case. I tried to enter twrp, but to no avail. I also tried Entering the download mode, but also it does not work
I hope that someone will help me, and is this how the phone was damaged, or is there hope to recover it?
Try holding power and volume down for over 20 seconds, after the phone reboot keep holding those keys and hope you get into download mode

Unfortunately not, I even tried to enter it into download mode by pressing the volume up and down buttons and then connecting the USB, and it did not work, so I think it may need a board

Can you disassemble the phone and remove the battery and reconnect it again and try to put it into download mode?

Honestly, no, I haven't tried jaw before But I waited until the battery ran out and tried again to insert the download, but it didn't work either,,, I have a question I first formatted and then installed the ROM, then it succeeded, but after the word “installation was successful” there were words in red “failed mount system root” Then I flashed the rest of the ROM files, then I thought it was over, so I restarted, but it stopped at the "samsung galay - secured by Knox" logo. It does not continue and then restarts itself in this case and does not stop until the battery runs out and stops then I tried to enter the recovery but to no avail and also the same thing with the download mode,, summarizing all this does the phone need a motherboard, or that the matter can be solved?

It can be solved. It doesn't need a motherboard.
Try Chimera tool. It can fix dead boot. You may need to short test point of your phone so that the software recognises your phone.

I really appreciate your help, but can you tell me how to use it? I will do this later because I am busy during this period
