I have OEM unlocked and a unlocked bootloader. Kingroot fails right out of the box as well as Kingoroot. I am on the carrier unlocked pixel 4a and know how to root magisk with pc. How can I root pixel 4a without pc and otg method?
Well bad news for you one click root apps doesn't work. They only work on phones with android version ranging from android 4.0 to android 6.0. On android 7 Google patched that exploit that the one click root apps uses, so those apps doesn't work now. Your PC is broken?
No I'm saying I can root with magisk and pc but sometimes I don't feel like using pc. Was asking if there were any other methods if I don't feel like having a computer ready
I use my own personal computer no one else's so I don't feel guilty if I accidently download a virus.
Well apologies but the good old days while you can root and flash a custom ROM completely on your phone (with a SD card) are gone for good. A computer is necessary.

You need a USB C to USB C cable. And a rooted phone with the Magisk adb & fastboot module, and termux installed. That's it. I've unlocked and rooted the Moto E (2020), Moto G Fast, Moto G7 Play, and Pixel 4a with this method. Just open termux and type in SU then fastboot commands will work exactly the same as they do on a PC.
Edit: Forgot to mention, you can also flash stock firmware with this. You can run the flash-all.sh scripts provided by Google. Just extract & copy everything in the zip to /data/local/tmp, set permissions to 0744, and everything will work properly. The magisk adb module also works with fasbootd too.

Hi! I'm not well informed on your device, however i hope my little experience will help you
as to my know, there are different ways to root a handset, and not all of the approaches work with all the devices. I rooted my device (motorola xt720) using Superoneclick. It's a program you can easily download on your pc (i'm not allowed to post links, so i'll leave you the struggle to copy its name in the Google bar and download it from one of the first website that published it ), it doesn't require installation, you just have to select Debug USB from Settings-apps-development (this is the path in my device, at least), connect your device to your pc by a USB cable, open Superoneclick and click on root...and if your device is similar to mine, after a few seconds you should be rooted! That's the procedure I applied on my handset, but i don't know if it's possible also on yours. Let me know something!
I'm looking for a root program for Xiaomi Mi Max 2.
A one click root program - root script, or whatever they're called.
Not Kingroot though. I've tried Kingroot on an LG G3, it worked but when I uninstalled it the root was gone with it and I had to do it all over again.
Some guy Avicohh did a root script for the LG G3 and it worked perfectly.
I'm looking for a similar root script for Mi Max 2 but I keep finding some pretty complicated methods that require removing my bootloader first (I don't know what that is), flashing ROMS, TWRP (I also don't know what that is), active internet connection, etc.
And of course others recommend using Kingroot and another program called One Click Root which I have to buy in order to use it.
Any idea if there is something easier out there? Just those 3-4 steps (connect cable, debugger mode) and after 2-3 restarts to have it rooted?
Hi,
My situation: I cannot find working TRWP version for Samsung Galaxy A6+.
I need to to root the phone and then via ADB sim unlock him.
I thought about the option of using "oneclickroot" PC software.
However I'm not sure if this is some kind of cheap malicious PC software/scam?
Please pay attention that considerations like "oneclickroot will brick your phone" not relevant for me:
While searching for TRWP version for the phone, I already flashed dozens of TRWP (and also directly SU) versions, while some of them explicitly not for my phone model.
So I kind of don't afraid from those kind of thinks.
Just want to make sure oneclickroot PC SW won't install malwares on my PC...
Thanks,
XDA reviewed the service in 2016. Sry, I can't post a link because of the 10-posts rule.

Seems like your bootloader is locked, i recommend magisk patched boot image method then when you get root you flash twrp, after that you can delete/retain magisk but do not restore the stock boot image.
Hiee Guys ! I have used lots of android phones since 10 years and also familiar with them . I always try to root every phone but a problem is that every android phone cannot be rooted . So, please anyone tell me that how i can make root for any device and how i can make twrp for any device .
Thank You in Advance......
As far as compiling TWRP, you can start with this thread. Any device such as pixels upgraded to A10 don't have TWRP so because recovery has changed drastically and development of TWRP had not yet caught up.
Root is available for any device that is rootable. Magisk does a pretty good job of covering the bases and is under active development so properly reported issues are generally addressed.
Finding an exploit to be able to root a device is a different matter. Some, like pixels, are straightforward to root since if bought from Google (not a carrier directly) they have unlockable bootloaders allowing the installation of non-stock images. On a device that does not allow the bootloader to be unlocked, an exploit to achieve root must be found. That is often the issue combined with many of these devices do not attract developers to purchase them and thus no attempts are made.

If the device is a device that has a locked bootloader that can not be unlocked, you will not be able to use TWRP. These devices can only be rooted if there is a rooting app or rooting program available for PC or android that has an exploit that works on the device.
If the bootloader is locked, you won't be able to install TWRP or use TWRP to root the device and you will not be able to flash a Magisk patched boot.img to achieve root.
If there are no exploits available that are proven to work on the device, you won't be able to root the device.

Hi. I accidently updated my J3 to android 9 and since then, the phone works like my old Samsung S4 mini. Everything is lagging, in short phone is just unusable. I know that trying to downgrade via odin you get anti rollback protection because of the bootloader so is there any other way how to downgrade it to older version? I don't care if it's easy or hard way, i just want to make this phone usable. Maybe flashing older rom with keeping new bootloader? I heard someone did that once to A7 2018 but never published this rom.
I downgraded my SM-J330F (with unlocked bootloader) from Pie (9) to Nougat (7) using Odin.
To unlock the bootloader on a J3 is very easy. Go to Developer Options and activate OEM unlocking. That's it.
If it's somehow missing, use this:
