Question Best rom for Poco X3 pro - Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro

I would like to ask, what do you think is the best rom? I tried ArrowOS, but it occurred to me that the percentage of the battery was dropping faster and at 60hz the phone was not completely smooth. What do you think is the best rom for performance?

Honestly, I installed Pixel Plus UI and never looked back. It is very smooth, fast and fluid with fantastic battery life and no bugs (so far). The only things I did to improve it was to add a different Gcam and config and to root and install the ZTE2019 Axon pro Dolby Atmos Port (which works wonders for the loudness and clarity of the speakers).
*EDIT* The Razer Phone 2 Dolby Atmos Port is even better than the ZTE one for this phone. Highly recommended.

I can't share the link as I believe it is against the forum rules. However, I can tell you what to search for on google. The developer's name is Rei Ryuki and he has several ports on his github.
HOWEVER. I have tried them all and I have changed my mind. The ZTE Axon port is not the best one for this phone. Rather, the Razer Phone 2 Dolby Atmos port (v 4.1) is the best. Fanstastic sound quality, with a fully functioning UI and equalizer and dolby atmos even appears as a QS tile.

Actually, it spoofs phone into Razer. Does this break Google photos unlimited backup?

I only tried CrDroid, with the stock Vendor i´m currently happy, but has some little bugs here and there. Tryed lso OSS and contains a lot of bugs. Most of the ROMs has the same important bugs.
If i have to choose one, will be CrDroid.

[MOD] Note 4 Surround Sound

Saw this neat little trick on the Portal for the Note Edge to utilize the front-facing speaker as a media outputter. Tested on my Sprint Note 4 and it works great, so I figured I'd post it here. Just flash and enjoy.
I TAKE NO CREDIT FOR THIS MOD OR IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO YOUR PHONE.
Original thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-edge/development/mod-sm-915t-surround-sound-t2955648

I flashed it and it sounds better ????
Which one did you flash for note 4 on sprint
Yes n4
Guys, I took a look at this and the file does have a lot of differences comparing return to stock to Sprint stock. I took a swing at the port with the medium volume increase to 87.
Try it and tweak it you like. Share the results here if you think it's an improvement. Credit to the developer linked in OP.
I just copied both return to stock and medium volume increase with surround and compared return to stock to Sprint stock before porting the changes. Tested on YouTube and Pandora stream. No unexpected volume through front speaker when headphones plugged-in.
Sounds like the front speaker could use a little boost to me. YMMV.
Note 4_med_mixer_paths.xml [copy to /system/etc/mixer_paths.xml and set permissions to root, root, rw,r,r (0,0 0644). Reboot]
Sprint_Note 4_med_Test_Surround.zip
Note 4_loud_mixer_paths.xml
Sprint_Note 4_loud_Test_Surround.zip
Edit: I see the OP in original thread is porting to all requested devices soon. Consider this a test for those that want to try. Use at own risk. Volume warning is still in place AFAIK; be safe.

Sorry, late for me when I read this the first time. I thought you were requesting a zip to flash.
Reading the original OP's thread, one poster described a situation where a caller could not hear the user using this mod on a different phone. It was warned that using different mixers could induce unexpected results.
The differences I noted that I can recall were the microphones and fm radio. The original mod was for T-Mobile Note 4 Edge. So beware, you'd have to test a wide variety of calling and recording scenarios to say the modification works for a different model. The OP understood that and was requesting users interested to share their mixer xml with him to properly port to avoid dysfunction across all uses of the speakers and microphones. Using the wrong modified mixer, you may find some loss of functionality at some point. Test calling on all the radios and Wi-Fi, with and without loudspeaker and also with and without headphones to check for full compatibility. Audi test the recording features including in-call recording of both sides of the conversation.
If you prefer the loud, the mod is two in one, I believe. It wouldn't be that difficult to modify the medium to loud. Or wait until the original OP ports his work to all requested mixers across carriers and phones. I may try the loud mod later when I have more time.
Hope that better answers your question.

I've uploaded loud test xml and zip and placed the links in post #5 of this thread.
If you're still using the mod from the T-Mobile Note 4 Edge with no issues that's good to hear but I somewhat doubt that all possible scenarios are working as intended.
To elaborate on what I said before, there are some paths that called by different names and one that totally removes all the variables in a T-Mobile path when comparing the two original files. Hey, the original surround mod in loud configuration may actually sound better; I may have missed something. To anyone concerned as myself, I'd recommend this test version until the original OP ports directly to our device. Loud was the original T-Mobile Note 4 Edge release as tested and fixed for the audio issue resolved so maybe it's more ideal for our device.
I'd also like to know if there are sound quality issues or differences comparing the two so try if you like. Hoping it's the same mod but fully compatible. I've linked this to the original OP so feedback may be helpful to someone. Thanks and don't forget to thank the developer in original thread.

This DualSound / Dual Speaker Mod is not at all required on the S9+.
The sound as it is outta the box is quite amazing.
For those who had trouble enabling it, Make sure Dolby Atmos is enabled from the Notification Bar.
Additionally, this thread topic implies there is root for snapdragon S9/S9+ variants. There isn't (yet, anyway).

It's possible to increase it, I I only put 3dB gain for the Dual-Speaker and 4dB for the headphones as well...
It can be increased further but doing so won't allow you to use any other SoundMods, these values are considered Mid-level increase...
Thank you for your vote...
Mod works great guys

That is True,
However my SoundMod have 2 purposes, to enable DualSpeaker (which is already enabled) and boost the volume (which is not there)...
Thus, renaming the thread to Volume Gain MOD...
Also because the description says Snapdragon. Which it's not. So that's probably another reason the thread was downloaded.

I get that, and that's awesome. But based on the title one would assume It works right now on the Snapdragon. And I'm excited to try it once we do have root. But it's a tad misleading

But I stated in the thread snapdragon is coming soon and that I am aware snapdragon doesn't have root...
I kept it in the title so snapdragon owners wouldn't think only exynos can have SoundMod...
After all, I planned on pre-releasing the SoundMod for both and got 1 star, when exynos got root and tested my MOD, they rated my thread which got me a bit up to almost 3 stars, I'm sure when snapdragon gets root and try my MOD they'd do the same and the thread gets higher than 4 stars...

Good Equalizer

Hi
Can anyone please recommend a good global equaliser app for the U11+?
I used to use Viper4Audio but as this is only for rooted phones it is hard finding a replacement that works as well on the U11+.
Thanks
Aussie
I literally embarked on a search for one today. I just got this device and already miss my old one which had a system-wide EQ. Here's the one I tried that worked. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.devdnua.equalizer.free
I do get a notification prompt that the app is running in the background and that leaves me worried about battery drain. I shall keep searching until I find an almost perfect one or until a custom ROM with Dolby ATMOS gets released.

Thank you. Yes I agree. HTC releases a phone with quality audio DAC but no system-wide/global EQ.
V4A is ideal but only works on rooted phones with permissive kernel, so for now we are left searching.

Hi I tried that app but as soon as I put the higher frequencies up the volume decreased and it changed the dynamics of the sound a fair bit. Same with the bass.
There ust be compatability factors with some devices that have enhanced (preset) EQ.
Cheers

About viper i don't know if it's good for our device. It only has 48khz drives. You are right though. I miss Viper sound... HTC must give us in a future update(...)a system equalizer

[ROM] AospExtended v4.6

Hi i found this in 4pda forum. I haven't tried it.
https://cloud.mail.ru/public/AGLC/eABvrHGV8
If there will be someone who can try this let us now how it is going.
I tried it. I had been using this rom for a couple of months before I moved to the official B15. I would say that this version of AOSPExtended 4.6 (developed by NFound) is quite smooth and energy efficient - just slightly less energy efficient than B15. And it seemed to have no bugs at all. By the way, it also has in-built aptX support.

The author of that post meant that he decided not to use AEX and quit, because he had experienced problems with the sound from the phone speakers when using Dolby Atmos.
I think the solution is to find proper dolby atmos. I used that from Magisk repository.

Hi there! I'm just sharing this Gcam version I accidentally bumped into on the port hub. This means I cannot provide any support or bugfix.
Tested and almost every aspect of it works except for slow motion and photo sphere.
Tested and working:
Front:Selfie:✓ normal shot✓ normal shot✓ normal video✓ normal video✓ night sight✓ night sight✓ portrait shot✓ portrait shot✓ lens blur✓ lens blur✓ time lapse
✓ panorama
✓ photo sphere
Definitely not working:
✕ Slow motion
The picture quality pretty good but there is no 48 mp. I'd say 12 just like on the Pixel phones.
16:9 ratio resolution is: 2160x3840
4:3 ratio resolution is: 3000x4000

Enabled by default. At least for me. Right now I'm stuck in a faulty twrp reacovery. Can't say a thing for sure.
Omg. On 8-10-2019, i posted the working version file name for gcam on another post, and you say you bumped on it after posting 'thanks it works' on that post. At least you could have deleted you post on that thread..

What? I was kind of frustrated how only 6.1 Gcam works on our new device so I was downloading all sorts of gcam versions from the gcam port hub. Before this one worked, I installed 12 gcam versions of Gcam 7+ and none of them worked. For 13th try this one worked. This has nothing to do with your post or whatever.
Ctc. Then why did u post thanks it works.
You know what, just leave it. These things are just discoveries which no one else should take credit of other than the developer. Huge shot out to the one who created it. Over and out with you.

Because that one worked? That's why I thanked. Still nevertheless I was disappointed how we only get 6.1 gcam while there are 7+ gcams out there so I started downloading 7+ gcam versions hoping one of them will work. I'm really in love with up to date stuff. So as I said I really stumbled upon this version and nothing it has to do with your share. Only that the version you shared was too incomplete for me and made me want a newer version. That's why I found this 7+ verison because the 6+ version didn't satisfy me. Why should I have mentioned your posts while your post barely had anything to do with me finding this working 7+ verison? It's not like you made that Gcam verison or I made this one. These are just shares and we share them so others will be able to use their camera to their fullest. It's not like I stole from you or anyone, or I took credits for anything.

What does that mean?
Since you are asking questions and me being an Arian, I won't stop until my point is cleared.
My post from the other thread was quoted by "johnbrittoj".

Search and download gcam 7 for realme 5 pro.
Seems almost everything working except slomo. Stickers and lens works like a charm.
johnbrittoj says: There are both """""no fix""""" buff and normal one, which one to download
myself said: I have not tried nofix, so the other one to be precise. {I already had both versions downloaded but i thought this one works fine}
Then next post by you saying: Thanks. It works!
Then in this thread you say ( I accidentally bumped into "on the port hub"). You mean to say you didn't see that post just above your's clearly stating nofix version.
If you had not put that "accident ... hub." thing, I wouldn't have bothered to even question you.
I am also a tech geek, for the past 20 years i have been using mobiles. I have ported roms and even twrp for my earlier phones. I have been tinkering with camera apps like Hell and even listed a long list of camera apps in lenovo threads.
Just be genuine that's my rule.
I have to dig in the internet now to find new stuff . No more Q&A.
Note: By the way that picture is a snapshot of the gcam version I downloaded and the date is visible there from my PC.

Oh, sorry. I mistook you for someone else.
This was the only post that I saw about gcam for the device. I thought you were the OP of that thread. I didn't ever see your post with 7+ gcam. If I saw I wouldn't made a double with the same version. After seeing the 6.1 version I went to celzoalvedo or what site, I mean the port hub and started looking for a newer working version. I don't even know what's going on.
Indeed I thanked in that thread but for op's post, not yours I slipped over your version share. If I saw it, I wouldn't have downloaded 12+ versions from the port hub and saved myself from a lot of annoyances. Now I understand what you're talking about. Now I understand why you asked if I'm a developer, I guess. I was just happy that the 13th version of gcam I downloaded from the port hub worked and in that sudden spike of success/joy I shared on xda for others to use too. Sorry for being ignorant and not seeing your previous comment on that thread. I'd not even have made this thread if I saw your post.
Front camera resolution is still limited to 3MP.

Nah. For me on a 4:3 ratio it shots 1728x2304 pixel pictures. Which means 4 mp. Anyway I didn't really ever seen a gcam that is not limited for 12 mp back and 4 mp front camera sadly.
Color output too muted I wish there's a saturation setting for this gcam version

There is. Default saturation is medium. You can set it to high.

Still muted colors and limited dynamic range compare to stock.
Btw stock camera output's colors may look saturated but to my eyes they're accurate based on the scene.

Yeah. Might be the case. Dunno. I've never been a professional.

Try clearing the appdata and setting it to default again.Or try switching between the gcam default and medium saturation a few times. Coz mine also started out pretty desaturated but sort of corrected itself after fiddling a bit and restarting the app. I would have shown samples but its not letting me to.most probably because mines a new account.
