[Q] [REQUEST FOR DEVS] Porting HDR+ on OnePlus ONE

Hi guys, don't know if it's possible, is there any dev that could port HDR+ function of Nexus 6 (which has the same camera, with the addition of OIS) on our OPO???
There are many excellent camera for our device but i think that this could be a great added value for our device.

Only CM can do this because it requires updated lib files

HDR+ depends on full support of the new Android camera HAL (source). It is theoretically possible that we could have our own non-Google Camera version of HDR+ since our camera app apparently has direct control over shutter speed and ISO, but it would have to be written by Cyanogen from scratch since the Camera Next app is closed source. I think we have a better shot at getting full Camera2 support in the coming year than we do getting a custom version of HDR+.

Yeah, i've read that. Also Clear Image is a sort of HDR+ but results aren't as good as the original (they work in slight different way), in the original post i meant the porting of the whole official feature of Nexus 6 ( i don't know what have to be ported, maybe camera driver) to work with OPO. I also think that you're right, opo shot performances will be better with cm12s (they have rewritten camera driver to have camera2 support already in the first release, i read it on reddit...)

Night mode with the Pixel 3 Gcam port samples ! Wow

The night mode with the Gcam port in this phone is amazing!
The moto z3 play has a great camera but the Moto stock processing when you are taking pictures is a really bad but with this Gcam port is another thing! It was very Dark by the way.:good:
Check the samples below!
Which version of gcam are you using? I am using GS9_GCamera_Mod_v.5.1.20_R4X.apk and it is the best one I have tested.
I'm using this

Very stable. No need to adjust any setting (I just turned off motion photos).

Arnovas v1.7 Compatibility?

I'm interested in getting the pixel 3 (or 4)
Currently using a pixel 2 xl as a dedicated camera phone was and I'm using Arnovas V1.7 Gcam_6.1.021_Advanced_V1.7.190716.1800.apk
As a gcam mod for much better photos
Was wondering if anyone is able to let me know if the same gcam APK works on the pixel 3?
This is directed at someone who already has it installed as I don't want to put anyone through the hassle of installing it to test it
Thanks in advanced!
Pixel phones are the source of these gcam apks. Hence, you should not need any gcam mods as you always have the latest, greatest and most stable (hopefully) as a pixel owner.
For instance, my Pixel 3 Camera app has the version 6.3.026.

Original camera realme 5 pro port to custom rom?

Hi guys, I'm currently using LOS as daily, i love this rom. but the only thing is camera, I've tried every gcam and no one works on my phone. Ive come with idea if someone will port original camera from coloros to work on custom rom. it would be great if someone work on it. thanks anyway and i will look for it
I know that to make a stock camera for custom ROMs in difficult but not impossible. By the way, there is fix for gcam working in LOS made by user vetefan. works like a charm. But no gcam have eis, 60 fps, 4k, 48MP, macro, wide lens support. And in all gcams resolution is limited to 12 MP front and 4MP back camera, slow-mo. So gcam although makes nice night shots, cannot use efficiently our camera hardware. And the camera is one of the major assets of our R5Pro. That's why I end up in stock rom with magisk. So it would be major contribution to R5 Pro society if someone could get stock camera working on custom ROMs.
here fix for gcam in Los( thanks to vetefan):

Same here. Been looking into the issue but oppo cam app can't really be installed without it's libs outside color os environment. We've been trying a lot of things out and experimenting with the guys on telegram to make it work but without success so far. Stay tuned.

Which Version of Gcam is the best G8 Plus? And Which Settings do you guys use on it?

Hello,
I'm diving now into the Google Camera world and with the G8 Plus, I'm not really sure which version of Gcam is the best for this phone model, and also i dont know exactly which settings we should tweak to take good pictures, any guidance would be super appreciated.
Thank you.
-MOTO-G8-Plus-PMGC_7.0.009_FinalBuild_v14.apk
-Camera_MX_4.7.200.apk
-My favourite is Open Camera.apk by Mark Harman -free on Play Store
You must know that you cannot store photos on SD with GCamera on unrooted Moto G8 Plus.
The next two allow you to store on SD.
Choice is yours
All the best !

Thank you very much for the suggestion. Hypercam works nicely, but I'm not able to use the wide angle lens.
Otherwise I've found that you con choose the lens you want with Urnyx05 GCam port.

Works nicely, and apart from the distorsion of the preview, you can use the wide angle lens: any suggestion to correct this??
