Looks like a culprit was found and the issue is fixed now.
For some reason Kowalski kernel touch panel driver behaves weirdly with crDroid,
replacing it with stock one solves the problem, at least for me. Need more testing though.

I have AOD and fingerprint on, standby battery drain is about 60mAh or 2% per hour.

I did that and it worked, but the ROM is not really usable because i cant restore my data from google, it keeps crashing when i try to login to my account...

Yes, that's annoying.
Install via fastboot the latest xiaomi-fastboot .eu ROM from their Homepage. Link is also somewhere in this thread: [ROM][9.0][grus][unofficial] crDroid Android. Just search inside thread. I had that issue installing crDroid v6.0 with Android 9. But not with (clean Installation) v6. 0 with Android 10. After installing fastboot-ROM you can install twrp again and then Flash this ROM (after that you have to make reboot and complete the ROM-Installation), restart into twrp and install GAPPS. But look in the install Info. When you are in twrp you can connect the Phone with PC and copy all the files you need to install to Phone.
New version today? Does AOD notify third-party apps? Thank you
i flashed it again but with different (newest) Firmware and now i don't get crashes anymore and the ROM seems to be useful for me. It's looking good so far!

Issues faced so far:
1.Encryption is not supported by this ROM, had to Format Data to install it.
2. Google Restore Setup wizard keeps crashing when I tried to restore data via cloud, to resolve the issue I had to install NikGapps Basic + PixelSetupWizard addon.
3. Style & Wallpaper package is missing and you would be stuck with OP's choice of theme only.
4. Icon pack support is there but whenever I tried to apply an icon pack, the launcher is adding padding to the icons to make it look circular, no option to set Icon Type to default.
Will be able to comment on battery and charging after couple of days of usage.

Thank you for the new build.
However, wiping /data (partition) and Format Data are two different things which was not clear from the instructions.
I can't install the Magisk zip file from the Magisk manager!
It's because my phone reboots even after shutdown.
Is there any solution to that?
I need to root my phone ASAP!

Update your recovery to the latest version
Hello Devolopers I am using this rom on My redmi 3s (2gb). The previous version rom was so smooth and It had no charging issue but I yesterday installed latest 4.1 build and my device charging shows " charging Slowly" it wont charge not a % for like hour
please help me with this

For futures update do I have to flash the new update (like a fresh install)? Or I will have the update through the OS (in update section) ?

There is no OTA Updater as of now, you can try dirty flashing updates but if any issues occur kindly do clean flash

If you already got a custom recovery (TWRP for example) installed, you can skip this step.
1. Download the vendor file from here and the Evolution ROM from here.
2. Boot into TWRP Recovery.

clean flash on your first install. i will release updates often for the first few weeks as more and more features are getting ported to android 12, and when i release those updates you should be able to dirty flash them will make a telegram channel that will notify when i update the rom, but whenever you download from the google drive link you will be downloading the latest version.

join the telgram support group linked in the post and i can help you there. you probably just need to do a clean flash. only dirty flash if you are coming from my builds, and since this is the first one ive released you should only clean flash
The camera doesn't seem to work at all. Google Camera is installed as a system app and in the play store an update is available.
However when I try to install the update, it fails everytime. Also installing the apk fails everytime.

disable the google camera system app and install a modded version from here. most of them work but i find BSG to be the best. if you want an open source camera there are some on the play store and maybe on fdroid. i will try to include a working camera like snap cam on a future build.
After clean ROM, recovery and firmware flash, fingerprint unlock is not working, it's saying "Hold a little longer" even though I holding it all the time. Rest looks smooth and stable, SafetyNet, L1, all cameras (BSG version here) too.

bug on google's end. did you change the animation speed or the display colors? check in display settings that colors are set to boosted or natural, and check in developer settings that animation speeds are set to 1x

I came from ArrowOS 11.0 and did a dirty flash; without wiping cache/dalvik. I installed ArrowOS with Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_11.02.2020.zip and did that again on this Rom. The only thing I would like is to get rid off that horizontal line at the bottom of the screen. You can see it at the picture. Anyone an idea? Thanks!

As the thread indicates, this release is in development ...
Installed. First time was a bootloop - second install worked, but lost TWRP - it would start up, then reboot the phone.
Reflashed 3.6.0_11-0 and all is well.
ROM boots and everything appears to be working ok.

I tried a few times and I have bootloop everytime. I have used CrDroid 7.13 with FlameGApps before, and even after formatting data, these GApps were backing up and restoring after flashing Crdroud 8 automatically. Could it be the reason of this bootloop?

Right, I had to flash MIUI ROM and then CrDroid. I would prefer CrDroid without built-in gapps, do I can decide which gapps to choose. But this ROM od great amyway, thanks for that dev!

Is the miui camera fully working? how about the pro mode, panorama and slow motion? is everything fully working?

Are there any major issues with this?
Also, just wanted to make sure that next builds will support dirty flash. I don't want to format my father's device again and again.

No there aren't any major issues.
Yes you can dirty flash from next build and if your encrypted with the recovery i recommend which are either aosp recovery or joker's a13 twrp you can update from system ota updater too.

After install it to my Redmi Note 7 Pro, phone is not booting. Do you know why??
I wiped cache, dalvik-cache, data, metadata, system, vendor. Then I flashed this ROM. But after flashing it, my phone is not booting

Is there any way to install any previous or lastest version of Evolution X on Redmi 6A?
I had a problem with every custom rom I installed. My Jio sim was not working in any of them after installing custom rom. Is there anyone using a Jio sim with this rom installed?
Edit: I installed it and no such issues.

There are a few minor issues. Nothing major.
1. I have multiple users in my phone. I can use fingerprint in admin user but no fingerprint in other users. I think that's how it is supposed to be. But when after using other user profile, I change back to the admin user, fingerprints do not work. I have to restart to get it to work every time I change back to admin.
2. When I change users, the accent color does not change and stays the same as the admin one even though I have different wallpapers in both users.
3. There is no camera app pre-installed. I installed the Google Camera app and its fine but I cannot use my 48 MP camera. I don't know much about it but I think ANX camera supports 48 MP camera just like on MIUI. This is the only thing I miss. Please add ANX camera in the next update or let me know how to install it.
4. When unlocking my phone, if I have the AOD turned on, there is a great transition, the screen seems to start to light up from the power button. I don't use AOD as Redmi Note 7 Pro does not have AMOLED screen. So, is there a way to set that unlocking animation as default?
5. Why is there no face lock?
6. I think the in built applock should have different password or pattern than the screen lock. Most of the times everyone knows the screen lock I like to keep some apps locked but if the passwords are same then what's the point of having an applock?
Those were minor issues I had. A I said no major issues so far. Really loving it. Many thanks to the developers. This ROM gave new life to the phone. Keep up the good work.
