Lenovo TB-8504F - WLAN Inactive After Updating to 8.1 - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

Hi,
I updated this using Lenovo Smart Upgrade Assistant - update to TB_8504F_USR_S001019_1909091114_Q12000_ROW seems fine except my Wifi/WLAN is totally dead.
I saw a previous post where someone flashed a modded ROM then flashed the stock ROM and Wifi worked again.
But I am stuck because the option to enable OEM Unlocking in Developer Options is greyed out - underneath it says to Connect to the internet or contact your carrier.
I have tried unlocking via ADB but this does not work either.
I tried installing a terminal emulator, and it seems my wlan0 is totally missing!
Please does anyone have any ideas for me?

[DEV] [ROM] Pull and modify an existing ROM off a Samsung phone.

Greetings,
I'm embarking on a new journey to rooting and putting a "custom" ROM onto my phone. However I've never modified an android phone, so this process is all new to me.
Obviously the first step would be rooting my phone, but from there I'm stuck. I'm using a Samsung-SM-J320A, and I'd like to keep the main features of the OS (look and data that's already installed), but upgrade the actual Android version. It's currently running Android 7.1.1, though I'd like to upgrade it to 8.1 (Oreo).
I do understand the header of the forum said "no noobs", but I cannot for the life of me find a method to pull the existing ROM that's installed on my phone off and modify it.
Any assistance is welcome. (Apologies if this is not in the right category/titled correctly)

I want to get the FRP/Google Lock info via COM PORT (AT COMMAND). I've tried AT+DEVCONINFO but it doesn't have any FRP or Google lock info. Anyone have any idea about it?
The purpose is I just need to know if device has google/FRP lock in it or not that's it.
