Unlocking bootloader in MTK chip phone - General Questions and Answers

I bought a Coolpad Cool 20 phone with MTK chipset manufactured by Coolpad which based on China Mainland. Now I want to install GApps but I cannot find the information about how to unlock this phone.
I tried both `fastboot flashing unlock` and `fastboot oem unlock` command, however it only return `remote: 'unknown command'`. I think the unlock command was been changed by Coolpad.
Any other unlock steps (or boot.img extracter) can be tried?

Download and install Coolpad's Android USB Driver if not done yet. Then it should be possible to flash anything.

Oppo A31 (CPH2015) rooting

Welcome, guys. I am a beginner to your community but I've been wondering long enough and struggling with getting a root on my new OPPO A31 and I don't know how to get it.
My phone had a built-in method to unlock bootloader so I bet it's fully unlocked.
I've tried Kingroot and RootKHP -- still useless.
Can you help me with rooting?
Thx.

I don't think you have unlokced bootloder still. If you use: adb reboot bootloader
command then does it boots to fastboot mode?
if yes...mind saying how?

Hm i also use oppo A31 but . i dont think we need deep testing tools . YOu can find unlock bootloader option in developer settings and then fastboot
EDIT : I have succesfully unlocked my bootloader . Its not that hard if you have enough expireince with unlock tools
1. Download any bootloader unlocking tool ( the one i used is this MIracle team tool)
2. Download mct bypass tool *You dont need it while unlocking bootloader but if you want to root the device u need this ( MCT BYPASS TOOL)
3. Download mtk drivers and libusb drivers (THIS IS VERY IMPORTENT )
4. After everything setup and checked . Open Miracle tool and select mtk then connect your oppo device with the usb cable to your pc .
(To verify check weather any usb with name MTK has been connected to the system if it has it is workig)
5. Now select bootloader unlock in miracle tool and then connect your device after switching off in brom mode
(To those who doesnt know what is brom mode *JUST PRESS YOUR VOLUME AND VOLUME DOWN AND POWERKEY AT THE SAME TIME untile some text start comming in the miracle tool on your pc
6. DONE AFTER SOMETIME THE DEVICE HAS BEEN SUCCESFULLY ROOTED UNPLUG THE USB AND REBOOT THE SYSTEM

Gionee a1 lite cannot reboot into bootloader or enter Fastboot mode through adb pc command

I recently got a gionee a1 lite device and have been trying to get it rooted through pc. I've been attempting to unlock the phone's bootloader but the device simply switches off when I run "adb reboot bootloader" command or when I try to access reboot bootloader through recovery mode.
Has anyone had a problem like this with their gionee a1 lite or anyother device?
Install on PC the matching "Gionee USB Driver" if not already done yet.

You know that you need an Xiaomi App on PC for this action? An that you need to ask xiaomi for unlocking your device, which will take a week or so to be accepted? You should read a bit about your device before you should do such an action...
Using Windows 10?
Make sure the Driver in DeviceManager is correctly set as Android Bootloader.
If that is not it make sure you're in Fastboot Mode and not Fastbootd (which happens if you use adb reboot-fastboot)

So for that action (unlock bootloader) it is not necessary/senseful to enter fastboot mode, you need xiaomi unlock app or xiaomi tool ... But if you want to connect x3 and PC in fb mode, you need to have installed adb and the correct drivers ...

I have installed Xiaomi tool but it doesn't detect mobile even I have installed adb and fastboot drivers
Try different usb cable and/or port
You need to install the driver from xiaomi unlocker, the latest version.

Bricked Ulefone Armor 8 Pro

Hi everyone, I tried to flash a patched Magisk boot image on my Ulefone Armor 8 Pro via fastboot but the device is now stuck in bootloop. I have already read some threads about trying to flash the stock firmware using the proprietary SP Flash Tool, but the phone doesn't remain in download mode for more than a few seconds. I can't even boot in recovery/fastboot mode again to try to flash the stock boot image since the phone just keeps rebooting. If someone could give me a hint it would be really appreciated.

You need write the model of device.
Currently I know of 3 models: 4GB RAM(Armor 8); 6&8GB RAM(Armor 8 Pro).
So with the correct stock ROM you can flash the device.
To use SPFT you need to specify which OS you have: Linux; Win7_8_10; other
This is to know if you actually installed the USB MTK drivers correctly and if further action is needed.
Also, write if you have the device with the bootloader locked or unlocked.
I have the 6GB RAM and have downloaded a time ago the GQ3090RH3_KSX70H_Ulefone_20210902_V01(Non-EU).zip file aka stock ROM. That's aka Non_EEA model. In the Ulefone site have SP_MDT_exe_v3.2048.02.00(Client).zip aka flash tool.
You used that tool?
Thanks for the reply. I have the model with 6GB of RAM as well and I am currently trying to recover my phone by using Windows 11 in a virtual machine. The bootloader is unlocked and I tried to flash the EU version of the stock ROM (GQ3090RH3_KSX70H_Ulefone_EEA_20210902_V01(EU).zip) by using SP_MDT_exe_v3.2048.02.00(Client).zip (after installing the required drivers), but as I have already specified I can't boot in download mode for more than a few seconds. My computer recognises the device as "MediaTek MT65xx Preloader" but the phone immediately reboots and I am not able to flash the stock ROM.

Win11 is not good to use SP tool.
Maybe using Win10?!
"MediaTek MT65xx Preloader" is normal but need installing drivers correctly. You can try this: Driver_Auto_Installer_EXE_v5.1632.00.zip - 8.8MB
Reboot VM and try with the device turned off!
For using SPFT or SP_MDT your device not need in the bootloader mode. Device turned off - conect USB - look about USB PORT COM - Scan - Start All
If you not know how to do so Read Upgrade software guide for factory assembly line.pdf
Here file and more about: Upgrade tools and USB driver - Armor 8 Pro
___________________________
UP: Maybe SP need more than you know.
I used the SPFT and worked good to me with Win10.
May be SPFT can help more than SP: SP_Flash_Tool_v5.2124_Win
For using SPFT your device not need in the bootloader mode. Device turned off - open sxcatter file - look for Download Only option (NOT use FORMAT+....!!!!) - now with the device turned off conect USB - press DOWNLOAD (Ctrl + D).
Well, you saved my phone. Thanks for the help, I really appreciate that. I installed Windows 10 and the drivers you linked me and via SP Flash Tool I managed to flash the stock ROM after connecting the device with a USB cable. Thanks again.

TWRP installation for Tecno pop 2f

Hello
I have been trying to root my device Tecno pop 2f and I've only gotten as far as opening the device's bootloader but I cant seem to unlock the bootloader when entering the command fastboot OEM unlock/ fastboot flash unlock, but oddly enough the device seems to have multiple bootloaders (I don't know if that's even possible)
Developer mode has been enabled and OEM lock has been disabled when the device was on
after sorting that out...
There are 2 methods I used with adb
Method 1
1) adb devices
2) adb reboot bootloader
2) fastboot OEM unlock (error: unknown cmd)
Method 2
1) adb reboot recovery (Then I would switch to the phone to manually enter fastboot mode, which looks different than method 1)
2) fastboot OEM unlock (weirdly it works here)
3) fastboot flash recovery recovery.img (error: Flashing lock flag is locked, please unlock it first)
I'd wish to provide screenshots but I only have a single device and a crappy camera on the laptop so there's no use, please make due with this information.
Yes, an Android device indeed has 2 bootloaders - they are called first stage and second stage. The first loads the second what loads the Android OS.
