I've been waiting for spigen to release their SNAP series for the Galaxy S4, and it seems it is finally here!
They have their signature red stripe on black leather and brown with a dark brown stripe. seems slick.
unfortunately, I'm registered as a n00b and can't post a link.
I'm using the Gmyle case from Amazon. It was 99 cents plus shipping, but they raised the price to $3.99 + ship. Definitely not the best case around, but there are good qualities.
The good:
1. The sleep/wake function works, and I love it.
2. The case is held in tight, and the part that holds it along the edges doesn't rise up high above the screen. It's nearly flush, with just a small lip. A high and/or thick lip would be a bit annoying to use, so I looked specifically for this.
3. It has 3 card slots instead of the more common 1. I use 2 credit cards, my driver's license, insurance info, and 1 other card. With all of that and 6-8 paper bills, the clasp still holds it closed just fine.
4. The back is creased down the middle, so you can use it as a stand. I use this mainly at nights (so the night clock faces me).
5. It's reasonably small, with the edges going just a few mm beyond the edges of the cellphone.
The bad:
1. It's synthetic, not leather, so it probably won't last as long as true cowhide.
2. While the cutouts for the power and volume are properly sized and the material is pretty thin, it still does make pressing those buttons a bit harder than when using no case.
3. I have a relatively small head, so holding that thing up to my ear to talk looks, well, rather ridiculous.

im a guy and i was looking around for some wallet cases but most are either too girly, or reviews are really bad, hopefully this snap case works out well because i felt like i wasted my money on the neo hybrid and slim armor

I just bought the AceAbove case which looks exactly like this case, except for the mfg name on the front. The Ace costs 9.99 and is eligible for free shipping. I bought it for casual use (ie when I'm not working) so I expect it to last me a while. Just remember that in most circumstances you get what you pay for, but as I said I'm not expecting otter box greatness from this, but rather casual convenience.
This year, the M8 had alot of great cases. I myself went through six of them, not because they broke but because I liked a new look every now and then. What cases are you hoping to see this year for the M9? I'm looking forward to anything Spigen or Incipio.
Only case I used on my m8 was the Dot-Matrix case....but I ended up ditching it anyway. I like to have a gorgeous phone in my hand...not hidden by a case. The m9 will be the same.
Spigen!
Already on ebay...
M9 cases are, incredibly, already available on ebay.
I expect the flip case, the dotview case and the two-toned cases HTC has for the M8/M7 specifically for the M9. (The device is rumored to be roughly formfit compatible but there are some significant changes, such as the lack of a duo camera and the power button moved to the side from the top).

it's the same exact case, with a square cutout for the camera.....and a few new colors
the only changes with the app are updates we already get for Dot View
I would enjoy seeing a better looking dotview case. The Dotview case on the M8 was good but it kind of dulled the looked of the phone, I would hope they could make one that actually complimented the M9. Maybe a transparent one!

Reportedly the M9 Dotview cases will be available in more colors.
Spigen babyyy ,,

Ready for pre-order
There are already available cases for M9 Spigen again will lead the race
Hoping for UAG!
I'm looking forward to Dot view cases. Love the usability and notification alerts on the HTC M8!
Decisions decisions!
I had the dot view case for the M8 but it broke within a few months, and a few people had similar comments from what I saw on reviews and forums - rubbish considering its manufactured by HTC themselves. So this year I am going to avoid it like the plague despite the dot view functionality.
Which leaves me back at square one, what to get when I have the new M9?
don't want a boring gel case, I want something a bit different that shows the phone off nicely. Any one seen any videos of anything interesting?
Looking forward to the dot view case as well. Pretty hefty update to my s4 with the s view case.
It looks like very few of the current available m9 cases are going to work with IR. On the M8 the IR was in the power button. We are trying to figure out where the IR is on the M9 exactly so we can make a hole for it. Might have to push our cases back a bit until we can confirm the location of it.
highly recommend iVoler
non wallet card case
I'm hoping to find a non wallet card case such as the coverbot prime joshua54 found for me last year. I posted a review on the m8 forum and is still on my m8 today. I'm getting m9 on launch day and will be gutted to live without a non flip card case until someone builds one. If anyone can find me a case I will buy them a pint
Verus case for M9 is a good choice.
Spigen and Incipio! Hands down!

Im going to be rocking the Orzly invisicase for the m9
Orzly have around 8 different types of cases for the m9 and I strongly suggest you look at the youtube videos and also the website the range is brilliant
After using a case mate naked tough case on my nexus 6 I was looking at getting a case with a kick stand for media consumption and so far not seen any for the 6p. If anyone has seen one can you let me know. Iv ordered a cheap one for the time being to offer some protection but it is only meant as a temporary until I can find one I actually want and fits the bill for my needs

I've seen a few on Amazon with kickstands.
http://amzn.com/B015K7XRUM
http://amzn.com/B015X6FAE6
http://amzn.com/B014ZJKDEY
Do a deeper search than I did and I bet you'll find more. Most of these seem to be the extremely bulky case types, which don't interest me personally. One case I had for the Nexus 6 which had a kickstand but was also slim was the Seidio Surface case. http://www.seidioonline.com/motorola-nexus-6-surface-kickstand-case-garnet-red-p/csr3mtn6k-gr.htm You might want to contact them and see if they plan on making a N6P case. I'll vouch for Seidio - they make pretty good products. I've even deployed them with iPhones at work.
Thanks, none of those are on Amazon UK as far as I know but il keep looking

I saw something recently about how a lot of the early cases are blocking important parts of the sensor/antenna bar (the black bar on the back of the phone). Does anyone know how much of the bar needs to be exposed to not impede functionality?
And to the OP, I've had a kickstand case with my last two phones, and last two tablets, and I just can't go back to a device without it now. So thanks for starting this thread.

I have found that many of these are preproduction images, so I wouldn't rely on the current pictures to show me anything more than a rough idea of what the final product will generally look like. Several product images have already changed on Amazon's site.
Wait until the middle / end of October for all the companies to get the products finalized. This forum already has several threads with replies from manufacturers saying designs aren't final. They are just trying to ensure they get their piece of the pie on early and preorder case dollars when they list products this early on Amazon.

Gotcha, thanks for the info.
Real interested in the i-Blason case since I'm looking for a hybrid case with a kickstand that gives me peace of mind without Nexus protect.
However I emailed them aobut the laser AF problem and got this:
Dear Customer
I cannot guarantee that will not block it. I have not information concerning this problem.
Thank you
CSR Team
Might try again in a few days...
Once Seidio releases their cases the Surface should have a kickstand. Using that case now on my S4 and love it.

Sigh... No news on these? I only see the the moko and caseformers..... Anything more fancy and slim as i don't think seidio is making one

This one on amazon appears to be slim, and has a kickstand too:

Based on the picture, the laser autofocus appears to not be blocked.

Was thinking of it but looks very cheap
Plastic stand and i hate the silicon wrapped in Plastic.
I've seen nicer ones that are more costly by reputable companies but none for 6p
Bought a tpu for now from tudia.... Nice and slim but would like to have a spare with kickstand so I'll wait a bit more to see if anything comes up

A case with a stand will be ultimately what I get.
As I am getting a silver phone rather than a black one, I would really love a crystal clear case with stand! Although I'm sure this will never happen.
If you guys are wondering the quality of the caseformers, I have one for my Note 5 and did a quick review on YouTube. See for yourself.

Thanks.... How is it when laying flat in a desk. Seems like there is a bulge.. Does it wobble at all?

Spigen has a ring that attaches to any case (flat surface) that works as a kickstand and a grip helper for the phone. They also include a car mount with it. Here's the link

Doesn't it make it wobble when flat? Looked cool initially but I think it's a bit weird to carry 24/7 on such a nice phone. And I doubt it last forever if constantly removing it.
Thanks anyway though
I haven't received it yet, but I know that I will be using it as a kickstand, so what's the relevance of "lying flat"? It looks like if you stick it above center, but still out of the way of the Imprint sensor, it should sit on a table/desk at a very convenient angle in either orientation...

I just sometimes lay it flat and don't always use a kickstand. I enjoy it when I need it but not all the time.
I'd prefer a thin case that has a kickstand if and when needed.... But each use phone differently

So I posted several of the other colors I have coning on the general forum before I realized this forum said skins on it. Let me know if you guys what to see my other three combos I have on order already and I'll post pics. I have not ordered this one yet but I'm on the fence and very close to ordering.
Gonna be honest... That looks horrible! However, if you like it, then who cares?
I tend to stick to less in your face colours.
Less in your face colors = less stealable.
Once your skins on, the cases will fit a little different. I use one at work cause it's dangerous stuff. I use rhinoshield sometimes.

That one will be used on occasion. It won't be my primary skin but I've always wanted to try yellow and blue together. I'll never using a blue skin with red accents. Here's a picture of actually two more I have coming. Either the Red or the Blue will be my primary skin but I will change them out from time to time. I typically don't use a case with my Nexus 6p so the skin will be my only form of protection which isn't much. Outside of me dropping it which I plan not to the skin will keep the phone in new condition which my 6p happens to be brand new actually which I bought from a guy who had three 6ps. One of his were brand new which I bought that one but he gave me the deal of the century on it. Brand new in box 64g never turned on plastic still on it. I paid $150 for it! When I posted about my deal on Android central a couple of forum buddies of mine wanted to see if they could get the same deal I did on his other two he had left which they were used and no box came with his other two. They got theirs at $150 also. I was already in the market for one new as I have to have the original box I guess a pet peeve of mine but I never in a million years expected to find a brand new 6p 64g for $150. It came out of nowhere and he actually offered me a pixel XL 128g at first for $300. I just ask him by chance did he have a Nexus 6p and yep he had three of them but only one that he had never opened. I of course jumped on that one. Anyways here's the primary skins I'll be using as the yellow and carbon fiber blue skin was just for fun and yeah I like the pop. My next one I order will probably be orange and blue.
Here's the other one I'm thinking about ordering. It's got a regular blue back with a orange carbon fiber camera and orange Nexus letters.
I think out of those, the first of the 3 look the best.
Is it not a bit awkward swapping around skins? I always find skins to be a one time deal, they stretch when they come off the metal back of the 6p

Oh you like the yellow and carbon fiber blue too? I don't typically go for those two colors but I wanted something that popped. I thought that combo looked killer and I know it will once I install it on my 6p. Actually they come off really easily and I save the sheet they ship on so when I take it off I just stick it back on the sheet and then install a new skin. The very first one I ordered actually arrived today. It's solid red and came from mighty skins. Here it is.
Red on the back looks good. Not a fan of the front though, I much prefer skins that are one joined piece on the front.
Just ordered a concrete back skin from Dbrand for my 6P. £2.50 on eBay

Yeah I won't keep the front two pieces on as I was just seeing what they looked like. I actually have a new tempered glass arriving tomorrow for my 6p so once it comes in I'll remove the front pieces and put them up as they wouldn't work with a tempered glass protector at all. Right now I have a liquid glass protector on it from Skinomi which does allow me to use those for the front. I typically don't ever order the front on my skins. Like the three other ones I have coming are just the back and a couple with the frame too.
Verizon currently has all pixel 4/4xl cases at 50% off. Otterbox, Google fabric, speck, incipio dual pro and a few others.
I picked up a fabric case for 20 bucks.
Not sure how long this sale will last
Thanks for the heads up. I picked the grey case up on the way home. It's a lot easier to do the back swipe with the fabric case then the Spigen liquid case.

Thanks for the tip. Picked up a black one at a local Vzw corporate store. Back gesture is easy to do, but wish it was more grippy.

I agree. The case looks good, but wow, the grip is really bad.
I ended up picking one of these up myself and I just can't help but think I don't like how the bottom is so open compared to the Pixel 3 XL version.
This would be my favorite case if it wasn't for the fact that I'm concerned that if I drop my phone it's going to hit somewhere on the front edge around the charging ports or speaker and shatter the screen LOL!
Anywho I'm kind of looking around to see what options I have.
I just came over from a Google Nexus 6 with a Cruzlite Bug Droid case that was made out of some stiffer polymer material possibly TPU? Definitely stronger than silicone though.
I have literally dropped my Nexus 6 probably a couple of hundred or more times on every corner at every angle and the phone pretty much still looks new.
I was excited to get a new version of the Bug Droid case because I really like the teal blue one that they have for the Pixel 3 XL but then discovered that they don't make them for the Pixel 4 XL
Picked up the black ...I would definitely like a little more grip but it's alright ...

Great point about the case bottom. I can tell you from experience, if you drop the phone and it cracks where the case is open, Google won't cover the damage! My Pixel 3XL cracked exactly where there was no case protection on the bottom and they told me not thier problem. Google doesnt feel like the case gives you any guarantee against breakage. That's what I was told, ymmv.
