Hi, someone know how to disable the indicators/ dots on android 11 and 12 of the camera/mic?
Of course need root but, can be disable? or maybe with ADB?
They should provide a way to disable it. Let's be smart here: if somebody volontarily disable those indicators it's up to him to deal with background sneaky recording. But we - as a user - should have a way to disable those indicators. We did without them for more than a decade...

This is probably a stupid question but so far I have not found a way to directly access the Notification Handler in the X2 settings menu.
I noticed if I install Sony Smart band or any 3rd party notifier software or Android Wear for example it will ask me to enable it to receive and handle Lollipop notifications by showing me a list of current notification handlers to let me enable/disable it.
But there is no direct way to get to that same notification handler list from SETTINGS.
Anyone found a way ?
I agree - I don't think there's any direct way to the Notification Access settings. I wish Huawei wouldn't screw up Android with their EMUI skin.
My Nexus 5 has not been rooted, but if I need to root it, I will do so. I would like to be able to filter on a per-app basis all notifications. For example, I have Ultimate Rotation Control and Custom Quick Settings installed. Both place notifications on the lock screen. I would like to eliminate these notifications from the lock screen without blocking other notifications from these apps or other lock screen notifications. If possible, I would like to be able to save the filters as profiles so I can easily change them.
Can anyone recommend an app for per-app notification filtering?

Xnotifications. Or GravityBox. But for those you'll need both root and the Xposed Framework.
Before you do any of those though, doesn't your stock ROM give you the option to block certain notifications on the lockscreen?

There is no mechanism to specifically block notifications from appearing on the lock screen. It's possible to "hide sensitive content", but the notification still appears, taking up just as much space. Other than that, the only choice is to block all notifications. It's an incredibly stupid oversight for android to not provide a mechanism for per-app blocking of lock screen notifications. Another gripe is the silly requirement for a notification to be in the notification bar or solely to enable an app to listen in the background. There should be a setting to hide such notifications. (Hiding should be the default.)

I have the option to hide such notifications in the lock screen. But I'm running a custom ROM. Seeing that you're not rooted, I'm assuming your still on stock also. Which is pretty surprising seeing that you have a Nexus 5. Which is almost synonymous with root and custom ROMS.
I want to hide notification from my lockscreen if I have my phone in *Lockdown" mode. has anyone figured out a way to do this?
to put it another way
IF:
(Secure Lock Settings > Show Lockdown Option) is active
THEN:
(Lock Screen > Notifications > Hide Content)
alternatively I could do a workaround if anyone knows a good way to unlock phone straight to dropdown shade pulled. anyone know a good way to do this?

Did you ever figure it out? I am coming from iOS and I really liked this feature, i.e., the notifications are hidden when phone is locked and shown when it is unlocked.
Hi, does anyone know how to give permission to disable notifications applications that do not allow? Such as Android system.
Let me explain, there are some applications that overlap and notify you of that but you cannot slide to remove it and I do not have access to disable it from its settings because the switch seems locked and I would like to be able to unlock the switch, it does not work for me postpone notification with time.
I'm on MiUI 12 and on my old Redmi Note 8 with MiUI 11 I had much more access to which system applications (not third-party applications) will show me or not notifications
Sorry for my bad English.

If I'm understand your problem, you can use Notification Blocker & Cleaner & Heads-up Off to clean persistent notifications. works well on my poco f2 pro
Hi all,
Hope you are fine. I am using Mi Note 10 Lite and MIUI 12.02 Global ROM. I can access/enable/disable all things (WIFI, Mobile Data, etc.) on Notification Bar when phone locked. My opinion is this is a vulnerability for me. Is there any way to prevent this?
Any help appreciated.
Kind Regards.
This might help. Go to settings/notifications/lockscreen notification & disable open notification shade on lockscreen
this doesnt help... u can still open the control Center and use All the toggles...
u cant open the notifications, but all the toggles.. WiFi, mobile data, Bluetooth...
Sorry don't use control center
