Can I get my data back from a "dead" phone - General Questions and Answers

Hello! I have been using Xiaomi mi 9 se for over 2 years now and 3 days ago I dropped my phone in the pool and unfortunately it is dead now. I had some important photos there which I didn't back up with micloud and my question is: Is it possible to get my photos back?

Is there any sound when your phone is connected to the pc

No, it stays like its not connected at all

Take phone to authorized servive center and let them try to fix your issue.
I'm pretty sure they can pull out the eMMC and read it externly by forensic tool.

Why don't you connect a Cable and see if the device is detected?
If it does, it may probably be only the display.
I'll give a try later...can be the screen considering that the backlight of physical buttons doesn't turn off?

i've used this app to enter my number, so that some apps work: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/themes-apps/app-sim-changer-change-registered-sim-t2106490
it will need the xposed framework
this is another alternative but i've never tested it: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gnufabio.simeditor

New TwoFace XL Screen

Woke up to this all new split screen view this morn where half the screen looks like static on a tv screen. No drops or anything. I was really trying to hold out for Pixel3... no warranty on VZ and they offered me a replacement for $150 (I think not). Rebooted and no dice. Any ideas?... is this a software issue that maybe a master reset can fix? Or am I really SOL here?
Good thing is, the static half is still responsive so I can use it off memory. I’m on the Android P Beta if that matters.

I think your battery is completely drained... Try to charge it first (if possible) and then to run fastboot...
I know when phone is in fastboot or in recovery, battery is not charging.
I'm not a developer or an expert, just saying what i know and have read before [emoji846]

SONY G8141 likely bricked, HELP!!

Hey guys, my xzp G8141 can't boot(vibrate but not showing anything on display), not charge(maybe yes but LED not on), and can't go to flash mode or fastboot mode, because not either green or blue led on, I'm guessing maybe it's the driver that's not well installed, I have here some screenshots from device manager. Can anyone help? I really love this phone and want it back. I broken the screen in December and then I put a new sreen on it, a cheap no original screen from China, it last some months then one day when I was testing my ROMs, the boot goes weird, then it's like this right now.
