Google Camera Port
Stable versions and configs for the OnePlus 9.
A discussion thread for GCam mods compatible with the OnePlus 9. Let's use it to find stable versions for this device.
Features:
- HDR+ Enhanced, Night Mode, Astrophotography, Portrait Mode, Timelapse, Motion Photos, Lens Blur, Panorama, Photo Sphere, Photobooth, Motion tracking.
- Video, Timelapse, Slow motion.
- Support for extra cameras (the ones allowed by OnePlus...).
- AR Playground/Stickers (follow this guide).
Bugs:
- Video quality is better on the stock camera, specially video stabilisation and slow motion.
- Due to OnePlus' decision to restrict access of 3rd party apps to the extra cameras on Android 11, you'll need to use specific "package names" (eg: use the links on this thread). Some cameras may still not be available even with the right apk due to there restrictions.
How to:
1. Download APK (pick the first one if in doubt).
2. Download config file (often not required, but may help with quality).
3. Install APK file.
4. Load config file.
A short video tutorial is available for new users.
Downloads:
- = Recommended version.
- To avoid issues when viewing media from inside GCam, install the Google Photos app (can be used without uploads/Google Account).
GCam 8 (Android 10+):
- Arnova8G2: GCam_6.210329.0153build-8.1.101 (2021-03-29, configs)
- Wichaya: GCam_8.1.101_Wichaya_V1.4 (2021-08-03, configs)
I'll try to keep this post updated with info from the telegram group, but please, leave feedback.
Thanks:
To devs like Arnova8G2, BSG, Urnyx05, defcomg, and many other modders and testers that have contributed over the years.

[Old APKs archive]
- Wichaya: GCam_8.1.101_Wichaya_V1.3 (2021-07-13, configs)
- Wichaya: GCam_8.1.101_Wichaya_V1.2 (2021-07-01, configs)

Very nice !!

Just tried Arnova8G2 on Lineageos 18.1, but it would never open and eventually crashes. Instead I am using the Wichaya build with default config, which works quite well.

Thanks for This !

Bad news everyone... Access to the auxiliary cameras (macro, telephoto, wide, etc) is blocked on OxygenOS 12 (Android 12).
Do not upgrade to OOS 12 if you need GCam (or any other camera app) to work on these cameras.
Everything should work fine on custom ROMs though.

I thought the same. It's all there built into the zoom under photo. All 3. Just not in individual categories.. I'm on A12 oxygen os for the global op9. So good news is the update is pretty awesome except live caption being broken.

I can't find photo booth option

Which is the best gcam app and config for our phone, I have tried several and best one seems to be Wichaya's 8.1

hi,
someone have gcam on oxygen os 12 c.44 update??
I tried MGC_8.1.101_A9_GVp_snap.apk and Wichaya without any config and it works but seems really buggy and often slow.

Bringing this thread back to life, as I found a very good working Gcam port for the OP9.
it was posted in the Oneplus 9 Pro forum by Arcide. On page 12, he posted an updated APK. Go here and look for the LMC8.4_R9_snapcam.apk
Link here: LMC "Snapcam" v8.4 R9
I spent quite a bit of time today using it, and comparing it directly to the OOS cam that is currently on my OP9 (unlocked Tmobile version, running OOS/Android 12). I made lots of little changes until I was able to get results that I feel are better than the OOS camera.
Try my .xml file below, and let me know how it works for you.

4k video recording crash for some reasons. Any fix?

Seems like this particular version of GCam doesn't support 4k on android 12. and only 4k/30fps works on android 11.
I'll keep checking for an update, but so far, there is no fix for this yet.

Hey Mike, I have Lineage 19.1 installed on my Oneplus 9 (LE2110) using LMC8.4 Release 9. With your config it results in the camera crashing whenever I click on "Wide" above "1.0x"
I then have to clear storage/cache in LMC8.4 to be able to open it again.
I faced the same issue with Arcide' config when ever I would click on " 3.3x" (I know I can't use 3.3x because I am using a OP9, just explaining that I have the same resultant camera crash)
If you could help me or perhaps give me any troubleshooting tips, I would be very appreciative. ❤
** I have attached a screenshot showing which button I am pressing to cause the crash, my android build and also version of the LMC8.4 I installed.

hmm, not really sure why it's not working on your phone. One thing you can try, is to re-define the wide camera. I noticed that on stock OOS, I had to set the 2nd camera to the telephoto setting in the app, even though it's the wide angle. it's like the address for telephoto and wide cams are switched in the settings.
Try this - when you first open the camera, tap the gear icon to show the settings.
Then tap on "more settings"
scroll down to "Additional Cameras" and tap that option.
- unselect "Tele Camera"
- select "Wide Camera"
See if that works.

Yeah tried that. Facing the same issue. I also run into scenarios where if I open the camera within another app I end up with a 90° rotated view.
Oh well, time to try a clean flash from scratch. Will try NikGapps this time. I am just seeing if the version of google apps I use has any affect on the outcome. Have already tried with OpenGapps and MindTheGapps.
Sorry one quick question, do you think perhaps removing the default camera app could have done this? I am trying to go through a methodical elimination of possible causes.

While I don't think that would be the cause, It might have other negative effects - like I noticed that some apps will look for the stock camera instead of the Gcam. At least on the OOS, some actions that call on the camera will end up opening the stock cam instead of gcam. so I just left it on my phone.

yeah, you are correct. I ended up making some adjustments after taking some more photos outside. go to settings, then tap "more settings"
Then Processing functions -- Color correction
under color correction, the 2nd group of settings says "Auto-CT Color Correction". Under that choose main camera, and under the advanced settings, tap CCT WB Offset, and change it to "1.0".
you can do the same thing for the tele camera. that should bring the temperature back from being too yellow. you can make these values negative if you want the photos to be cooler (more blue).

Do you have a OnePlus 9 config for 8.4 r12 fix 1?

Open Camera is an Open Source camera app for Android that I've been working on.
Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.sourceforge.opencamera
Or install APK directly from: https://sourceforge.net/projects/opencamera/files/
Open Camera is also available on F-Droid.
Homepage: http://opencamera.org.uk/
Code: https://sourceforge.net/p/opencamera/code/
Features include:
- Option to auto-level using accelerometer so pictures are perfectly level.
- All the usual options like zoom, flash, focus modes (including a "manual" mode to only focus on touch), focus/metering areas, exposure lock, scene modes, color effects, white balance, ISO, exposure compensation, video recording.
- Options for timer and auto-repeated photo taking.
- Configurable volume keys (take picture, zoom, or change exposure compensation).
- Optional geotagging, including compass direction (GPSImgDirection, GPSImgDirectionRef).
- Option to optimise UI for left and right-handed users.
v1.47.3:
Auto-level feature (from v1.48):
I want to make Open Camera better, so bug reports and feature suggestions are most welcome (either email mark dot harman dot apps at gmail dot com, PM, at https://sourceforge.net/p/opencamera/discussion/ , or leaving a comment here).
Also a request for help: one of the challenges I've had is the wide variety of different cameras or camera drivers on different devices, and sometimes bugs happen that I can't reproduce on my devices. In particular I've had various reports of problems on Cyanogenmod. If any Android developers out there are willing to help out with investigating issues on any devices/platforms you encounter problems with, this will help Open Camera become a better camera app and I would greatly appreciate it Or simply sending me a logcat may help.
I have tried this before. It's an excellent app that takes great pictures.
I'm already using snap camera so have no need for it, but it is better than pretty much all the other apps in terms of picture quality except for a couple.
Im not too big on comparing the quality of vids and pics between camera apps, to my experience its usually around the same. However, what matters is functionality and I must say this app is really nice. Buttons with quick access to the functions, etc. Especially "exposure lock" i like!
However, it seriously falls behind on the visual part. I know that in a sense it doesn't matter but it's always a nice way to finish off a good app.
May I suggest something in style with the Samsung S5 camera app? (http://i.imgur.com/iy5w369.jpg)
Functions on the left side for easy access with left hand and then shutter button + video/photo mode button on the right.
Another little thing, how about a seperate shortcut for videomode ?
I'd suggest a feature that I only saw in snap camera and Moto X camera.
the touch to capture.
instead of only focusing on touch, focus and take the picture
Thanks for the comments, some great suggestions.
* I like the icons being along the top myself, but I'll add an option to have them go down the side for people who prefer that.
* An option for touch to capture sounds a good idea too.

Can I clarify what you mean by this - there's an icon to switch between photo and video, or do you mean to change video resolution? Or something else?

Yeah, sorry, I was being unclear. I just mean in the launcher. A camera shortcut and a video shortcut.

That makes sense - have added it to the TODO.
Hi,
I just installing your camera and my first impression is :good:. It can detect wide resolution for my camera (16:9) where other competitor can't . For now I found bug related to save folder location, each time I open this setting app always tell path not found until I take one photo. Maybe because folder don't exists then app throw an error.
Anyway I didn't explore much this app but here some suggestion:
quick button to change resolution settings
quick button to change camera mode
Maybe HDR mode either software or hardware
Other suggestion will be added later :good:

Oops yes, that's a bug in the new file chooser, I'll get a fix out for that.
I want to have more accessibility to other options, though need to think about how to do this (more icons means more clutter / running out of space) - possibly having a fully customised GUI, or a swipe down for more options, or other ideas are welcome.
Hardware HDR should be supported if it's offered as a scene mode by the device; doing it in software is something I may do in future.

I vote for swipe gesture to open more options. We can have 4 directions for swiping
Thanks for pointing out HDR mode in scene settings
Half-press to focus of the hardware button continuously triggers focus, which doesn't steadily lock.
Xperia S with 4.4 aosp.
very nice app.ty for alternate download link from playstore.(we dont all use gapps).
peace
err on the side of kindness
Really loving all the app so far, here's a few ideas/suggestions
Double tap anywhere/press and hold to auto focus + take picture (this is by far the feature i miss the most from my windows phone life, maybe im not the only one)
Option to mute annoying sounds
more and more obvious GUI feedback (like for when switching from picture<>video)
circle inside the glass square doesn't look that well imhO the start recording/take picture should lose that visible square
angle line looks like an odd part of 3x3 grid (maybe its supose to be like that? i dunno, i know zero of pro-photo taking)
as a side note, at least on my device, the zoom scale looks inverted (at 0x bar it's blue, at 4x it's invisible)
i must say i really really love the option to controle the exposure from the volume menu, great idea
great work!

Hello, been using this for a few months, its one of the better camera apps, but could do with a few improvements (sorry to sound negative, I do like it!)
I d like:
An ISO shortcut, or option to add it, so you dont have to delve into the menus
Touch to focus and take a picture all in one, like Snap camera (already been suggested twice, so this seems the most popular request so far !)
Option to remove zoom slider - hardly any phone camera has optical zoom and digital zoom is 100% useless so I dont want it cluttering up the screen.
On my find 5 the camera button (the one you hit to take a shot) is surrounded by a square and it looks awful, so an option to change the style of this button would be nice (circle, square, pic of a camera, red, blue, white etc. I notice the screen shot in the first post there is no square though ?
How about a maximum no of icons you can have on the screen based on the size of the device, then user can choose what icons to have up to the maximum that can fit, so the amount of clutter is down to the user and the number of icons down to whats physically possible ?
I do like this app, but it is slow to take pictures, especially when stabilised, Snap camera isnt this slow whether youre using the stabilise feature or not, would be nice if it was quicker.
Was using the app with CM and did have some problems, using OmniROM now and dont seem to have them. Used to use Snap mostly, but that seems to have bugs on both CM and Omni, would like to remove it and 100% replace it with this.
A question about the "auto-stabilise."
Stabilization (as in Optical Image Stabilization, or OIS) generally refers to a camera shake reducing feature. Is that what this does? Your description sounds more like auto-leveling than the traditional meaning of stabilization.
I honestly have only one issue with this camera, it's damn ugly. Other than that it works beautifully on my S3 running CM11. You are using standard controls, so themes kinda mess with your work. I would suggest spending some time on a look and feel that would make your app look more modern.
What about porting it for gingerbread? (2.3+)
I really like this! I have an older armv6 version of focal but UI is very difficult to navigate. This one fills the bill.
UI suggestions:
*Universal choice of <-|+> or slider. Really do not need both visible. Do not take space for both or unselected alternative. It is those sliders that make the iPhone camera a joy to use.
*Place all those potentially per-picture options up front rather than in properties (or set their defaults in properties): ASA, white-balance, color-effect, et al. Done this way on focal and cm11s camera.
*Focus region is settable on cm11s camera (in properties but would rather see up front as well).
*Option for powerbutton capture (focus and shoot).
*Option for normal camera-icon capture (focus and shoot). Previously requested here. I am kind of confused as to what is going on right now and can be surprised to see "taking picture."
*Generally, unclutter everything which is going on the screen on top of the view. Do not need all those numbers and boxes except where directly functional such as focus region.
Might be interesting and make for quicker shoots: continuous auto focus--more likely picture is ready when I press the button. I do not think anybody is doing this at present (but nobody else is fudging angles and such either!).
Thanks for this great job, could you include the exposure time regulation? ideally to photograph lightnings.
Best regards
Enviado desde mi Nexus 4 mediante Tapatalk
Cool app from what I've seen in two minutes of tinkering or so.
I was wondering if it'd be possible to set 60 and 50 Hz anti-flickering from the app? I'm travelling in a 50Hz power region and some museum lighting gave me weird banding effects that I suspect was caused by this.

GCam for Poco f1/Pocophone f1

Google Camera Port by BSG and @sannn111ty for the Poco f1
If you don't really know why you are here, You can download Gcam here. Gcam is short for Google's camera app that ships with the pixels. Google has been making incredible advances in camera software that they put on their Pixel devices. Most of the magic of the camera quality of pixel's reside in the High Dynamic Range google algorithms. However, this software is not officially available for other devices. BSG is the first developer to have adapted Gcam for other devices. He now has a MI 8, which is very siùilar to the Pocophone, so his ports actually work pretty well on this phone.
Here is a list of the features that make google's software stand apart from all the other stock and 3rd party camera apps. (Not all of them are available in the ports, but more appear with time).
HDR + and HDR+ Enhanced: That's what most people want Gcam for. The app takes multiple pictures at different exposure levels and combines them to get even lighting. This photography technique is available on many stock cams, but Google's custom implementation of it is generally regarded as highly superior.
Super Res Zoom: That is a "usebug" feature. When you're taking a picture, unless you have a tripod, you can't hold the phone perfectly still. Google uses this slight movement to take multiple shots, which are then combined to make out more detail for the final image. Where other OEMs add a second camera, Google gives better results with just one.
Night Sight: where HDR combines multiple under-exposed shots, Night Sight does the same thing with over-exposed and longer exposed images. This produces impossible-before shots with way less noise and blur in very low-light conditions. In Daylight, Night Sight Mode also applies Super res Zoom to the image, giving a lot more detail to your pictures.
ZSL HDR+: ZSL stands for Zero Shutter Lag. As HDR uses multiple pictures, you need to wait for the phone to snap those multiple shots. ZSL essentially means your phone is always taking pictures and has a couple already buffered when you hit the shutter, so you don't need to wait.
Portrait Mode: That's blurring that background of an image behind a face. this is a trend on smartphones, and most OEMs implement it by adding a second camera on the back. the two sensors produce a slightly different image and you can calculate from the difference where to blur the image. But Google has decided not to add a second sensor to their phones. The way they pull it off is by local Artificial intelligence to detect faces and blur the rest.
Photosphere: This is essentially a 360° Panorama. You point around you and the phone takes, then stitches together, multiple images in a sphere around you. You can then view the pictures by moving them around with your fingers, or moving around your phone like a window around you.
Panorama: That is self-explanatory. like everything else, Gcam takes excellent panoramas.
Video Recording: Gcam Records video at up to [email protected]
Slow-Motion: this port can take slow-motion videos at up to [email protected]
Top Shot: Google's AI is now so good it know what a good image is like. If you hit the shutter too Soon or too late, Google will suggest another shot. It will actually take a dozen out of which you can choose, but will also suggest the best one.
Photobooth: As the camera is continually shooting and waiting for you to tap the shutter, why couldn't it do this for you too? Once Photobooth is on, you just leave your phone and it will take the picture on its own when it "sees something interesting", like a smile. Essentially, it's an AI photograph for group shots where everyone can fit in and lets you use the back sensor instead of the selfie cam.
Tracking Autofocus : As the name implies, once you click on an object while filming, it will keep the focus on it however it moves.
I am not a developer, but the subforum is for gcam ports, so here is the one for the Pocophone, with instructions and
Go to this thread, wich always has the last version up.

If you find that our APK's work well on your other model, you can open a thread for your phone to help others find a working APK faster and discuss model-specific issues.
If you have bugs, something isn't working correctly, please don't just post "Not Working !!!!" That doesn't help. Give details :

Try flashing twrp fix bro. It fixed my issue.
Try installing MIUI 10 v10.2.2.0 or higher , it should fix most of problems with gcam
Love this camera ...
I installed gcam and flashed twrp fix. I was using 10.1.3.0
After 10.2 I updated it and flashed twrp fix again for the lag issue.
Now I noticed that portrait mode is not working in stock camera. ?
i downloaded and it seems fine ...
Confused a bit, what is the difference between this and the one here :

Maybe a dumb question.? How is "Motion" in GCam working? Is it working at all? I have never found any of these short videos. Where are they stored? I'm using a Pocophone F1.
Thank you
Working fine with poco rom stock mui 10.3.6

GCam (exynos version from BSG)

Hello,
Some of you know the port of GCam made by Zoran, the ZGcam (https://koopahtmaniac.com/). The only partial working version of exynos version.
A few days ago, the person that started GCam port, BSG, released a version with support to exynos processors.
Changelog of the public version from BSG (8.1.101 from 03/10/2021):
- Added support for devices with Exynos processors running Android 10+.
- Fixed problems with add-on modules for Sony devices.
- Fixed all known issues with Google Pixel 4, 4XL, V
- The design has been redesigned (it will still be improved and a description of the settings and translation will be added).
- Added gallery selection by default (you don't need to include anything, everything is automatically enabled).
- Removed depth modules that could not shoot.
- Fixed shortcuts.
- Many minor fixes.

All versions from BSG
I've tested this and the back camera works fine (better with AWB activated). But the front camera doesn't work (maybe they can fix this in the future).
I'm just sharing this. I'm not involved in the development or celsoazevedo's website.
Note: Choose "com.samsung.android.ruler" version. If this doesn't work, try the version "com.samsung.android.scan3d"
A few things:
Frontal camera
Now, the frontal camera wont work out of the box. To make the front camera working:
Open GCam
Swipe down to open the quick settings menu and click in the settings icon
Choose "Modules"
Choose Front (0.9)
Swipe down until you see "ViewFinder Format". Change from JPEG to YUV
Go back and do the same for the Front (1.0)
Now, you can take pictures with the frontal cameras. Note that I couldn't make both lens working, only one (even you see the button to switch to the other camera, for me doesn't work).
Telephoto or ultra wide lens
By default, you can use only 2 cameras. But S10+ have 3.
To use the telephoto or ultra wide lens:
Open GCam
Swipe down to open the quick settings menu and click in the settings icon
Choose "Module"
You should see 3 entries for "Back". Each have the "zoom value"
Back (0.5) -> ultra wide
Back (1.0) -> main
Back (1.9) -> telephoto
Now you should choose the lens you don't want. Click on the lens you don't want, scroll down and choose "Disable this lens". For example: You want ultra wide and main cameras. So you would disable the telephoto lens. If you want telephoto, you need to disable ultra wide. You only have 2 options on the viewfinder, you need to trick the camera to think you only have 2 lens, so that the correct lens appear.
Other settings:
Settings -> Global: -> JPEG Compression to 98% or even 100%
This will increase the photo quality
Settings -> Advanced -> Control HDR+
Then go to the viewfinder, swipe down and choose HDR+ with a little symbol in the circle (button in the right). Each photo will take longer to take, but you will have more quality
Settings -> Gobal: -> Focus Tracking (Photo)
Click in a subject and it will keep that subject in focus, even if you move the camera

Just gave it a try: As soon as I start the app (*Eng.apk / *Snap.apk) it crashes. So I can't use it.
Running LOS 18.1. without GApps.I think that's the reason even if ZGCam was working all the time and I have fake gcam services provider installed.

As it seems there is an issue with the fake services needed by GCam.
But there's already a workaround as written here.
So we have a solution again if you don't want to use GApps.
Hello, I don't know if that's the only thing for me, but when I use GCam, I have a small image lag.

Hello,
Some of you know the port of GCam made by Zoran, the ZGcam (https://koopahtmaniac.com/). The only partial working version of exynos version.
A few days ago, the person that started GCam port, BSG, released a version with support to exynos processors (probably a collaboration with Zoran). This could be a milestone to have a better version to exynos processors.
Source celsoazevedo.com
I've tested this and the back camera works fine (better with AWB activated). But the front camera doesn't work (maybe they can fix this in the future).
I'm just sharing this. I'm not involved in the development or celsoazevedo's website.

I was using ZGCam from koopahtmaniac.com and that was working reassonable well. Just now installed this BSG's version: MGC_8.1.101_A9_PV0m_Eng.apk and that is working even better and more fluid. Thank you for pointing that out.

I overlooked an issue with front camera. Rarely use that. Front camera is making pink/purple pictures.
Does anyone know how to fix that?
Maybe a cameralib from latest vendor-stock?

Yes, from time to time there are new versions
MGC_8.1.101_A9_GVq_ruler.apk and MGC_8.1.101_A9_GVq_scan3d.apk seem to be working fine on Exynos. Also, the front camera launches, but the capture button doesn't save the picture.
Also, I can't get the wide-angle lens working here by tweaking the mod settings. However, I got the wide-angle lens working in ZGCAM.
Although, this version is actually quite smoother. Hopefully, we will have the front cam working soon

I think there is a beta version that maked the front cam working. We just need to wait a bit more.
I was able to use the wide-angle lens. But I've found a limitation. You either have the wide angle or the telephoto lens. You can't have the hability to choose both when you want.
For an example, I had the 1x option and sliding to the left I have 0.5x. But no 2x.
So, I've gone to the settings and disable the lens 0.5x. Then it appears the 2x lens.
Hope it will be a fix in the future.

Just install the apk. However, I did find that you can only use 2 lens at time. So, you can use the main and telephone lens. If you want the switch the telephone by the wide angle, you need to disable the telephone lens in the settings
But problem is I don't find setting anything related to telephoto lens?

Question GCam for Snapdragon S22 Ultra

A continuation of my previous thread for the S21 Ultra. I will keep this thread updated for new builds and configs for as long as I have the Snapdragon S22 Ultra. I am no expert with lib patchers so the configs I upload will be a modification of others that is adapted for this phone. Also, since I do not have the Exynos version, I cannot say if any of the configs will work with it.
Why GCam?
Obviously, GCam isn't for everyone. If you are already happy with stock or Expert RAW, that's awesome. If you're like me and do not like the over sharpened look of stock or the aggressive noise reduction of Expert RAW, GCam is a wonderful option that is very customizable. Example 1, example 2, example 3.
All credits of course goes to the GCam devs and modders out there. Each GCam build will have an about page that lists credits. If you like these builds and want to support your favorite dev/modder, please help them out by donating to them. Links are available on the Celso website!
You can install multiple versions of GCam IF they do not use the same package name (ex: com.samsung.android.scan3d). If two different builds has the same package name, you must uninstall the previous.
There is no "best GCam". Try the builds available to see what you like. Customize them to your own preference.
GCam 8.7 Build (BETA)Gcam-8.7.250.build-8.2Beta2
Arnova alpha build. Still can't take pictures, but supports 4K60 and 8K30 lens switching with the 1x, 3x, and 10x lenses. No configs, just go into developer options and change max zoom options to 10.
BSG MGC_8.7.250_A11_V14 and XML for it and LIB for it
Newest BSG release. Has many more options now including custom noise models and a limited lib patcher option. This config is optimized for ZSL (zero shutter lag) regular HDR+. Not the best in low light or dynamic range, but perfect for every day regular point and shoot and capturing action. You can actually record 4K60 and switch lenses! But it's limited to just the main camera and 3x camera since the zoom can't go beyond 8x. If you switch to Active mode, you can switch between the main, 3x, and 10x camera but is limited to 1080p. GCam processes videos differently from stock, and I prefer the look as well as being able to control the bitrate.
Steps to setup:
- Download and install the APK and give it the requested permissions
- Download the lib file and extract the zip
- Go to Settings > Libraries > Load custom lib (required step or GCam will crash)
- Download the XML config and move it to Internal Storage > Download > MGC_Config > 8.7.250 folder and load config
GCam 8.4 BuildsAGC 8.4 GCam v9.7 APK and Config for it
Created by KaKa, this version is color accurate, supports night mode and astrophotogrpahy mode. Contains three profiles. Standard is good for every day pictures with HDR Enhanced. ZSL is the same but of course with ZSL mode instead. Dynamic range is for better highlight control to give a more HDR look. Dynamic range profile is worst for motion so only use for static scenes like flowers and sunsets.
Steps to setup:
- Download and install AGC v9.7
- Download config and noise model
- Move config to Internal Storage > Download > AGC.8.4 > configs (create folder if it doesn't already exist)
- Start app and give it permissions
- Swipe down > Load configs and choose the config
- Swipe down > More Settings > Lens Settings > Choose any lens > Noise Model > Import Noise Model > Select the custom.c file
LMC 8.4 GCam r15 APK and XML for it (based on Arcide's v7 config)
Created by Hasli, this version is color accurate, supports night mode and astrophotogrpahy mode. Also has a ton of options you can enable such as manual focus, manual shutter/ISO, etc.
Steps to setup:
- Download and install the APK and give it the requested permissions (it will crash after)
- Download the config and copy it to Internal Storage > LMC8.4
- Open the GCam and quickly switch to video before it crashes
- Import XML by double tapping in the space between the shutter and viewfinder
Pro mode uses merge method 3 and has more noise reduction, turning it off switches to merge method 1 and is a bit sharper. LDR stands for low dynamic range, I think it adds contrast to scenes with less range.
SGCAM_8.4.400.42.XXX_STABLE_V43 and XML for it (based on Arcide's v3.3 config)
Created by Shamin, this is probably the GCam with the most options. Works very well with HDR+E. Similar to the LMC setup but Arcide has more recently updated his config using SGCam rather than LMC.
Steps to setup:
- Download and install the APK and give it the requested permissions
- Download the XML and put it in the Internal Storage > SGCAM > XML folder (make the folder if you don't already have it)
- Run the GCam and give it permissions
- Double tap on space between shutter and gallery to load XML
GCam 8.1 BuildBSG Public Build MGC_8.1.101_A9_GV1z and XML for it (config by Jajo based on a config by Fenix)
Created by BSG. Excellent and very stable GCam. Pretty much every option works.
Steps to setup:
- Download and install the APK and give it the requested permissions
- Download the XML and put it in the Internal Storage > Downloads > MGC_8.1.101_Configs folder (make the folder if you don't already have it)
- Run the GCam and give it permissions
- Double tap on space between shutter and gallery to load XML

You should clarify which GCam you are referring to since I have three listed. Also, please carefully follow the steps since each one has a different way of loading things.
AGC build has it incorrectly labeled since it is auto generated. Ultra wide on it is called 1.0x and the short tele is like 4.7x. Also with AGC, you switch lenses using the button in the bottom left corner.
Apologies, I'm using the BSG Public Build from the last link in your original post, I'm using a S9080 which is a Snapdragon device. I've tried the 2 .xml's linked as well as another from another thread on these forums and have seen the same results. I'll have another read and see what I can find

I upgraded because in the US, the trade in offers are too good lol. But the difference is minimal. The biggest difference would probably be with the 10x lens which is sharper and has more contrast naturally. The other lenses are pretty much almost the same.

Would like to know this also.
AGC v7 crashes on start, no way around it.
Shamin 8.4 starts, but only seems to function correctly with the 10x tele, the other three lenses create a very strange RGB interference pattern (fields of red/green/blue covering the image, not in the viewfinder but once taken). Perhaps that can be fixed with some specific config, no idea.
BSG haven't tried yet.

Unfortunately that's not possible. The OEM has to enable the option via the Camera 2 API, which Samsung didn't. Some other phones can achieve it via root access but there's no way to do it for Samsung right now.

Question GCam for Exynos

After some searching I found a reliable version of GCam for Exynos.
It was posted over here https://www.sammyfans.com/2022/05/22/download-gcam-mod-for-samsung-phones/
I tried Shamim versions before but I had problems where the phone froze after importing settings files.
I did freeze after switching from camera to video, portrait, ...
The version in the link above is v13, when I import the accompanying xml file everything keeps working and I can see images on all zoom positions for camera and video.
But I still get 2X ad 4X zoom instead off 3X and 10X. Does anybody know what to change in the settings to get those zoom values.
The config also works with V21 of shamim but then I do not have an image for all zoom positions on camera and video.
So if somebody has a working config for V21 on an Exynos, please post it.
After some experimenting I have the 3x and 10x telephoto working.
I can also takes pictures at 3x and 10x telephoto because the display show what I'm abut to photograph but the quality of the picture is not OK.
First of all the 3x and 10x telephoto.
This is just a matter of labels as the 3x and 10x work.
Go to settings - Additional settings - Auxiliary Cameras - Name for camera modules
enable names for aux lenses
set telephoto lens to 3x and ID4 lens to 10x
Second, show display at camera 1x, 3x and 10x
Go to settings - Advanced - Model Interface
For all the camera set the Pixel 3 (blueline) instead of Pixel 2 XL (taimen)
These settings may be saved in the profile files I found but then they are not loaded when importing. It's also possible they are not saved when saving the settings. But this is the way to overcoe this for these settings.
Now the quality, video is ok, no banding but pictures are not, see included example, i tried a lot of settings but I do not get it right.
The pictures keep on having banding, if somebody can help me with that?

Thank you for posting the installation link!
I'm having the same issue as you - but I think that everything worked well without banding until I changed something, I think it was a noise reduction parameter. Now, even a reinstallation doesn't fix that.
Anyone have an idea whether (and where) this GCam stores its configs?

I do not know what version you are using but with Shamim
Settings - Additional Settings you can find Config Setting.
There you can import and save the settings, I do not think there is an autosave.
But I'm not sure if all the settings are saved as I said previously.
BY the way I also tried another version (one that used to work with my S9) and that versions also did give banding although with the S9+ it worked correctly.

Thanks a lot, this solves the problem
And yest another question.
With the Samsung camera you can switch to 3x and 10 when recording a video.
Is this possible with GCAM?
Anyway when you are at video and you swith to another zoom mode (1x 3x or 10x) you switch automatically back to Camera, can this be avoided?
After changing some settings I can use the version of Shamim (8.4.400 v21) for gcam.
But now I want to enable motion photos, whenever I do that, the app shuts down immediately.
Is there a combination of settings so that one can use motion photos?
In the beginning I tried to import xml files but this does not always work.
Sometimes the ettings are not loaded and when they are loaded the gcam freezes if I want to change from camera to video.
I wonder if one of the following has correct settings so motion photo will work.
Did anyone try the?The files attached are
gcam84-configs22s.xml which I found at https://www.sammyfans.com/2022/05/22/download-gcam-mod-for-samsung-phones/
and Shamin_Exynos22.xml which I found at https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/gcam.4406301/page-6#post-86807279
and if so what about motion photo?
For the latest Shamin mod (nned some tune on UW) :
No success.
After loading your xml flle and turning HDR off, taking a picture and the app quits.
Restarting thereafter makes the app close down after a few seconds.
I did not even have the opportunity to try motion photo.

Thank you, it does work. Sadly it can't take normal photos.
Now we need someone to combine the two. Hopefully future versions will achieve that.
I've seen there is a Shamim version v24 from 2022-06-17.
Does anybody succeed in using this version.
If I open it and go to settings - advanced - model interface
and change the front lens / main lens / tele lens / wide lens / ID4 lens to the Pixel 3 (Blueline) interface the gcam will not crash anymore.
But in camera mode the display is green although the photos are taken without the green effect..
Settings - additional settings - few stuffs and more -
If I enable Motion Photo over there the app will still stop working.
Anybody more success?
Man, Exynos sucks with GCam. Every year there's a new problem. I received my S22U earlier today and only the Shamim port somewhat works. With AGC I get the ugly rainbow thing. Same with LMC.
I don't get it, wasn't Google Pixel 6's Tensor supposed to be like Exynos? Why is it so hard to get 8.4 working on our Exynos phones?
Edit: managed to get LMC 8.4 R11 working. Unfortunately pics taken by the tele are noisy and there are no manual noise model settings in this port. The list of noise models doesn't have the IMX754 either.
But at least Night Sight works. Couldn't get it to work in Shamim build.
I am attaching a zip with the LMC 8.4 R11 .apk and my config file. It's meant to be a baseline xml config, feel free to adjust the patcher parameters to your liking.
Note: the Leica mode must be enabled, otherwise you'll get rainbow pictures

This works perfectly , most important thing for me is the Astrophotography mode and a manual control over it .
Hello, fellow Exynos S22U users.
AGC v9 was released earlier today! Unfortunately it doesn't work "out of the box". I found a way to fix it though. Hopefully in future versions, doing this won't be necessary
Note: You have to be extremely quick with this. AGC crashes 1-2 seconds after opening, so you gotta be fast.
First of all, download the .zip file attached to this post. Inside the zip is the apk file and the .agc config. Install the .apk and then put the AGCV9-S22UEXYNOS .agc file in Download/AGC 8.4/configs folder.
After opening the app, IMMEDIATELY tap on the 1.7x button and then try to tap on 16.9x. It will most likely take a few attempts to get it right, but don't give up!
if you successfully managed to tap on 16.9x in time, you will notice the app will stay open longer which will give you enough time to load my .agc file (credit goes to @beserker15 for the original AGC V7 Snapdragon config file)
after all that, the app should work (for the most part).
Things to know:
- The camera labels are wrong (obviously). 1.7x is main, 1.0x is Ultra Wide, 4.9x is Telephoto and 16.9 is Super Tele.
- When using HDR+ Enhanced on Tele Lenses ALL CAMERAS, app will crash. Normal HDR+ works, though!
- Taking pictures in Automatic Night Sight will cause a crash, so I disabled Auto Night Sight setting.
- Leica mode MUST BE ENABLED at all times, otherwise you will get rainbow pics.
I think that'll be all for today, I gotta let my phone cool down haha.
