SM-A426B in Europe versus SM-A4260 in Asia (Hong-Kong): 5G reception problem - Samsung Galaxy A42 5G Questions & Answers

I bought a Samsung A42 5G from Rakuten. It is a 8Gb RAM version, model SM-A4260.
I live in France, and I use Prixtel MVO with the Orange network (3500Mhz antenna for 5G already open where I live).
5G is not working, even if the model I use has the good 5G bands:
Network: 5G: n1/n3/n5/n7/n8/n28/n40/n41/n78/n79 / (France is using n3, n28 and n78 right now).
Is it possible that it does not work because it is not the SM-A426B european model ? Software volontary limitation ?
4G LTE bands work perfectly...
Any idea to solve my problem ?

Do you think it is possible to flash the official international ROM of the SM-A426B on this Asian SM-A4260 version ?
The hardware seems the same...

Chinese version?

Has dual SIM.
I'm tempted to buy and import to UK. However, not sure:
1) If Wifi calling works (I've seen online some short-codes to input into dialler). Anyone know if these work (specifically 3 UK)
2) Situation re. network. Obviously I'm pretty sure 4g will be OK but not sure on 5g (Currently 3 UK and Virgin UK/EE/Vodafone)
Any suggestions?

I'm using on Vodafone not the best network, LTE would be more of a problem with no band 20, 5g would be fine, I haven't been to 5g area to test other people in Europe have no problems with 5g
Xioami explained that the china modem and bands are quite different from Europe. With 4G you won't have B20 band and 5G antenna works differently (that's why in europe it's not dual sim).

I have had china version to test before the global.
5G in Italy didn't work very good in the china Mi 10 pro. I mean that the global version has a 25% more speed.

Is that even possible, or lockdown and heavy usage at the time of testing, side by side?
My Chinese version works fine on 5G in UK. Not sure about Italy but in UK we only use N78 5G band and the mi 10 Chinese version has that and several other bands so I'm not sure what you mean by a 25% difference in speed?

Frequency bands on Chinese Vs European OP8

Hi team,
It seems OnePlus is showing different frequencies on the 5G band for phones sold in China (IN2010) and Europe (IN2013).
IN2010: Bands 41, 78 & 79
IN2013: Bands 1, 3, 7, 28, 78.
Does anyone who if a Chinese phone originally intended for IN2010 bands are flashed the international ROM IN21BA, are the other bands accessible in Europe . Other bands being, 1,3,7,28 ect.
Or is there a hardware lock?
It's technically programmed into NVRAM, but the publicly found version of QPST doesn't support this device, so I don't know of a way to modify the bands.
1,3,7,28 and 20 are 4g LTE bands in France, so Europe. It's not 5g bands
These bands are presents on the IN2010 model too

Shame, when Europe starts using band 28 on 5G, the Chinese imported phone won't support this band then.
Also i recommend compare 4G and 5G Combinations between China and Europe variant:
China: https://cacombos.com/device?model=IN2010
Europe: https://cacombos.com/device?model=IN2013

In France B28 used for 4G LTE for now but i think they will transfer it to 5G like other countries. That will be low band 5G for many countries to build coverage.

Question 5G bands in the SM-G996W

Hello,
I am looking to buy an unlocked S21+ from Samsung Canada store (SM-G996W) and I checked here :
S21+ Differences that the following 5G bands: n2, n41, n66, n71 are the ones supported by the Candian model so my question is:
Is it possible to change the supported bands? For example, if I travel to a country where the used 5G band is the n28, will the S21+ support this band. If so, how please?
Btw, I have seen some users changing Network bands on Samsung devices without root so I want to make sure that it works with the 5G bands especially from someone who have a S21+ please?
Here is the link of the short tutorial: Un/Locking LTE Bands on Samsung I am talking about.
Thanks for your help

AFAIK this 5G bands are hardware related, not software related. So no "unlocking" in this case.

So VoLTE and 5G won't work and neither will dual sim?
Will installing the Indian ROM work?
According to youtube link, it may work but u need to buy unlock phone only and it should be bought with full payment with no emis
And regarding warranty only Google support would answer best.
5g update will be included in December with feature update
The model sold in India is GP4BC, and the one in the US is GE2AE. The main difference is the radio bands, but I believe it should work fine.
For example, the GP4BC model supports LTE band 32, but GE2AE does not. However, from what I see, LTE band 32 isn't used in India. In any case, carriers support multiple LTE bands, so you should be fine for LTE coverage with the US model GE2AE.
For 5G, GP4BC supports two additional sub-6 bands (75 & 76). From what I see online, these 5G sub-6 bands aren't used by any carriers in India as well, so 5G sub-6 should also work fine if you buy the US GE2AE model.

Question Band compatibility Thailand import to EU

Hi,
I'm traveling to Thailand, and after quick search, I think price of the Xiaomi 13 in Thailand is quite a lot cheaper than in EU. I am not sure about band compatibility, or even if Asian market has different hardware than EU version. Can someone help me identifying compatibility to my carriers?
A has no 5G network, but Compatibility assistant lists two 4G bands as compatible:
B12100MHzcompatibleB31800MHzcompatible
B has incompatible 5G network and three 4G bands:
Network detailsChannels4g
B12100MHzcompatibleB31800MHzcompatibleB72600MHznot compatibleB8900MHzcompatibleB20800MHznot compatible

Thanks for help,
