I have tried the original method and cannot find the 2nd part to remove using root file explorer.
I am trying to remove Samsung Pass. On S21 G996B BTU.
Any help appreciated.
I am not able to accesss Samsung Pass as it states not usable on Rooted Device. I want to completely remove it. / Disable it.
SOLVED! S21+.
Use Root File Explorer.
Navigate to /system/priv-app/SampsungPass
Rename the SamsungPass_XX.apk to Rename the SamsungPass_XX.apj.
Now in Root File Explorer SEARCH samsungpass and com.samsung.android.samsungpass will come up, delete it and done. . .
The original file com.samsung.android.samsungpass-1 has changed to above.

Hello, newbie here, I have unlocked, rooted my droid 3 xt862. I have flashed the radio hack. I have one last issue that I can't figure out. How due I push the build file to the system file. I dont have root explorer just explorer from the android market. I clicked the file, hit copy, and tried to paste it in the system file. I wouldn't let me. I can't find the orginal file I flashed to my phone now, and if i could I wouldn't be able to figure it out.
1. do i need root explorer to accomplish this?
2. if not, where is the file on my phone?
3. How do I copy it to the system file so this phone will work with att mvno h2o wireless.
Please help!!! Im desperate. My email is [email protected] if you can help, or answer on this thread.
Thanks, Desperate Newbie
If you want to access the root of your phone use an file explorer like ES file explorer, be sure to enable root access in the menu, and you can then copy your file to the system folder
Good Luck!
Is there a way to exatract zip files like you can on a gs5
I assume you're referring to the Note 4 edge? If so you should be able to extract files easily with a variety of file manager apps like root explorer or even ES file explorer. If this is not what you're asking for please reply with more information.
Thank you
I have a letv x500 that came with a crappy custom ROM. So I wanted to download the oficial ROM for ir. I just have to place the update.zip file in my root directory. So I change the root directory to read and write, paste the update file in it and close de root explorer. After getting into se recovery mode, the phone doesnt seem to find the update.zip. So i check the root explorer, and the root directory has no update.zip file I had placed there and is set back to read only.
So I found out every time I change to read and write and close the root explorer, It gets set to read only again.
Am I doing something wrong?
I'm sorry, i've never flashed a rom b4, and I'm quite new to rooting. But a lot of things in my phone wont work in this ROM, so i really need this to work.
Thanks ppl

If I remember correctly...
Download a root file explorer (such as Root Explorer,Root Browser or ES File Explorer).
Open the root file explorer and go to the /system folder.
Open the file named build.prop in text editorIn the build.prop file look for ro.config.tima=1
Change this line to ro.config.tima=0, simply changing the 1 to a 0
Reboot phone
Run the Samsung health app.
I need your help, I successfully rooted my LG Velvet 5G with TWRP and Magisk. Now I want to edit files with a root browser / file manager. But it doesn't work with a single file browser despite root rights! If I want to change xml files, it does not work in spite of the set write and read rights! Even if I extract the XML and edit it on the PC and then want to insert it back into the system, it is there, but it is then empty. Is there still write protection in spite of root? It's Android 10. Please help me. best regards
The partition where the files you want to operate on as 1st thing of all things must be mounted as RW.
Many thanks for the answer. How do I install the source code (kernel) I haven't done it yet. can it be because of that? mount as rw is not successful. Here are the instructions, did I forget something? Https: //forum.xda-developers.com/t/recovery-3-5-0-caymanlm-lm-g900em-unofficial-twrp-for-lg-velvet-5g. 4193275 /
