We are dedicated to fast, stable, and feature-filled roms, honesty and communication with our users, and openness with our code. We strive to not only provide you with the best rom we can build, but also to give back to the Android community and our fellow developers. For us, this is about creating something we can be proud of and hope you will enjoy.

Support:
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our website. Carbon FAQ
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Join our Discord server! There, you can connect with other Carbon users and our developers, and you can get quicker responses to your bug reports. The invite link is right below.

XOS is a new generation Android-based cutting-edge OS based on the Android Open Source Project and Code Aurora Forum releases.
What is XOS?
halogenOS, also known as XOS is a new Android ROM which ships with the global aim to
become a modular ROM which keeps as high as potentially possible operating
performance on your mobile device while still maintaining a sufficient feature
base of nice, small and minimal features that would not be available via any
external feature base, extension, mod or plugin.
We hope you have a truly halogenified experience!
Internals of XOS
At core, the ROM is composed mainly of components from the
Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and Code Aurora Forum (CAF),
with extremely minor set of components from LineageOS (LaOS or LN) which
have been added to source in order to allow for better cross-device compatibility.
Our LOVE to others
A huge thanks goes to those behind the AOSP and CAF, the LineageOS Project and all of its
contributors for the sources used in the development of the base ROM which we
started with inclusive of all the work and dedication their team puts in order to
keep us updated on the awesome contributions that they make.
We will be keen on ensuring that we be up to date with the code from our base sources,
with regular ROM updates hopefully coming from time to time.
Please do not ask for ETA's (else you shall be spooked by Mr Skeltal). Almost all of us are
students, and with the current lifestyles and routines we have, it is not that easy to acquire
time to develop the ROM, though we'll be sure to keep you updated and release OTAs as
soon as they are available and ready for publication. If you want to be really updated quick,
then join us on Telegram: http://telegram.me/halogenos
Visit our website for features such as: Downloads, Information etc.
http://halogenos.org
Although no data should be lost or damaged by the flashing process,
we advise you to follow the following steps if you are coming from another ROM:
Code:
* Please take a full [I]Nandroid[/I] backup!
* Please copy your back up to an external device.
* Backing up your [I]Internal Storage[/I] is also recommended.
* When completed, [I]clean flash[/I] the build!
Although you usually may dirty flash halogenOS over other ROMs, considering the other
ROM is built upon the same Android version, it is not guaranteed.
In case of performance issues or crashes please do a clean flash.
Overall as a ROM, XOS is very stable. Our mission statement has always been of maintaining a clean and properly maintained ROM.
We take proper priority with ensuring that performance and stability are put first, features are considered an extra topping on the cake.

I am curious: Is this Rom based on the pure AOSP source code, or based on the lineage (CyanogenMod) sources? If it is based on pure AOSP is there a white balance setting? (like live display on lineage)

This ROM is based on AOSP and CAF. Not on LineageOS. We have Night Light which turns down the blue level (good for night etc.).
For manual precise settings, use Kernel Adiutor (root needed) which is available on Play Store.
Just go into the Display section and there you can find various settings.
Screenshots updated.
German included?
Awesome ROM Just flashed it on my 3T....It's the pure AOSP experience, very nice. So far it seems even snappier than lineage...

Fingerprint should work fine, there have been changes to it.
I don't know about heating issues but that shouldn't happen (our testers did not report such an issue as far as I know).
Just flashed this ROM. Nice and fast. I did find one bug however. I prefer to use a navigation bar, and long pressing
the home button does not bring up google assistant. However, binding the double tap to search assistant does bring google
assistant up. Actually I kind of like that now that I've set that, but thought I'd mention it.
FP scanner, fast and stable.

We are very excited to announce the release of Paranoid Android Quartz, based on Android 10.
On the first launch, you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson, who teamed up with us again to create several beautiful pieces of artwork. Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose design stands for itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We also added further UI touches that we believe enhance the overall user experience. You can find all of the Paranoid Android wallpapers and many more in the Abstruct app, included in our builds.
Our builds are based on the Code Aurora Forum Android base, which is optimized for Qualcomm platforms and has a higher degree of performance, battery life, and functionality compared to the Android Open Source Project platform. The Paranoid Android team and contributors are focusing on squashing existing bugs, and implementing and improving features, performance, and stability. We are dedicated to providing a user experience with the stability that you can expect from stock ROMs with best-in-class performance and features to help you get the most out of your device.

woahhhh! Thank you!
Very nice. So this is going to be official?
very good, but how come, Custom kernels will not be supported?
will the kernel stock be good enough to suit those who play a lot and who value battery durability?
We need live display settings because of burn in problem with mido, and there's that annoying "sim 1 is hd capable notification".
Other than that, rom is pretty good and smooth af.
Flashed. Everything is fine until now.

I'll try this ROM when this bug be solved in future updates, disabling nav gesture bar is important for me, cause i use the fiscal buttons.
Do you intend to keep this Rom official?
Is it possible to dissable LED when phone is charging?
Hardware Key remap in the rom?
Thanks for Dirac support! Its realy important for custom ROMs.
Please, is it possible to add switch to disable LED notification during charging?
Thanks again for wonderful ROM!
24bit+/192khz playback doesn't seem to work. Mind fixing it ?
Nonetheless, this seems to be the smoothest rom out for Mido, barring in few issues here and there.
I am unable to receive calls sometimes. It's ringing every time but it is not showing any receiving and decline button. Any fix

Thank you for this, will this have OTA updates weekly or ?
Apologies but are there any other sources for downloading this ROM? It keeps dropping out saying connection lost, yet my connection is fine and stable. It's also really slow...More than an hour and less than halfway done is the best so far.

Thanks for the suggestion. Does this custom rom come with gapps installed? And is it safe to flash gapps over the preinstalled gapps with custom ROMs?

Now on this android 12 build, it says that I have google one subscription along with 100GB storage and upload photos at native quality.
Do my 15GB storage be affected with this ? or may I be filled 100rs per month for this ?
Thanks in advance . Good port on android 12 <3

@sourav24071999 I've been using this ROM since 3 days back and I'm facing a major issue: when I connect any audio device, like my wired earphones or my wireless buds, the screen freezes and then goes all black and becomes completely unresponsive... Tried restarting atleast 5 times...shows the lock screen then freezes and then when I hit the power button it goes all black and stays black...

Everything is done now, be stable it is
One thing is bad - Phone name in Google account
Tested on Mi T9 Pro.
• Fingerprint - OK
• WiFI (2.4, 5) - OK
• Front Camera - OK
• Main Camera - Partly (didn't know how to switch cameras )
• Sound - clicks on start, and some delay in apps like Keyboard or unlock sound
Sometimes reboot (soft) happened (kernel panic?) - rarely
And some apps exited with error (settings for example) - seldom
Thank you!
