Bootloade Unlocked, now? - Huawei P30 Questions & Answers

Hi everyone, I have successfully unlocked bootloader with DC-Phenix+HCU (downgrade to EMUI 9.1). Now, I would like to root my device but I am stuck as I do not know how to do it. What is the right procedure to root my MAR-LX1A? via Magisk? Flash a TWRP (that I cannot find anywhere)? I just want to delete few apps that normally user cannot delete. Anyone can help? Thanks

I spent the last 2 days reading several tutorials and I was finally able to flash TWRP (Team win recovery project 3.2.1-0), Pretorio80 version) in my device. Actually P30 was not in the list of supported devices but It works. When I try to install Magizk Zip I get several errors:
"Failed to mount '/ cust' (Invalid argument)"
"Failed to mount '/ data' (Invalid argument)"
"Failed to mount '/ cache' (Invalid argument)"
"Failed to mount '/ Dalvic / ART Cache' (Invalid argument)"
In youtube there are many tutorials that explains how to solve these problems by selecting "WIPE" and then wipe selected folders. As it seems a quite complicated thing, I wonder if there is an expert who can help me. I do not want to brick my phone...
as far as I understood to fix the above problems It is necessary to change the partition (usualy EXT2 or EXT4). Is there any risk? lose data? or brick phone? any help?
Thanks

Hey, I can not help you, but can you describe how you unlocked the bootloader with DC-Phenix+HCU?

I have better solution. You can unstall every app which you want without root. YES its possible, I made that with App control App. You need ADP drivers for Huawei , turn on programmer options and use ADB APP control. This is screen from my ADB APP Control

can somebody confirm this, or is it just another scam app as DCPhoenix?

It;s not scam, check it. Only when you want using full Debloat options you can't because they wanna some $ but when you manually uninstall app which you want you can do it for free. This is super app. Today I was deleted google apps from Xiaomi Redmi 10s.

it would be nice to here some feedback from another user

Check this https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...-5-ultimate-app-manager-debloat-tool.4147837/

ok, thanks. I will try it out!

Flash one of the stock NANDroid backups. If you're just doing a factory reset, depending on your method used it's probably restoring to a rooted boot.img.
Any way you ca point me in the right direction on which Nan to use?

That worked guys. Thank you very much!

[Q] Weird Recovery Stuff

I have some weird stuff going on and I was wondering if maybe someone could tell me what it means. My phone is running fine, in fact better than ever. But when I reboot into recovery mode, and before I apply update.zip and I am in stock recovery (blue), I get the follow message below all of the recovery options (error message is in red):
E: Can't mount /dev/block/st111
(Invalid Argument)
E Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1
(Invalid Argument)
# MANUAL MODE #
E: Can't mount /dev/block/st111
(Invalid Argument)
E: Can't mount /dev/block/st111
(Invalid Argument)
Then, when I do a backup through CWM, everything goes through fine and then I get this message:
Back complete!
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E: Can't open CACHE:recovery/log
When I go into CWM recovery, I do see a backup labeled with the correct date and everything, so I guess it is backing up correctly? Not quite sure what to make of it.
Ignore it.

I've had this happen and it happens when you have lagfix enabled and try to revert/odin back to a stock kernel (non voodoo) you'll need to follow the manual disabling procedure (of lagfix) by injecting an empty file named "disable lagfix" into the clockwork folder on your SD card then reboot. After that you should be clear to do a clean flash to get everything working properly. If you tried restoring right now it would probably give you an MD5 mismatch, and trying to flash from recovery would probably give you dev/block errors and it would cancel installation until you get your file system back in order.

OK that makes sense. I was flashing all over the place trying to fix that radio issue. Although I liked Add's answer better. Much more convenient

TWRP Internal Memory 0MB - Samsung S7 Oreo 8.0 ( SM-G930FD)

Hi All,
I am trying to root Samsung S7 Oreo 8.0 with TWRP & Magisk. But, when ever I log into TWRP it's saying "Inernal Memory 0MB)
I've followed below steps :
Installed TWRP and no-verity-opt-encrypt zip, it worked until I reboot to system
After reboot again the internal memory showing as 0MB (may be re-encrypted)
Is there any way that I can remove the encryption permanently?
Error :

yes, it is possible. is use it all the time with my stock android. give me some time to write it...or maybe someone other can tell u. u already used the search in this forum?
an other question, u really need an unencrytped internal memory?

Thank you.. Am not exactly looking for unencrypted partition. Am just confused whether it's expected to format data and no variety everytime or is it just one time for root?
Also I gone through the threads to find fix for this issue. But most of the people are suggesting to format data.
Any other better ways? Can we take backup of existing ROM from TWRP without root?

i am using a stock firmware by telekom, it installs some features after first flash and first reboot (maybe ur firmware does not need step 3, so my second reboot is ur first reboot into download mode)
1. flash stock firmware
2. first reboot
3. install for provider reasons and then
4. second reboot (important: into download mode)
5. flash twrp
6. third reboot (important: into twrp)
7. flash zip-file (attached to this post)
8. reboot and wait....
now u should have an unencrypted system. the only thing is, u need to repeat these steps on firmware updates.

Phone no longer has OS and having trouble installing custom rom

Hey guys, hoping someone can save me from having to buy a new phone. I either need to fix it quickly or replace it quickly cause my job depends on having one.
I have a Moto 9 g plus.
I wanted to root my phone for a long time and today I decided to try since the Android 11 update ****ed up the camera on my phone anyway.
I followed this guide here
Root Motorola Moto G9 Plus Android 10 using TWRP and Install Magisk
When you have Stock Android on your mobile, You are almost free from bloatware apps. Even if your manufacturer put some apps, You can get rid of them in
www.androidinfotech.com
Everything seemed to be going well except that I couldn't get magisk to install, I kept getting errors in twrp.
I ended up installing the apk for magisk and used it to modify the boot file. I installed the image in twrp and on reboot, it went into a boot loop. I could go back to trwp and after swiping to factory reset, it broke the loop when I restart the phone. The problem is that now it just goes straight to the menu that you normally need to press and hold down and power to go to. I never did get to confirm if my phone was successfully rooted or not, I'm guessing no, and that that is the main problem now, as the phone won't boot up to where I can use apps, and if it isn't rooted, from what I understand, I can't install another rom?
Also, whenever I'm finished with twrp, when I press to reset it says something like "Phone no longer has OS, are you sure you want to reboot?". I read it is from wiping the data or factory reset, but I didn't actually wipe any internal memory, I can still view all files on it and on my sd card.
Maybe you guys can confirm my suspicions that I just ****ed up my phone for good or not.
This is what the error says when I attempted to install a rom, I tried with lineage and arrowos and I don't believe the problem is with the roms.
