I know this sucks, I couldn't get any zip updates to work either. Go here for an explanation on how to convert 2.5 zips to 3.0 zips that will work on CWM3... This is what I have been doing to install stuff on CWM3.

You could install all your zip's through bootmenu 1.4_2 too (after apply CM7, flash gapps, swype, gps_fix, etc), do that next time you install CM7.

Hello guys, first time I used my xoom, I get nasty and removed lots of stock apps that came with him. I cannot provide all the apps that has been removed because I have no idea. But one of them its the Citrix receiver.
Yesterday I received the message that a new upgrade is avaliable (ICS 4.0.4) from Motorola. Ok, I was happy but it takes short time, I couldn´t install the update. (It was rooted by the method of Dan). I emailed him and he sen´t me the unroot kit, it do worked but....
before the unroot, I alread had made an Factory reset, but the apps removed wasnt there. So I tried the method of put the .zip on the SDCard and applying an update by the recover. So this method says to me that there is an error - apply patch check ... citrixreceiver. and I cant update in this way also.
So after I made a Factory reset, the message from Motorola about the update isnt showing anymore even if I look for updates.
My question is, Should I put back all the apks removed or Its best I install a stock rom? Any clues?

Hello! Sorry for the broken english, I´m brazilian and not fluent in english, but I think you will understand me.
I buyed 2 Homtom's HT16 (with MT6580) to my parents via Gearbest and have tried and tried and cannot get rid of the factory viruses on this phone! It install apps without asking (8 of them, sometimes more), constantly slow down the phone until it become completely useless.
Antiviruses dont solve the problem, even in security mode I cannot get rid of the viruses so I decided to change the ROM (I know the process, I´m used to change in my own phones).
Please, help me! I cant afford to buy other phones to my parents and I am totally los in the 4PDA russian forum (the only place I found some custom ROM).
Dont matter what android version, if it is clean, functional and able to run simple apps (whatsapp, youtube, netflix, chrome and facebook) it will be sufficient!

What I have done already:
-Flashed TWRP on Nubia X
-Kind of Flashed MokeeOS custom ROM
-Flashed GApps
-Flashed SuperSU
I bought my Nubia X from CECT Shop in 2018 and it was already Flashed with GApps.
The OEM update function didn't work from the beginning.
I have NubiaUI v2.16 installed but for MokeeOS i would need at least v3.05.
Anyone can help me here?

Also it appears to me that the Phone can't succesfully update the SMSC.

But im still trying to understand what this NubiaUI is doing. Is it still present even if i will flash an completely new OS?

I think if there is no fix i will stick to my setup right now as it works very well.
The only things I miss are working SMS and the ability to turn off visibility for Bluetooth.
Is there a way to implement that bluetooth thing?
I do not remember why, i think sometime i didn't receive sms but i use a third party sms app, chomp sms for me. Don't forget to unoptimize battery for the app(maybe it's the problem with the mokee app)
