Stock Android 7.0 (Nougat) for the Moto X Pure 2015 XT1575 US NPH25.200-22
TWRP Recovery Image (Includes /boot and /system only)
**Factory reset after restore is advised.**
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B2lKWOIH0bTqc29NbVNWWWhsYVE?usp=sharing
**Not tested coming straight from stock 6.0 MPH24.49-18-16.**
I did an incremental OTA upgrade from stock 6.0 MPH24.49-18-8.
Use at your own risk. If you have TWRP installed your warranty is void anyway. I'm not responsible for bricking your device.
worked great for me 18-16 thanks really appropriate the work

Yes. Root is nonconsequential. You really just need twrp.
Can i just flash it over TruPureX Android 6?
(I guess i can, just want to be sure)
Where can I find Android 7 modem to flash separately?
Will it work with Android 6 modem?

No Nougat modem is available until the flashable (non OTA) full stock 7.0 rom is made available from Motorola. This is not likely to happen. No issues have been mentioned running this update on a 6.0 modem. Not sure what the advantages are honestly. I never had problems with bt, wifi, or calls with the 6.0 modem firmware.
Create a backup beforehand and you can always go back to it.

Hi talk about u experience
Greetings, it counts as you did, I have android 6.0 mphs24.49-18-16 and I can not update. Phone with bootloader unlocked and with twrp, no root
I get "invalid ZIP file format" using TWRP 3.1.1-0 on an XT1575. Was running lineageOS 14.1 but I wiped system and data before trying to install the zip. On my laptop I can open the ZIP fine and extract the files, but that doesn't help.

The OP will need to comment - he may be coming from a rooted stock ; at least according the the thread noted above - if you have installed a custom ROM ; there are other steps besides just trying to flash this
I have NOT tried the OP's method or the referenced thread - so I cannot really speak from experience ; just pointing out other resources that have additional information -
Will this work with XT1572? Just confirming.
This is not a traditional TWRP zip file. It is a backup file. You need to unzip it and put it in the backup directory. You then restore backup, choose the nph25-200-22. . . directory, and away you go!

Well it worked, sort of. It booted to stock but it wasn't stable and the play store kept crashing, I tried all the usual stuff for that, clear services & play store data, uninstall updates, finally tried a factory reset and now I'm stuck in TWRP bootloop, even if I reinstall this image.
So very much YMMV.

Today I flashed Pixel Experience GSI on my whyred after much trouble so here is a guide to make things clear.
if you are coming from MIUI you have to format data from twrp. this is a must to disable encryption.
after you are done formatting data. just do factory reset from twrp and then go to advanced wipe and then do the regular dalvik, cache, system, data and then swipe to wipe.
now the thing is whyred officially supports treble but the implementation is shoddy according to XDA folks. so if you flash GSI over miui's vendor there will be many bugs. like brightness slider not working and many things. so they(all credit goes to them) created a vendor zip which makes things really good. there are no bugs and it also supports volte. here is the download link .
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=273660
now flash this zip file in twrp.
after that download the GSI of your choice from here.
https://github.com/phhusson/treble_experimentations/wiki/Generic-System-Image-(GSI)-list
remember to download arm64 A only system image.
here is pixel experience GSI which I prefer:
https://download.pixelexperience.org/treble_gsi/
now extract the zip and you will get a single .IMG file which is your system image. now go to twrp and then go to install then go to select install image downward. (don't flash directly, it's an .IMG file) then select the extracted .IMG file and then choose system and then flash.
then reboot system. that's it. you should boot fine.
download latest official twrp from here: https://dl.twrp.me/whyred
if you want root you will have to flash magisk beta 16.6 which works better on GSI. download here.
https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases/download/v16.6/Magisk-v16.6.zip
to use Google camera you will have to enable camera2api. arnova's gcam doesn't work on this build. you will have to use BSG's gcam. here is the link. enable nexus style and active portrait mode from settings.
https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/f/MGC_5.2.022.apk
few tips: if your device is not booting and going to fastboot, flash magisk. it will definitely boot up.
if your device shows decryption failed, just format data from twrp. it will delete all user data btw.
no need to flash lazyflasher.
there are no uncertified device pop up from Google. so no need to worry.
playstore shows uncertified btw and magisk shows CTS false.
all the links that I have linked here, the credit goes to the creators. I am a normal user of XDA. thanks to them.
happy flashing and all hail the XDA lords.
How is Pixel experience gsi though?....faced any bugs till now?
it's good but there where few bugs. anyway pixel experience rom specifically for whyred has been released. you can flash that. it's great and bug free. download it here. it's not GSI though. normal ROM.

I was on the June build, I had issues with bluetooth audio (didn't work) and USB connection to computer (did not work). I think the USB issue was due to Magisk but I never did figure out the bluetooth issue.
No issues with the whyred version of Pixel Experience.
I also faced the same issue. But I see July build of GSI is up so those bugs might be fixed. anyway the PE ROM for whyred is excellent.
btw GSI will help us when P will release next month.

So should I flash the ROM or the gsi?....are there any differences?
you should flash the ROM as it's specifically for whyred. its flashing instruction is different than GSI. but easy. just wipe and then flash the ROM. and reboot. that's it.
you may have to format data to disable encryption.

Thanks mate for your experience, no detailed information in PE thread about wipes to do, before or after, can help with it? May be also with magisk release to install and best gcam to use?
remove all security like fingerprint, pattern etc.
go to twrp
go to wipe
do factory reset
go to advanced wipe
select dalvik, cache, system and data and then wipe
go to install
flash the pixel experience rom
reboot to system
that's it
if you get a prompt to enter password to start android then you will have to go back to twrp and go to wipe and format data and type yes. it will delete all your files btw. so backup everything. then reboot it will boot up fine.
after you have done booting and set up, go back to twrp and flash magisk v16. reboot to system. all done.
I have already given details of gcam in my OP. Kindly check that. The same works great on this ROM.
ask me if you face any problem. happy to help ?

You are the man!!! 10 hours remaining for unlock bootloader, i'm ready and now, with your help, more confident... Thanks a lot!!
I understand your excitement but do check your build whether you are on Anti rollback. if you are on 9.5.19 you should absolutely not proceed right now.
read about it on XDA.

[dupe sorry]
You should by all means read about antirollback to be sure, but my understanding is that the antirollback refers to the firmware, not the rom. MIUI roms all include different firmware, so you can't rollback a MIUI rom (unless it's been modded to be firmwareless). But as far as I know, no custom roms include firmware, so you should be fine even if your firmware is ARB triggered if all you're doing is installing custom roms.
Hi, someone flashed latest Pie Phh GSI? I tried with PE CAF, AOSIP, and Mokee vendors but doesn't boot, always stuck at the Mi logo, even I flashed the permissiver patch without luck.
Is GSI better than respective Rom (say Havoc GSI as compared to Havoc OS rom)?

Hi guys
I was trying some of custom rom on my OP6 and I wanted to go back to Oxygen OS. So i did a clean installation with system wipe and i flashed the last full OTA update. But since i can't boot to system anymore, TWRP always displays that there is no OS installed despite the fact that I've tried several rom . Is this the first time it's done this to me how can I fix it?

The best suggestion I can give you is to flash stock oos with TWRP, reboot to stock recovery, without flashing anything else, wipe data from stock recovery and startup system.. if it is working you can flash back TWRP and magisk if you need it
Just be careful because at your point is easy to lose all of your stored data

If you wipe system, then flash oos ROM, TWRP will think there is no os. You can just ignore and boot.
Wiping system then flashing any time will make twrp display "no os installed" it does this because it hasn't created files for twrp to check if you have a ton installed. Flashing twrp then rebooting to twrp fixes it.
Reboot to stock recovery?

Hi, need a little bit of support, since I'm new to this as well. I was in a working OOS open beta 25/28, but then I think I flashed the wrong zip (OOS 9.0.9?), and I was not able to boot to system. It kept going to "bootloader unlocked" screen and custom recovery. Currently in TWRP blu_spark 3.3.1-x v. 9.109, and it's showing me no OS installed when I attempt to reboot. I haven't rebooted to system yet.
All the folders in my /sdcard is gibberish... if I try to push a file to it, it says "Required key not available." I did remove all security/passwords from my phone before doing any updates/backups.
I completed a wipe cache/dalvik/system via TWRP, and flashed the OOS OTA stable Android 10 zip downloaded directly from OnePlus Support. Considering this situation, do you still think it's safe for me to reboot to system? Then how do I get to stock recovery from there--is that by holding down the buttons?

No, your internal storage Is like trash cause the last rom you flashed has older security patch than oos10. Your device Is now encrypted and wont boot to system. I Guess you have to erase all via MSN tool or fastboot signed rom. Even if you wiped what mentioned above, your problem still be the data.
Fastboot method?

Thank you for replying. I'm relieved that you know of a couple methods to try.
Is using "Format Data" in TWRP an option for dealing with the encryption??
For the MSN tool, can I use this one? Tried looking around, but it's unclear. "[TOOL] MsmDownloadTool V4.0 International (Oxygen OS 5.1.5)" https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...wnloadtool-v4-0-international-t3798892/page10
I would be more comfortable with using fastboot, but am I at any risk of having lost fastboot, or can I just turn off my device from TWRP right now and hold down the buttons to get there? Afraid to move out of TWRP right now, in case I can't get back. I do have twrp-3.3.1-18-enchilada-Q-mauronofrio.img that I can run from fastboot if needed.
By "signed rom," do you mean I can simply flash one of the zips here from fastboot? "[OnePlus 6][ROM][OTA][Oxygen OS] Mirrors for official Oxygen OS ROMs and OTA updates" https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6/how-to/oneplus-6-mirrors-official-oxygen-os-t3792244

That's awesome, I'm starting to grasp how much of a genius Mauronofrio is, after so many people referencing his work.
In his guide, he says, "These ROMs can't be used to update or downgrade your phone but just to restore your phone, so don't use them to come back to oreo or to update from oreo to pie." This may be a dumb question, but how do I know which zip/OOS version to flash, when I don't have a functioning OS on my phone?

That worked! And starstruck that you were able to check that with him. I flashed Mauronofrio's fastboot ROM for 10.3.2 and it rebooted (WOW). I clicked through the Google setup pages and checked that my data and wifi worked.
I then went back into fastboot, booted M's twrp img, fomatted data, and then installed twrp-3.3.1-x_blu_spark_v9.109_op6.zip, rebooted into recovery.
Then I think I made a mistake, because I installed Magisk-v20.4.zip. It succeeded, but now I can't boot into system anymore. Is it too late to flash the 10.3.2 boot.img?

I followed that thread for the first A10 release cause there wasn't a worked twrp yet. You are welcome man, when I feel myself usefull I always try to help.
Hi,
I recently installed kosp on my device and rooted my device. I tried to install twrp (without any success), but after multiple tries, it seems I broke something.
I can't update anything, it seems the a partition of my device is broken :
if I try to install the update, my phone boots on the a partition and jumps immediately to the bootloader (no recovery nor system).
I tried to hard brick retore my phone twice with no luck yet.
If you have any idea on how to fix this issue, it would be much appreciated.
If not, I'll try to hardbrick restore this device once more....
Thanks !
Please read the thread before posting:
Upgrading:
It is recommended to update using updater
Via recovery:
Reboot to recovery
Sideload with ADB (preferred)
Reboot to recovery
Reboot
Via updater app:
Open Settings -> System -> KOSP Updater
Download the ota if available or if you have already downloaded the zip then use it for local upgrade
Install the update
Flash magisk to inactive slot (optional)
(optional) Reboot to recovery if you have anything else to flash
Reboot
Just use MSMTool and do a clean/fresh install.
After that. Read the OP in KOSP thread how to update. And i think u cant use TWRP with KOSP.

Thanks, tried that already, sorry if I wasn't clear, but that's not working.

Just use MSMTool and do a clean/fresh install.
After that. Read the OP in KOSP thread how to update. And i think u cant use TWRP with KOSP.

That's what I'm trying to avoid if possible...
But why? This will take you 30-60 min and u have a fresh 7 Pro with KOSP on it.

Ok, so I ended up doing that, but I'm still facing the same issue : when the device tries to boot on the a partition, I'm just immediately sent to the bootloader and have to run "fastboot --set-active=b" to reboot into my system...
KK...Don´t know were the error is. I did install KOSP and ArrowOS both 2 times to test wich rom is the best for me.
I did not having any issue with the install on both of them.
But as spinoza23 said.
Do it like the OP post and you should not have any issue.
Maybe make a post in KOSP thread if u think it is a general Rom issue.
Have you tried flashing the recovery to both slots in fastboot screen? In your case, fastboot flash boot boot.img --slot all
Ensure you're using the kosp recovery boot.img. After that, cycle the volume key to recovery then factory reset. Then adb sideload the kosp zip
I use this method all the time and avoid using twrp. Then since you already did the effort of getting the boot img, just patch it. If you really want to use twrp, just use the fbev2 version to flash things like magisk or kernels. Just boot the twrp.img though not flash. I hope this helps. Currently on derp12. I was daily driving kosp12 for a while with the patched boot and using gpay with no issues.
If you can boot to bootloader than you should be fine. A reliable way of installing roms is using the payload dumper and flashing boot.img, dtbo.img, odm.img, system.img, vbmeta.img, and vendor.img.
Thanks, I tried what you propose, unfortunately, still the same result : can't boot to a partition, which means no update possible...

maybe use the msm tool take it down to 9 and ota back up to 11 if you havent tried already, just a thought
Solved :
What I had to do :
use msmtool to go back to android 9
update to android 10's latest official build through the updater
update to android 11's latest beta build using oxygenos updater
update to kosp 2.2 using the provided fastboot sequence
update to kosp 2.3 using kosp updater
Took me the afternoon but seems to be working fine now !
My guess is, the device was not ready for a jump from android 9/10 to 12 directly or something...
Thanks for the help
So yeah you actually never said that u are on A9 or A10 release. I mean it is in the KOSP thread that you need 11.0.4 or the lastest A11.
Do you know that there are "newer" MSMTool builds than A9? Makes things easy.

I can't wait to start this! THANK YOU THANK YOU!
Okay so, I followed all your instructions, and the phone actually completed all installs completely fine.
However.............My phone automatically boots into TWRP now every time. Unsure if I should wipe out all and start over?

I used TWRP to manually boot SLOT A and it kept going to TWRP, then I switched to slot B and I'm in a boot loop. Should I wipe and attempt reimage?
use windows_fastboot_first_install_with_data_format for first install from China ROM..
Okay, so stupid move on my part.
I had TWRP setup to patch all ROMs that are newly installed with Magisk. So it was booting into TWRP. I set all my TWRP settings back to default and it seems to be booting now.
Excellent new. I don't have this phone yet but would absolutely love feedback for this ROM?
If users could kindly share their feedback that would be amazing.
Battery life?
Camera improvements?
Software bug fixes?
Does Google drive backup/restore work?
How would one do software updates if running the EU ROM? Will they come OTA? Or does it have to be manual installation?
Any improvements/changes please mention , thank you !
Awesome work @Xiaomi.EU Team!!! .... quick and easy installation, ROM is flawless & Works perfectly.

Is it valid for S12 Ultra too or is it a copy/paste of the Mi 11 Ultra post ?

valid of course..
I just installed EU ROM and wanted to give some first feedbacks..
Generally.. Excellent ROM. Pretty much everything works smoothly and so far no problems found.
No problems with banking apps, safetynet OK, Twpr already installed and working.
NFC, Bluetooth, WiFi, Network.. Everything works properly.
OK with Google Maps, Google Pay (I don't use it but opened the app and seem to work OK).
No delay with notifications.
I still have to try Google Auto, but I see that the App is already installed as system app (I will give feedback when I have tried).
The only problem so far is with Revolut App (not able to upload selfie on authentication) but this was so already on CN version and is probably a problem on App side. Would be interesting to find a workaround.
Excellent work by this great people!! Well done!
PS: I decided not to root so far my device

P.S. Will this require another wipe and reinstall, or could we retain data when upgrading?
