Call History - is there an app to show call date and time for each call - Google Pixel 4a Questions & Answers

I'm looking for a way to show each call's date and time. Is there an app for that?
EDIT - Verizon stock

I'm interested in this question : I record my call with Skvalex's Call Recorder, so I can get those informations from here, but I'd rather get them directly from the call app.

I might install Skvalex's Call Recorder just for the history date and time. I don't care if it actually records the conversation which I read is a problem with non-rooted phones.
I downloaded it from their website instead of the store

It's hard to believe that phone lacks such a basic feature. All the Samsung's I've used have it.

At least on A10, on the center "Recents" tab it will show the date - if you want the time, tap the call you want then tap "History".
Another way is from that same tab, click the top right 3 dots, then call history, tap call, then "Call Details".
But if you are looking for a list of all the call date/times already displayed, then I agree the default phone app doesn't make it easy to see which calls came in on which date.

I dont see the issue. If I go into my call history (of my stock dialler), click on a call which then expands to show a sub menu, which I can then click on "history", which has all the dates/times to that number.

How to fix the Call timer for 1.5 and 1.6 - Call history

Now the call history just shows the number, date. Does not have the time.
Can anyone fix it?
Also with the SMS, the SMS of the day ago will not show the time, just the date.
I installed the Handcet SMS but it will slow down my phone
Thanks
If you use Sense UI you go to the call history and it shows you the missed calls and the people/numbers there are from. There is a little icon on the right (a square with a phone symbol) and if you press that it shows you the details (duration, date and time of call)
Hope it helps

Thank so much.
With this, I won't need to install the Dialer App.

[Q] Sending specific calls directly to voicemail?

Hello. I just received my Galaxy S 4G today and I was wondering if there is some way for me to send certain contacts directly to voicemail like I could on my previous phones? I've looked all around and couldn't find it.
Possibly a great app if it's not available?
Thanks for the help everyone.
_edit_ for the record I tried this:
From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
Tap Settings.
Tap Call settings.
Tap All calls.
Tap Auto reject.
Tap Auto reject list.
Tap Add number.
Enter desired number.
Tap Save.
but that doesn't send the calls to voicemail, and then it shows that I missed 12 calls from that specific number at one time. It's crazy. I need it to go to voicemail specifically. Thanks.
On any given contact if you bring up the menu, you'll see the option to add to ignore list. However, I have other issues. I have 5 contacts called Spam, and between them there are more than 100 numbers. After adding the third contact to the ignore list, I got a message saying that I had crossed 100 limit and that I must delete some entries to make space. This is annoying. I wish someone figures a way to send a contact straight to voicemail.
Ah miui allows u to black.list calls n send them to. Voicemail
Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda app-developers app
or just search google play... using, um... google

EDIT: "maybe some of them can kick directly to vm" is what I left out.

[Q] Sense 3.0 is short of features 2.0

I have noticed that in Sense 3.0 there is no longer available a feature that was in place in version 2.0. I mean the automated SMS when getting a call. It means when getting a call and touching the options button there was possibility (in Sense 2.0) to send a SMS with pre-set text. Now the options button doesn't work at all. You can only receive or deny a call or mute the ringing by pressing the side volume buttons. That's all. I am quite disappointed to lose this option because the automated SMS was very handy thing which I used quite often when I could not receive calls (during meetings, negotiations etc.).
Can you please check that the feature is indeed dead in 3.0? Or do you have any tricks?
Thx.
Just a side note, having branded O2 Desire S with 2.3.5 and Sense 3.0, no root no S-off. I am just an ordinary user.
I am an ordinary user as well, same version, same 3.0, but from other country.
What I see :
If your phone is active when a call comes -- you still has a chance to decline the call with preset message.
If not -- you can not decline the call.
I think it is a mistake of HTC
Thx Vpp20 for info.
That's right you can send the automated SMS when the phone is up but you can't do that if the phone is in standby/sleeping mode what in Sense 2.0 was possible. It looks really like a bug.
hi to all also has that "bug" but iv noticed that when I receive sms with number in it,after clickin on that number only optio is to call it,on the sense 2.1 you had option to open contact etc, etc.
In fact - no
It depends on where you tap
If you tap on phone number - you get a dialing screen
If you tap on contact name, you get a full menu:
- send
- call
- open contact
- forward
- get message info
- delete
- copy to SIM card
- block the message

[Q] Reject Call Text

Hey gang,
Long time no see. Just made the leap to the One X and have a few questions. Here the first...
When receiving an incoming call, the screen could be unlocked, or it could be locked.
If it's unlocked, there doesn't seem to be an option to reject a call and send the default SMS to the caller - either with one click, or a two (actually THREE)-step process as below.
If it's locked, you're offered the multi-step process of dragging the reject icon into the lock ring, then the UI offers you the send text option that, when selected, doesn't just send the default reject SMS, but rather asks you to pick one from your quick text list, then send it. It doesn't even default to your like, default...?
Weird thing is, there's a place to define the text for your default call reject SMS in the phone settings.
So. Where am I going wrong?

As long as we're discussing it, it also seems that the response-text will only go out through the default messaging app - there isn't any way to use GV. Any ideas?

Nexus 5 Marshmallow incoming calling screen

My contact settings include photos in the phone app.
When those people call me their caller ID and number are shown on the incoming calling screen but not their photo.
I note that if I disable the default phone app and use a 3rd party app (True Phone), there is no caller screen at all, just ringing. Therefore, there is no way to answer the phone. So, the default phone app has to run and the incoming calling screen must be generated by that app. However, I cannot find the setting and of course I can't find any setting for including the photos.
Could someone please help me include the photos of contacts in the incoming calling screen?
Thanks
On my phone with Android 7.0, I can set a photo for a contact only if the contact info is saved in phone other than in SIM card.
After a contact photo has been set, the photo will be shown on the incoming calling screen.
I don't believe that I am using contacts from SIM but the phone.
But, how do I tell?
I can't find that setting either.
I am using Android V6.0.1 (Marshmallow).
Edit: Just noticed that a picture is indeed showing but it is so dark that I didn't notice it before. However, I also notice on the picture there is a word written saying "Unknown" in the middle of the picture. What does that mean?
Just updated the stock Phone app and the picture now shows correctly.
However, the sticking problem of the "Unknown" is still shown.
I have attached a screenshot of the phone's call screen showing the picture and the word "Unknown" in the middle". I have blurred the phone number and street name.
Hope this helps someone point me to find the cause of this.

If all your incoming calls are showing as unknown, contact your service provider and ask if there is a problem with your account (service?) as it may not be a problem in your phone.
But if only incoming calls from some particular contact are showing as unknown, contact this guy and ask if he/she has hidden his/her caller id in his/her phone settings.
For example, setting to turn off Caller ID on a Huawei P9 as below.
Open Phone app,
then tap Menu icon > Settings > Additional Settings > Caller ID > Hide Number
Be aware that the number is only hidden on Voice calls not on SMS/MMS.
I think I may have tracked down the problem.
It's not the account or service provider.
I use a 3rd party lock screen (Start). I didn't think about looking at this because the incoming caller screen is generated by the default google phone app. But, if I disable the Start lock screen and go to the default screen the incoming caller screen does not have the "Unknown" banner. Therefore, I believe that the Start lock screen intercepts the incoming caller screen and inserts the "Unknown" banner for some reason. I am unable to find any setting in Start to remove this so I have emailed the authors and now have to wait for their response.
While I am on the incoming caller screen, where can I find the settings for the incoming caller screen?
