Question regarding bloatware apps - Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC Questions & Answers

Do we have a really reliable list of bloatware apps, i.e. one in which only apps appear that do not have an unpleasant impact on functionality or cause possible malfunctions? Had tested the one from the forum, but had side effects....

Maybe we could start by saying which ones gave you those side effects... if everyone who debloats chimes in, that list will be up in no time.
For the time being, what we have to work with are these threads:
[GUIDE] Debloat Poco X3 NFC safe app list [MIUI Global12.0.8 Stable]
As a thank you to everyone who kept posting articles about debloating MIUI, I want to share a list of safe to remove apps for Poco X3 NFC [MIUI Global 12.0.8 Stable]. Note that I use Mi Home and Aqara apps, so I had to keep some of the Xiaomi...

MIUI comes with a lot of unecessary apps, some are just there for ads, and some are android system apps that you can't uninstall or disable There will be some slightly different apps between variants I'm on MIUI GLOBAL 12.0.2 I used Xiaomi ADB...

Yes I know these threads, I'm just pretty unsure which deletions have side effects because they aren't showing up directly.
for example, what is this app doing?

Okay. With disabled com.xiaomi.misettings you cannot change the refresh rate anymore. I turned it on again.

You need to review each apk you are going to disable as some are useful and some have dependencies that you will learn of latter
Each user and device have different needs; one size doesn't fit all!
You should take the time to develop your own app management strategy like the creators of these lists have.
Using a package disabler works a lot better because some you want to be able to easily toggle on/off.
It's also useful for troubleshooting... including the issues you create by inadvertently blocking an apk you need

[GUIDE] [No Root] Disable System Apps & Bloatware: Package Disabler Pro - T-Mobile
The following instructions will remove much of the clutter from system apps & bloatware that you aren't able to disable through the default Application Manager. These are all safe to disable and have not caused me any issues. I've had these apps disabled for several weeks now.
1// Go to the Play Store and download Package Disabler Pro: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ospolice.packagedisablerpro&hl=en
2// Download the ZIP attached to this post to your phone. The filename is "disabledpackages.zip". Extract the XML file from the ZIP. The filename is "disabledpackages.xml".
3// Open Package Disabler Pro, tap the 3 dots menu on the top right and select "Import from xml". Tap "Select" and navigate to the "disabledpackages.xml" file you extracted. Click "Import"
4// Profit. Better battery life. Less apps in Launcher.

As always, very interested in feedback from the community on additional packages that are safe to disable.
I might suggest to anyone that does this to remember to re-enable everything if they are about to root their phones because it might cause complications otherwise.

[GUIDE] Sideloading Google Apps - 100% WORKING! (ROOT)

I've finally managed to destroy all of the Google glitches on Fire OS after much troubleshooting and many factory resets. This guide will show you how to permanently fix the following issues:
Gmail closing after right after opening
Google Contacts not pulling your contacts
Google Calendar not pulling your calendar
This requires some patience.
Reported Bugs:
Gmail crashes when opening an attachment in an email and some users are speculating it's the Amazon Download Manager causing the crash. I'm looking into it.
Requirements:
Root (This easy guide shows you how to root your 7th generation Fire HD)
Fire OS 5.6.0.0
Fire HD (2017)
ADB (Optional, this 'Lite' package is officially provided by Google)
Basic knowledge of ADB commands
Downloads:
Google Account Manager (You have to download this specific one since it's the last one compatible with Lollipop!)
Google Services Framework (You have to download this specific one since it's the last one compatible with Lollipop!)
Google Play Services (It's okay to download the latest version!)
Google Play Store (It's okay to download the latest version!)
Google Calendar Sync (You have to download this specific one since it's the last one compatible with Lollipop!)
Google Contacts Sync (You have to download this specific one since it's the last one compatible with Lollipop!)
Link2SD
Titanium Backup
Gboard
Step 1: Enable install of "Apps from Unknown Sources":
Go to Settings > Security and enable “Apps from Unknown Sources”. This will allow you to sideload the Google APKs that you'll need in order to install the Google Play store onto your Fire HD.
Step 2: Download and install these APKs in sequence: (I've included their package names below so they are easier to locate in the Fire HD Docs app!)
Google Account Manager - com.google.android.gsf.login
Google Services Framework - com.google.android.gsf
Google Play Services - com.google.android.gms
Google Play Store - com.android.vending
Google Calendar Sync - com.google.android.syncadapters.calendar_5.2.3-99827563-release-2015080710_minAPI15(nodpi)
Google Contacts Sync - com.google.android.syncadapters.contacts_5.1.1-1965118-22_minAPI22(nodpi)_apkmirror.com
Step 3: Setting up Google Play & downloading applications:
Open Google Play Store and login to your Google account
Download all of your Google applications like Gmail, Gboard, Calendar, Contacts, Photos, Rewards, and etc.
Don't setup Gmail just yet
Make Gboard your default keyboard by disabling Fire Standard Keyboard - adb shell pm disable com.amazon.redstone
Download Link2SD
Download Titanium Backup
Step 4: Extra Gmail steps: (This is temporary until the crashing bug has been eliminated)
Open Gmail but don't do anything else yet
Set Fire HD to "Airplane mode" or just disconnect from wireless
Now go to your Gmail Settings
Choose your Gmail account in the next page
Scroll down to Data Usage and uncheck "Download attachments"
Set Days of mail to sync to 10 days
Step 5: Avoid any bootloops by eliminating this potential roadblock with Titanium Backup or ADB:
Code:
adb shell pm disable com.amazon.redstone
Step 6: Now you're going to need to free up some space within the /system partition. Remove these applications via Titanium Backup or ADB:
Kindle Special Offers - adb shell pm uninstall com.amazon.kindle.kso
Kid's Silk Web Browser - adb shell pm uninstall com.amazon.cloud9.kids
Fire Keyboard (Asian) - adb shell pm uninstall jp.co.omronsoft.iwnnime.mlaz
Calendar - adb shell pm uninstall com.android.calendar
Contacts - adb shell pm uninstall com.android.contacts
Fire Tutorial - adb shell pm uninstall com.amazon.kcp.tutorial
Fire Keyboard Simplified Chinese Pack - adb shell pm uninstall jp.co.omronsoft.iwnnime.languagepack.zhcn_az
Amazon Retail Demo - adb shell pm uninstall com.amazon.kor.demo
Home Screen Tips - adb shell pm uninstall com.android.protips
Music - adb shell pm uninstall com.android.music
My Videos - adb shell pm uninstall com.amazon.kindle.personal_video
Amazon Cloud Photos - adb shell pm uninstall com.amazon.photos
Weather - adb shell pm uninstall com.amazon.weather
Email - adb shell pm uninstall com.android.email
Amazon Cloud Photos Importer - adb shell pm uninstall com.amazon.photos.importer
Kingsoft Office Bull**** - adb shell pm uninstall com.kingsoft.office.amz
Step 7: Open up Link2SD and go to User Applications. Convert the following apps into system apps:
Google
Google Play Store
Google Contacts
Google Contacts Sync
Google Calendar Sync
Step 8: Last step:
Reboot through Link2SD or ADB. All Google apps should function normally afterwards.

Can't download app from AppStore
I Can't download app from AppStore. My kindle show : There are no apps to install, since your administration hastn't made any available to you yet.
Was so excited to see this but after doing this all to a T Gmail still crashes if I open on email with an attachment...
Oh no!
I forgot to mention to disable the automatic download of attachments in Gmail and set the sync interval to 10 days. Make sure Gmail is force closed, data cleared and on airport mode when you do change the your Gmail account settings.
Let me know if that works!

Thanks. But just tried all that and same issue. As soon as I open an email with an attachment, it crashes. Others have looked into this and it has something to do with Gmail not working with Amazon download manager I think.

That's temporary, right? Just when making gmail system app?

Quick question. What's is this "Amazon download manager" thing? Since Gmail is not working with Amazon download manager is there a chance to replace the Amazon download manager?
That's what I'm thinking. It seems this download manager is the root of this mess. I'm going to look into it.

Don't know much beyond what I said. Just quoting what others have observed.

I believe I was one of the first noting this being the issue (but if not, it's not the point...). This was before I looked into how download managers worked and I thought we could just get another download manager from another device and replace it, or tweak some code, and make it work. Unfortunately I realized that download managers are very device specific with multiple dependencies. Getting another one to work will be as hard as coding one from the ground up. I don't think it'll be possible in the near future to go this route and make things work. I'll personally bet on us finding an exploit to unlock bootloader and get custom roms first before we can get another download manager working...
This doesn't work for me:
4. Make Gboard your default keyboard by disabling Fire Standard Keyboard - adb shell pm disable com.amazon.redstone
also it's a little odd that further down the list there's this:
Step 5: Avoid any bootloops by eliminating this potential roadblock with Titanium Backup or ADB:
adb shell pm disable com.amazon.redstone
Why is it in there twice? Why would removing the kindle keyboard prevent bootloops?
When I try it, the display just flashes crazily until I enable it again!
You can just choose Google keyboard to be default in the tablet setting. Works fine for me.
Only made it to step 3. I hit play store and it just crashed to home screen instantly with a white flash. I verified root is working and can see Titanium backup using root in the logs and such. Where'd i mess up, any guesses?
Welp...I've tried everything. Followed instructions to the letter. I open playstore to get into my account and all it does is crash back to the home screen. I'm just on the edge of getting the hammer. 64g 2017 will go cheap if I give up. (likely)
Several factory resets to no avail.
Thanks for any help!

Yep - Google made some changes that require components that are not installed via this 'hack'. Neither Amazon not Google have any motivation to address the issue. Fire tablets are designed to be glorified shopping portals to Amazon's ecosystem, not a generic Android gizmo that can run all things Google. Especially on the older Android core (Lollipop!) which FireOS v5 is based. Great while the party lasted.

Download all of your Google applications like Gmail, Gboard, Calendar, Contacts, Photos, Rewards, and etc.
Don't setup Gmail just yet
Make Gboard your default keyboard by disabling Fire Standard Keyboard - adb shell pm disable com.amazon.redstone
Download Link2SD
Download Titanium Backup
Step 4: Extra Gmail steps: (This is temporary until the crashing bug has been eliminated)
Open Gmail but don't do anything else yet
Set Fire HD to "Airplane mode" or just disconnect from wireless
Now go to your Gmail Settings
Choose your Gmail account in the next page
Scroll down to Data Usage and uncheck "Download attachments"
Set Days of mail to sync to 10 days
Step 5: Avoid any bootloops by eliminating this potential roadblock with Titanium Backup or ADB:
Code:
adb shell pm disable com.amazon.redstone
Step 6: Now you're going to need to free up some space within the /system partition. Remove these applications via Titanium Backup or ADB:
Kindle Special Offers - adb shell pm uninstall com.amazon.kindle.kso
Kid's Silk Web Browser - adb shell pm uninstall com.amazon.cloud9.kids
Fire Keyboard (Asian) - adb shell pm uninstall jp.co.omronsoft.iwnnime.mlaz
Calendar - adb shell pm uninstall com.android.calendar
Contacts - adb shell pm uninstall com.android.contacts
Fire Tutorial - adb shell pm uninstall com.amazon.kcp.tutorial
Fire Keyboard Simplified Chinese Pack - adb shell pm uninstall jp.co.omronsoft.iwnnime.languagepack.zhcn_az
Amazon Retail Demo - adb shell pm uninstall com.amazon.kor.demo
Home Screen Tips - adb shell pm uninstall com.android.protips
Music - adb shell pm uninstall com.android.music
My Videos - adb shell pm uninstall com.amazon.kindle.personal_video
Amazon Cloud Photos - adb shell pm uninstall com.amazon.photos
Weather - adb shell pm uninstall com.amazon.weather
Email - adb shell pm uninstall com.android.email
Amazon Cloud Photos Importer - adb shell pm uninstall com.amazon.photos.importer
Kingsoft Office Bull**** - adb shell pm uninstall com.kingsoft.office.amz
Step 7: Open up Link2SD and go to User Applications. Convert the following apps into system apps:
Google
Google Play Store
Google Contacts
Google Contacts Sync
Google Calendar Sync
Step 8: Last step:
Reboot through Link2SD or ADB. All Google apps should function normally afterwards.

Thanks for step 6, is there any more Amazon apps to safely uninstall?

Sharing location on Google maps

I just wondered if it's possible to share location from Google maps and used it on another application like WhatsApp
And another question...is time line working on Google maps? Because for me it's not
Thanks
Google Services Framework is active = location in Google Maps works fine.
now disable Google Services Framework and use the location in other apps.
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.google.android.gsf
adb shell am force-stop com.google.android.gsf
enable Google Services Framework again if you need to update apps from Playstore or location no longer works, than disable again.
adb shell pm enable com.google.android.gsf
Thank you for replying

how to uninstall an android application so that no traces remain on the phone

how to uninstall an android application so that no traces remain on the phone, i mean no roots nothing from these old app can stay in phone...thanks for help
Long press the app icon, tap App Info. Go to Storage and Cache, tap Clear Storage. Then, uninstall the app.
This won't remove any data the app may have stored in shared storage.
