Is there any way to convert .xz files (which are .img.xz) to zip? I'm trying to upload rom, but the rom is .img.xz, but I don't know what to do? Please help!

Hi all, I'm new to this forum...
I need some help...
I've an english H5450, and i want make it italian.
Now I have updated it from PPC2002 ENG to PPC2003 ITA, using this metod:
* Modifty the ROM file, to have a fake "english" ROM,
* Start the upgrade
* It validate the language
* Replace with the correct ROM file
* Flash
Now the iPaq as Italian software, but I can do any official update, becouse he think that it is English (at the boot it say "v. 2.00.3 ENG", and I can read the same in the asset viewer).
I tried to do english update, but now my iPaq speaks italian, englis, and spanish ( :shock: ). Now I'm waiting to re-flash it...
How can I change the language one times forever?
I think that I need to change the asset....
I read that shoul be a command, if I use the "bootloader mode" and send command via mtty.
Or there isa nother way to reflash all?
Please help me!

You will be unlikely to find any answers here as the iPaq H5450 is not manafactured by HTC and is therefore not the topic of discussion in these forums. I'd suggest you search for a forum or user group that caters for iPaq devices. Google is your friend! :wink: Good luck.

The rom calls WMUPDAT.DIP and looking for on the forum I have found the method to turn her into OS.NB. I have extracted the directory Dump. now I have the Italian MUIs (the language that I want to replace Chinese) and I have them overwrite. Have I closed again the Rom then and do I have the OS.NB again. I can directly turn her into WMUPDAT.DIP? (I had felt to speak to remove 2byte with a HEXEditor, when I have to use it?) Can I test the rom with the samWMEmu Kitchen? Do you tell me as does he do?

Why do you want such a rom ? I'm romanian but I use an english one , but with the T9 dictionary set to romanian.

do you want romanian language rom or the orange rom?? because i saw once the orange rom (romanian orange rom) but the language was english ..try search it within forum..
there is a site, mobilewave.ro. you have there a little library of roms, including romanian ones

Umm, this was hard to understand.. I reckon your native language isn't English.. What about telling us what native language you speak and let someone that know that language help you
Did you hardSPL it first? Read the wiki guide. Looks like English isn't your first language, I'm sure there's a translator out there for you (try google translate)
