ButterLimitsButterLimits - Its A Magisk Module with many features that some you can see and some you can only feel by your device usage.
Its A Magisk ROM or Magisk MOD, we can call it anything. But, I am just releasing it in MOD section because I think its a right place for it because Full ROM is a complete ROM with all system files [Big size] and a small part with custom settings and patches or with some apk files can only be mod or a theme. Why its name is ButterLimits? Many of you already heard "ButterSmooth" in Android Developing, but why?, Because of its smooth functions, smooth touch responses and fast working device.
But many times ButterSmooth experience can eat a lot of battery that our device not supposed to. So, when we add some limits to it for a perfect balance between performance and battery backup.....
Then here comes A ButterLimits and yes its for OOS 11 only right now. But if we remove and edit some files then it should also work as A Universal Mod but not all the features that come for OOS 11 and Open Beta (OP7Pro/8Pro)Features:-UI Tweaks-Blur effect in background when pull down notification panel and in some more places.

Downloads-
Before Download please remember some points below:
Developer of ButterLimits will not be responsible for any harm to your device
ButterLimits is not developed to harm any device, but to give your device better
Precautions are in your hands.
Click to collapse
1. ButterLimits is heavily based on Stock Kernel
2. Some VM Tweaks may or may not conflict while using any custom kernel (can or cannot create some issues)
3. ButterLimits on each boot force kernel to use Schedutil Governor.
4. ButterLimits uses CPU/Governor Tweaks for and on Schedutil Governor only.
5. If you change settings from any kernel tweaking app or just change governor, Then assume it that many CPU/Kernel Tweaks (from ButterLimits) are not in use anymore and conflicting.
6. With ButterLimits, If you use any other mod also that contains Kernel/CPU/GPU tweaks that can heavily create issues.
7. ButterLimits Does it's best with Stock Kernel when it's alone.
8. But obviously you can try ButterLimits with different kernels. (But in that can if you get some issues, it will be difficult or impossible for me to solve it)
9. If you have any sound mode then I recommend trying ButterLimits without any sound mod first to experience actual ButterLimits Sound Enhancement, And then later you can do experiments with other mods.
Conclusion:
Don't expect any support if you are on a custom kernel or sound mod.
However, I may help if possible but don't expect it.
But you can get help from other users in a thread.

ButterLimits App
With ButterLimits App, you have some options to test with according to user's need
ButterLimits App only works with an Internet Connection. This will not use any noticeable data.
What does it do with Internet Connection?- Scripts included in App are server-based, so updating the script will fetch the selected option's latest script that is available on the server.
Without Internet Connect, app will not work.
There are 3 steps that a user has to follow-
1. Select - User has to select what he/she wants
2. Update - The user needs to update the latest script from this option
3. Run - User needs to Run this to complete the process, device will reboot after completion.
Available Options and Details:
1-ButterLimits (original) (balanced) - This option will change the script back to the normal/balanced mod that ButterLimits comes with. This will not interfere with any Sound Mod changes.
2 BLBattery Mode - This will give the best battery backup from ButterLimits on the account of some performance. This will not interfere with any Sound Mod changes.
3. BLExtreme Mode - This give you the best Performance/Smooth UI from ButterLimits on the account of some battery backup. This will not interfere with any Sound Mod changes.
4. Remove Enhanced Sound - This will remove sound mode from ButterLimits
5. ReApply Enhanced Sound - This will re-install the sound mod that comes with ButterLimits.
6. Install Custom FP Animations - This will install Custom Fingerprint Animations Substratum Theme packaged by ButterLimits developer, that can be used with Substratum Theme Manager.
7. Remove Complete Doze by ButterLimits - This will remove all Doze tweaks that come with ButterLimits, ButterLimits comes with a lot of Doze work other than just UGMS Doze.
[IMPORTANT- If you have removed the complete doze already then don't run it again otherwise this will remove maximum tweaks from the script and your device can behave as not expected. You can only run this again after reverting all changes from the 8th option]
8. Revert All Changes - This reverts all changes you have made and you will be back on original ButterLimits with everything that comes with ButterLimits by default.
9. Uninstall ButterLimits completely - This will Remove ButterLimits from your device completely including log files.
NOTE: If you have done any changes and need to check or verify what changes you have made since installed, then you can find a file "YourBLchanges.log" in your phone's internal storage.

This has by far been the best experience for me using my 2 year old OnePlus 7. I got annoyed when oxygen os 11 first came around and has major heating and bugs. Later I went on to try multiple custom roms ( which certainly felt much better ) but came with compromises like unstable OOS camera or weak sound output and slow fingerprint.
Then I stumbled upon this mod
And life has been great so far, the phone breathes new life.
Running on top of the latest version of OOS , this magisk module gives me phenomenal ( yea seriously ) battery life without any performance loss. I can now use it all day with just 79% battery health ( which was previously impossible )
Combined with a pixel 5 spoof mod ( for unlimited photos backup )
This has been the experience I've craved for.
I've finally got there

I can not tell you everything What are you waiting for? Try it and find out what's missing features!!
? What is Smart Player, and why I should use it? ?
Smart Player is a new Music Player based on the well known Apollo, I had to use Apollo as base to
speed up my work, but why you need Smart Player to complete the user experience of this mod?
It's simple: you kown the app Trickster Mod right? Well, with trickster you can enjoy all your kernel features,
and with Smart Player you can enjoy all the PureAudio 2.0 features.
There are two version: the free one is like apollo, with just a brand new banner and audio parameters. The 0,99$ version
it's yes like apollo (or at least it resembles the layout) but with a fully enabled PureEQ and some
others battery/memory improvements provided from some android passioned friends, you can verify that
becouse the graphical stock equalizer don't makes any audio changes as explained that, due my custom PureAudio parameters.
The app thread with both downloads links from the Play Store is this, looks the tread if you want more infos.
Anyway, I've spent the last month to working on this app, my latest 4 months to work on this mod and I want
that you, yes, you, will get the full power of PureAudio!

Press and hold for power menu. Pretty cool right. :good:

Open the status bar.Now swipe from left side of screen to the right and the toggles will appear.
3.The Status Bar
The Nemesis Fusion status bar has 3 (Yes!) layouts.
Slide normally down for first layout.
Slide with 2 fingers for 2nd layout.
The 3rd layout has power toggles.See number 2. for instructions.
4.Xposed Framework,GravityBox & serajr Xperia Xposed
Go to the settings .Slide down a little and you would see these apps there.
Install Xposed Framework first !!!
5.Control your CPU , (yes !)
Go to settings , slide down and you will see an app named 'No Frills CPU Control'.
You can use it to control your clock speed and all.
6.Viper Audio FX
Go to settings , slide down and you will see an app named 'Viper Audio Enhancements'.
Click on it , then you can install its drivers and enjoy the enhancements.
7.Beats Audio (Widget Only)

You must have come across a setting in Windows which allows you to configure which apps you want to start/stop at boot.
This is simply its adaptation on android , that too made simple to check boxes.(Yes !)
This option is available in setting, far down.
9.Custom Bootanimation
I guess most of you guyz would be familiar with this but I am writing this for helping.
Navigate to
/system/media/
Here you will see a file named bootanimation.zip.You can replace it with any other custom bootanimation.
10.MTK Engineering Mode
This one is a little hi-fi feature. I recommend standard users not to use this as it can do some irevertible changes .
To open engineering mode, go to dialer and type *#*#3646633#*#*
It will fire up the engineer mode for you.

Gravity box works through the app itself but will force close if you access it through settings.

I don't have time to explore this ROM yet. As mentioned above, GravityBox doesnt work through settings. You need to access the app itself. Also I think the status bar icons are not well spaced.
Anyway here's some screen shots.

You mean no lag right?
You can actually disable quite a lot of apps to get more free ram or use the v6 supercharger script.

Old builds :

(Venom kernel initial maximum edition)
Changelog :
Latest Build (Carnage) (25122017) :
Code:
1) Tweaked poison for more performance. Now you will feel that kernel is much more smooth than ever.
2) Added vibrator engine with real-time linking with poison. You'll feel it when you try yourself and see what this means.
3) Upgraded to dt2w 2.0 with haptic feedback (customisable vibration level) and more efficient structure and checks. My code is 1/3 of original code. Now dt2w is much faster and smoother.
4) Livedisplay fixed thax to painkiller3
5) WiFi autoconnect fixed thax to [user=4948627]@daniel_hk[/user]
6) Open hotspot fixed (use hotspot fix zip by sandeep) with venom
7) Added pocket mode override mechanism. Now you can tap 3 times within 0.8 seconds to override proximity sensor. Number of taps and timeout is customisable with poison.
8) New tunables details :
a) dt2w_vibe : Control vibration level on dt2w. Change to 0 to disable dt2w haptic feedback.
b) vibrator_on_lock : Disables vibrator on screen off completely. Capacitive buttons won't vibrate on screen off, notifications won't vibrate phone on screen off, but calls will turn screen on and then vibrator will activate. This is a good feature for those who want no notification disturbances but also don't want to enable silent mode.
c) pocket_mode_dt2w_override_taps_number : This is the value of the number of taps that you will have to tap within timeout to wake up the screen even in proximity mode.
d) pocket_mode_dt2w_override_taps_timeout : This is the value of the time in milliseconds within which you will have to tap to override pocket mode.
e) dt2w_tap_distance : Merged dt2w_tap_distance_x and _y into a single variable and changed the distance calculation from rectangular linear to circular radial. This us the radius of the circular region with the center as the first tap coordinates, within which you will have to tap second time within timeout to activate dt2w. Easy.
9) Merged x and y distance tunables into a single radius.
10) Enabled 5Ghz WiFi by default (thanks to daniel_hk) (request by [user=4695623]@FPSUsername[/user])
11) Enabled 7 cores while booting. (Thax to gsandeep)

Great Work!
And
Im here for testing your kernel.
Works on stock 6.0 roms?
Or just for 7.0 LOS based?
Is there a posivility having bootloop if normal flashing it kn vibesavon 3.6?

It works on all roms which are compatible with renice kernel.

Same behaviour like renice kernel.
I have mentioned that I don't have device so you can't expect me to tell you anything related to working or not working.
However, since this kernel is based on renice, it will do the exact same things like renice kernel. Think of this kernel as a renice kernel but with some extra features.
Anyone tested this, how the performance after this??

You should try yourself instead of asking others.
Your own opinion matters. :good::highfive:
u did a good job on poison...getting good screen on time...but there's some drawbacks like it lags while trying to play 1080p 60 fps in youtube...and lags while browsing with chrome
yup it's kind of laggy... even while browsing through photos..using es file manager+so on......
I'm in mode 1....I know mode 2 would be smoother....
but I'm liking the battery backup.....is there any possible way to tune up it a little more to get a little more performance +backup balance?

It is quite obvious that battery backup and performance are inverse of each other. Both can't be perfect at the same time. One of them has to be sacrificed for other.
I'm warning you that increasing performance WILL decrease BB.
In case you still want to proceed to a better performance, do following :
1) Change poison tuneable "Awake_ideal_freq" to the max freq (16xx)
2) Or use some more powerful governor. Note that others aren't mtk-specific so battery backup will be less than poison 100%
3) While the step 1 should be enough for faster processing, you may use poison with addition to mode 2.
4) Change ROM to other than compiled nougat ones. They have a lag problem with low cpu frequencies. Marshmallow should be fine.
5) For faster pic loading, it has been tested that fiops iosched performs fastest. Slightly noticable.
6) Use darkness governor as an alternative for slightly performance oriented device.
// Destroy the thanks button on my post and kernel if you like it
Sir, does this kernel support with lenovo a7000 plus? Because i got bootloop when flash the kernel. Not even reaching the boot animation, its just get on the first lenovo logo then just black screen, and sometimes keep rebooting. Really wanted to try it.
device : Lenovo a7000 plus
twrp : 3.1.1-3 when install rom then 3.0.2-7 to install modem patch for a7k plus.
rom : Daniel_hk's latest LineageOs rom, (31oct)

your fastcharging seems to be good too.....I'm using gsandeep's unofficial RR....so far it is the best rom for k3.....
I've changed to mode 2..which is performance oriented ....and performance has increased..... but I thought is there any tweak to be made for tweaking mode 1...for slight performance increase...

Good to hear that you're liking the kernel. Unfortunately there are only 12 customisable variables in k3 version. My a7000 has almost everything customisable from cpu modes to dt2w screen trigger area to gesture sensitivity...

I didn't get the time to add that.
I can't help you with it this year at least.
My main motive for releasing this kernel was to prove my skills with my poison governor. There are people like daniel_hk himself who doubt me greatly. He is failing to understand that I am not underskilled, but rather I prefer to not spend the time I have right now as a student, into ROM development.
With poison, you would experience at least 10-15% battery increase and a decent performance, unless needed for heavier tasks, which can be adopted to using the modes.
I hope you liked poison. Maybe early 2018 I will update this kernel with more new features. One of them being livedisplay. If you actually see, there isn't too much time to wait. It's just a month approx and you'll not even know when it passes. That's the thing about time. It's mind-boggling
//Some people need to learn to press the thanks button.
looking for your next updates....with livedisplay....and hope to have more optimizations...on backup+minimum usable performance
Battery Backup
Please tell me about battery backup of k3 note after flash this kernel in vibe os . ???
Like Renice kernel v11, sometimes wifi dropped and not auto reconnect. Can you fix that in next version?

WARNING : PLEASE DO NOT PROCEED TO DOWNLOAD UNTIL YOU HAVE READ THE ENTIRE POST !
Some information you should know..
This is a full Note 7FE firmware port with android version 7.0
Read the instructions and the F.A.Q Before installing the rom or posting a reply.
You are not allowed to use this base, if you want to make a nougat rom, "DIY"
Any sort of File Kanging will be reported without hesitation, we know our codes.
Now to shell out. as you guys can obviously tell This has been a long project in the making, if you appreciate the work i have done, Feel free to buy me a cup of coffee @Paypal im kinda running out of, or simply by leaving good feedback, constructive criticism and a Thanks :good:
How to report new Bugs..
If the bug does not have notes, or not listed then follow these simple steps
Method 1 : provide a logCat (Mobile) OR Use LoggingKit.zip Then provide detailed explanation of the problem and how to recreate it
Method 2 : The ROM has an Auto Logcat service, Using any root explorer, navigate to /Data/HeliosLogger/Refined**.txt And Upload that file with a detailed explanation of the problem (Especially for FCs!)
P.S : That file is backedup on each boot. since 6.0
When you are done with the report, follow this POST to post the problem and follow the same scheme used, either quote that post or mention my ID to notify me
Is this custom firmware suitable for you ?
You are able to understand the nature of custom ROMs and especially Ported Roms with Higher Android Version, and that they are never truly Bugless
You are ready to give up on some functionality (bugs) and ready to sacrifice on some ease of use in some areas (mentioned below)
You are ready to use a ROM that will have basic CAMERA functionality (1080P recording, 3rd party camera is almost mandatory)
You are able to understand Basic "English" and have the ability to understand AND follow instructions
You are not a nit picky person who is on the hunt to find Bugs that do not affect daily usage severely (Legit bug reports are welcome)
You are capable of Finding 3rd party apps that might fix some bugs that might show from this rom
You are Aware and take responsibility for any Damages caused by YOU or the CustomFirmware weather thats a failed alarm or a 2018 note 7
If the Answer to the above questions was "YES" please continue with the Post. if the answer to ANY is "NO" Please go Here And install a different Firmware. if you Lied and still felt obliged to spam the thread with reposted questions, lazy questions, stuff that are in F.A.Q and so on, i encourage everyone in this thread to IGNORE YOU and skip your question as it was never there.

THE VERY IMPORTANT NOTES POSTED WITH THIS RELEASE !
Install Notes
1) DirtyFlashing from ALPHA 1 is possible , yet a clean flash is always much more recommended
2) Its recommended to MANUALLY Wipe SYSTEM,DATA And CACHE when doing a clean install
3) Busybox installation will take an extra minute or two
4) if the ROM was stuck on splash, Update your Recovery to the latest available, (if none available wait for @DahakePL to add support)
Special Notes (Very Important)
Camera
- SamsungCamera is very unstable, but sometimes takes photos (with all samsungs optimizations), For video recording use FootejCamera (included in the rom)
- Video recorder in 3rdParty apps will only record upto 1080P 30FPS
- Video recording will not work in Samsung camera at all
- API2 Features like pro mode or brightness slider WILL crash the samsung Camera
- Camera works flawlessly on 3rd party apps like snapchat etc
- Camera VideoRecording might have issues with SOME 3rdparty apps Therefore record in Footej only
Audio
- EliteScripts app is mandatory for all users to have a "good enough" experience with Audio in this ROM use it to switch Audio states
- N910C/H Audio will allow earpiece calls for those variants, and 3rdParty app Microphone support, Bluetooth audio will not work
- N91xSLK Audio will allow earpiece calls for those variants, but NO 3rdParty App microphone support, Bluetooth Audio WILL work
- N910U Audio will allow earpiece calls for those variants, but NO 3rdParty App microphone support, Bluetooth Audio WILL work
- Audio State can be switched on the Fly without reboots using EliteScripts
- Each Audio state can be used on any variant, with the difference begin what it allows, so C/H Users can pick SLK when they want to use Bluetooth Audio devices, And N91xSLK/U users can pick C/H when they want to use 3rd party recording apps
Special Notes about EliteScripts App
- This app is Inhouse made in less than 20Hours, expect bugs
- QS Toggles are Slow to change QS Color only, but fast in changing audio state
- The app WILL NOT work without Root
- QS Tiles are hidden by default, press the top right menu to show them
- When the QS is blue, the script has been activated
- Run it atleast once before use at boot
- Whitelist it from smartmanager battery optimizations
- the app might FC if it was removed from recents or cleared ram in some scenarios
Other
- Sensorhub is disabled in this release intentionally, as 24 hours ago it was discovered that its causing some random reboots for few testers
- Audio by default sounds near Stock, if you want to increase it, you can do so yourself by using 3rdParty apps, or magisk modules such as Viper4Android or DolbyAtmos
- Adapt sound and SoundAlive will only work when N91xSLK/N910U is selected in Elite Scripts
- ROM uses WQHD resolution by default, and boot animation will and forever will be Cut in half when you set to FHD
Quick F.A.Q
Q : Phone is HOT, battery is bad , how to improve ?
A : You have full control on the kernel included, open EliteTuner and play with frequencies and various other tunables
Q : Samsung Camera is usable ?
A : It works the best for selfies, everything else is buggy
Q : Will the audio ever be improved?
A : Well i thought the camera could never be fixed, so only the future can tell
Q : EliteScripts keeps FCing sometimes
A : Always keep the app running in the background to use QSToggles

Frequently Asked Questions
Good idea to read this F.A.Q While the rom is installing
Refined Nougat 6.0 Notes :
1- Recommended to boot in sound mode always (not vibrate or silent)
2- Bluetooth calling starts working after 10 minutes of boot
3- audio boosts are loud, better to try stock ones first
4- Dirty Flash is POSSIBLE from 5.5/5.6
5- Recommended to change edgelight mode to "SCREEN ON" only
6- Recommended to enable small callUI in phone settings (loads faster while using apps)
7- DT2W sometimes requires a tap then quick double taps
8- 1080P is recommended for the smoothest UI (not really the smoothest gaming tho)
9- If playstore is not installing upon a clean flash, reboot
10- When GPS stops giving you accurate readings. pull the status bar and tap Kill GPS button (will be hidden at first)
11- if GPS KIller isnt running, be sure it has ROOT
12- Sometimes installing magisk will not bring the app. if you got no root, reflash magisk manually
Refined Nougat 5.5 FA.Q :
Q : How to use VoLTE on N91xSLK variants ?
A : It will automatically work When you are on a network that supports VoLTE , and call someone who also uses VoLTE network and enabled device. Difference in audio is major (its like doing a 3rd party call in clarity, minus its bugs)
Device will switch to 4G/LTE mode while doing the call.
Q : How usable is Samsung camera?
A : Its perfect and the recommended way to take Photos/selfies
Most of the effects are working fine including HDR , Beauty etc
Q : Sometimes Samsungcamera FC, why ?
A : Dont move the exposure (light bulb) if you want to then you need to only move it by +/- 0.5 degree for it to work
Q : Samsung camera doesnt save recorded videos.
A : Use footej instead
Q : How to send videos in Some 3rdparty apps that wouldnt save videos?
A : Always record videos with footej, then pass it to the needed app. Programs like snap chat should work fine
Q : How bad is the video quality with the whatsapp gif fix ?
A : With the latest one, its very minimal and almost non noticeable
Q : People say my phone is BUSY and cant receive calls while the phone is ON and not busy
A : When using LITE ONLY mode in mobiledata options, you wont be able to receive calls As calls only work on LTE/3G/2G modes
Q : My boot animation is cut in half HELP !
A : Change resolution from FHD to WQHD in settings > display
Q : Recommended kernel tweaks/CPU frequency stays high
A : Check this post #213
Q : I dont see any EDGE panels after installing
A : Reboot the phone
Q : I cant see edge lighting when screen on (only works on screen on)
A : it wont work on screen OFF, and setup your edge panels to show notification on ALL APPS and reboot after that
Q : How is battery Life ?
A : It should be better than stock, if you dont like it tho, get a powerbank as its very unlikely to improve
Q : Will fingerprint be fixed ? ever ?
A : I will attempt to fix it, probably fail, but ill try
Q : AOD
A : I have no luck porting the driver yet
Q : How to use dualboot patcher with this ROM
A : I assume you read this Guide, Flash nougat as primary, SET kernel and DO NOT UPDATE RAMDISK, flash MM in secondary dataslot, and thats it. use latest TWRP always. For a FULL guide read this post by @omidr7
Q : What to do after the rom is setup ?
A : Go to samsung apps, let the phone update everthing
Q : My phone does NOT boot help pls
A : Ensure you have LATEST AF bootloader and modem installed, did all the wipes, and did your house chores,

WARNING : THESE ARE ONLY FOR REFINED 5.6 AND LOWER
1. Refined Nougat 5.2.1 Audio Setup
This brings back the Audio setup that was present in 5.2.1 . with all its pros and cons.
i.e No bluetooth Audio for N910C/H , relying on EliteScripts to switch audio states for supported variants.
Read 5.2.1 Notes section for more information.
Installation : Flash Via TWRP. No wiping needed.
AFH: Download
--------------------------------------------------------------------
2. Refined Nougat Echo FIX
The fix is basically by Fully cutting of MIC 2/3 and lowering MIC 1 and earpiece volume. if you continue to have echo, lower your ear piece volume (volume while in-call). if you STILL have echo, tell the people on the other-side to stop being so sensitive
P.S : This will disable any Loud speaker mods, i wont be making 3 other mixers for that, if you want to increase speaker volume, download some audio mod that doesn't contain Chinese back doors.

N91xSLK : Download
2. Users with 5.2.X Audio
N91X : Download

Personal Notes
V6.0 personal Notes
I will make it short. having 5.6 as EOL didnt work out so much i guess. somehow there is still room for improvement, i was wrong. in the past month or so there has been alot of changes to my Note 4. not only N7FE wise. AOSP wise, Treble Wise. there is much more potential now for more development. now sadly i remain the only active dev. which means everything will come, but very slowly. considering i work on other phones, that does not help our case. This release beside bug fixes, focuses ALOT on Audio as it was the main problem with the ROM besides camera and other stuff. Apart from that, some wanted features are here based on your suggestions, i couldn't add all as some were not feasible, or required RomControl (which i dont want to dive into due to time concerns). Then finally, The kernel was changed alot to focus on performance and stability. there is some new features but most importantly it runs much better. RIL weird signals should be less. GPS hangs should be resolved. oh and bluelightfilter helps aswell.
overall i say its a good release. Now will there be a next version ? Probably. as im working on camera and many other hard bugs.
i dont know if ill make them work but as always i can try. hope you guys enjoy this release.
V5.6 Personal Notes
Ah well, first this update is more or less to fix some of the issue in 5.5, and remove V4A. and basically pack everything into one zip
Its nothing to write home about, but this leads to the second point. There is a big chance this update is the last for the N7FE project.
I personally couldn't manage to fix it beyond this state, so for now this is as good as it gets. it leaves some to be desired stability wise but there is nothing i can do about it at this point. everything has an end, and this project is no different.
the 7.1.1 port was a big flop, after over 2 months of work and attempts, im unable to fix 2 fundamental issues (RIL,WIFI)
So really i dont know where to go with N4 now. in the background i work with few devs on LOS 15.1 but its not ready any time soon.
Idk guys, if this indeed was the last update i post for Note4, i just like to say it was a really awesome journey and i met so many good people from it. I hope this isnt the end.
Happy new year everyone.
V5.5 Personal Notes
Well finally. We have something that i can call Stable. something that took me Around a year and half to achieve. This release to me is as exciting as the first time Nougat booted on this device. Its something that i personally never thought would reach a state where its actually usable by the masses. to an extent. (and not N910U). Im really proud to give you this version (5.5 isnt the most catchy, but what did you expect i never was good with names or versioning)
Id like to flex on samsung who decided to leave this phone to rot in a firmware that really wasn't suitable for it. This device was born to run Samsung experience, Not LagWiz. And running it is something his phone excels at.
In this release i focused more on fixing issues and annoyances that prevented me from enjoying this phone, and made me cuss it.
The new Kernel is totally a different experience, i hope you guys share your input about it.
SamsungCamera is now very usable for taking Photos/Selfies with full samsung effects. just dont use exposure slider (or just move it very slightly to 0.5 +/- that also works)
Audio system is much more usable aswell. it has some issues. but we might be able to patch them in the future.
As all things, nothing is perfect and without its issues. but based on what we are given and whats available to us. this is as good as it gets until the next release. Id like to thank everyone from my testers, to the loyal users and to my friends who assisted me on this.
BETA 2 Personal Notes
Finally im able to bring to you, loyal note 4 owners the BETA 2, its another major step in my plan to fully discard custom rom users of Old, outdated, and horribly looking Marshmallow (very evil i know). i believe that with this update if you fit the criteria above then this may very well be suitable to be a daily driver, and so it was for my self for the past year. The camera isnt something to write home about, its serviceable at best but does do its job in some scenarios. the Audio is quite messy to be honest, but i think its matter of few days before new users can get used to it. until a real solution is found (one that supports all these variants is highly unlikley). This update was a tough one im not gonna lie, lost my data twice, the Audio real time switching was a headache to deal with and develop at the last minute. heck the entire test rom got leaked for 10 minutes ! but with team work i am quite happy to say that this is a good update. Ofcourse this does not mean this rom is gone, there is alot more work left to do, that im still willing to do. and my plans for beta 3 to not be 3 months away
ALHA 1 Personal Notes
So, its finally here, this project was started august 2017, its finally "ready" for its first ALPH Release, Working on this phone was the best thing i did, however it was a dreaded task, Bringing this phone to Nougat was seriously the hardest task ive done, our phone is extremely incompatible with EVERYTHING. yet somehow its now in a state where i can say it can be used daily (N910C/H Mainly) as long as you dont care about the listed bugs. i know there seem to be "ALOT" of bugs, but god you have no idea how it was before, for now this is ALPHA 1, later down the line, more builds will come hopefully fixing everything. for now everyone can have a taste of nougat.
Thanks bro great perfect awesome work @ananjaser1211

High performance & power saving tweaks for all devices (THAT ACTUALLY WORK)
Introduction
LKT is a cumilation of different strategies that target certain kernel settings. What makes this special and stand out from the crowd is being universal and device specific at the same time. And it's also BS free. Using simple functions LKT detects the hardware of your device then it applies the corresponding changes. It does support all mainstream platforms including Snapdragon, Kirin, MediaTek etc. covering hundreds of devices.
These tweaks have been tested and can stand up to 12-14H of SOT with no-compromise on performance all smooth as a baby's bottom.
However, it should be noted that this does not apply to gaming, facebook, snapchat, instagram and heavy camera usage ...etc
Nothing can be done for anything that is an automatic battery killer and forces maximum resources usage at all the time.
How does it work?
LKT aims to achieve a balance between power consumption and performance. Compared to tuning the parameters manually, LKT adopts Project WIPE open source interactive parameters for all mainstream SOCs that are generated via machine learning AI and can adapt to multiple styles of workload sequences. This idea is similar to EAS, which takes into account both performance and power consumption costs through power consumption models and workload sequence. But obviously, EAS has a much lower response time and replaces tuning with decision logic. In addition, it also includes other parameter tuning, such as HMP scheduler parameters, virtual Memory, GPU, IO blocks tuning, and doze rules to unify the rest of the kernel parameters for a more consistent experience.
LKT also supports schedutil and other EAS governors in devices like the Pixel 2. Unlike interactive, schedutil does not provide a wide range of tuning parameters but there are some workarounds. In Snapdragon 835 for example depending on what profile is selected, LKT limits the maximum frequency of big cores accordingly because big clusters power efficiency of SD835 dramatically decreases above 2 GHz, as a trade of losing 15% performance, improving power consumption by 40% or more is a much better deal.
Features
Multi-Profile
Improved smoothness & battery life
Advanced interactive governor tuning (Project WIPE)
EAS devices Support
RAM management enhancements
IO blocks enhancements
Enabled & configured wakelock blocking
Disabled a excessive logging at kernel level (Improves battery life as well as performance)
Other miscellaneous adjustments to enhance power efficiency
Profiles
Battery - Can acheive ~2 hours or more longer on-screen battery life, may lag in some scenarios where the load fluctuates dramatically.
Balanced - Can acheive ~1.5 hours or more longer on-screen battery life with little performance compromise .(Recommended)
Performance - Can acheive ~1 hour longer on-screen battery life , same as balanced profile with more responsiveness. .
Turbo - Ideal for intense high demanding tasks, where the load drastically fluctuate (not necessarily in games) . Will ensure reducing lags by ~90% for no more than ~20% increase power in consumption.

• How do I apply these tweaks?
Simply flash LKT zip in recovery or Magisk app then reboot.
• Do I have to be rooted?
Yes, LKT needs either Magisk or SuperSU or init.d support.
Beware that LKT is a collection of advanced tweaks that act on kernel level. If you don't know how it works, then please try this at your own risk. I won't be responsible for any damage or loss. Never forget to make backups.
• What are the available profiles ?
Battery: Can acheive ~2 hours or more longer on-screen battery life, may lag in some scenarios where the load fluctuates dramatically
Balanced: Can acheive ~1.5 hours or more longer on-screen battery life with little performance compromise (recommended)
Performance: Can acheive ~1 hour longer on-screen battery life , same as balanced profile with more responsiveness
Turbo: Ideal for intense high demanding tasks, butter smooth gaming for a long periods. Will ensure reducing lags by ~90% for up to ~20% more power consuption than stock.

• How to switch between profiles?
Method 1
To access the command controls screen using terminal type
Code:
su
lkt
Then follow the instructions
Method 2
Now you can also you run these commands to directly switch profiles (must run with root permissions)
Code:
lkt 1 (for battery profile)
lkt 2 (for balanced profile)
lkt 3 (for performance profile)
lkt 4 (for turbo profile)
Method 3
You can also to re-flash the module twice to change the profile but you will have to reboot using this way.
• Can I use LKT with another MOD ?
** Compatibility list** You can still these mods since they do not affect LKT parameters.
Universal XML Patcher
GMS Doze
ForceDoze, Naptime, Greenify, Amplify, Power Nap
MCS (Magic charging switch) & Charging control mods..etc
BlackenedMod (Pixel 2)
** Incompatibility list ** Do not use similar mods with LKT, here is a list of some known MODs that will interfere
AKT (Advanced Kernel Tweaks)
Spectrum
Helix Engine
L-Speed
GovTuner
Every bullsh*t placebo MOD like : CrossBreeder, NFS, KITANA, FeraDroid ..etc
Heavily tweaked ROM such as : xXx (OP6/6T)
• Will this work on my ROM & Kernel ?
It should work on almost every Stock, AOSP or Lineage based ROM & Kernel
The only problem is with heavily tweaked ROMs, they can interfere with LKT.
• Will this work on my device?
This mod support a large list of devices you can check the compatibility list.
• How to make sure that LKT is working ?
Using a file explorer with root access check LKT logs in the location below ( share & upload yours in case of having troubles)
Code:
/data/LKT.prop
•I cannot find or open LKT logs
To properly open LKT.prop you need a file manager with root access your app may not be working correctly. Here's some apps I can recommend
MiXplorer
FX File Explorer + ROOT addon
You can also access your alogs using terminal by running this code
First type su then copy and past this line :
Code:
cat /data/LKT.prop
• My logs are incomplete
Make sure you are using the latest version of Magisk 18.0+
Install busybox by @osm0sis
• My device Lags or not longer smooth What do I do?
This can happen and it's a normal thing. As I have stated before, all these tweaks have been done for fit certain usage which might not be the same as yours. Because this, your device may lag in some scenarios under heavy loads (If you are experimenting huge lags, you have done something wrong). And yes, this can be fixed. We have a couple of ways of fixing it. First of all if you are using battery profile try switching to another one, if this doesn't help you consider the following steps :
Do a factory reset
Get rid of unnecessary background apps
Try a different ROM or Kernel
Try another profile
• These settings don't work & I'm not getting great screen on time
Keep in mind these tweaks have been tested on certain scenario that might not the same as yours, read the introduction in OP to understand more about this. However if you are getting worse results than before you are probably doing something wrong and here are some recommendations for you
Do a factory reset
Get rid of unnecessary background apps
Try a different ROM or Kernel
Try another profile
• How to update LKT?
Dirty flash the new zip or install the update via Magisk manager and it will automatically upgrade.
• How to uninstall LKT?
Flashing the module for the second time will remove LKT. You can also remove it from Magisk app.

It's better to not use any other mods with this so they won't conflict, if your device is supported you won't need anything else
This module does have a UI, to access it via terminal type su then lkt and follow the instructions. Please refer to the help section next time before asking anything.

Hello,
My device is Samsung Note 4 - SM-N910F.
I'm not on Samsung but on AOSP (6.0.1 - because of some outdated xposed mods) as I prefer stock, bloatware-less, android ROM.
The thing is, battery life has always been worse than original Samsung ROM, mainly because of doze not being strict enough, and lack of wakelocks optimisation.
Naptime, Greenify and Amplify helped me reducing those issues, along with Kernel Adiutor underclock increasing battery life. And Icebox for freezing battery using when screen is turned off.
Now comes your work, I flashed your zip. I was a bit skeptical of what it could make to my OS to magically improve battery life... But I have to be honest, it improved blocking those ridiculous wakelocks when my phone is idle.
See by yourself : 0.2% of battery during 6h sleep (airplane mode on, because radio waves). When it is usually 0.8% to 1%. Ofc when phone is used like using camera, it won't do magic over battery, but those unnecessary wakelocks event seems to be fixed.
So, yes. Thank you, thank you very much.
I got a weird bug on the poco f1 using lkt (mostly balanced profile) when I charge my battery indicator get stuck to 75%. However it still charge since it rest a bunch of time stuck to 75%

Hello. I installed the zip without problems and restarted my phone. Nowhere, however, do I see something of cloudy. Neither at Mtweaks or in the info settings themselves. How do I know that it works now? And how can I change the profiles?

Yes it does stay active by saving the selected profile even after reboot.
Would you consider LeeDroid a heavily tweaked ROM, and one that would interfere with LKT? I removed all L-Speed settings, and I'm getting incredible performance yet slightly less SOT. I'm willing to make the sacrifice, unless you would advise against using this MOD with LeeDroid. Thanks in advance for any response, and awesome work!
How does this mod compare to the NFS-Injector module? Can they be used safely together
Hi, how do I change profile.. I am on balanced need to go to performance
I tried reinstalling but while reinstalling it automatically detected device in balanced and didn't ask me to change

But if we remove and edit some files then it should also work as A Universal Mod but not all the features that come for OOS 11 and Open BetaFeatures:-UI Tweaks-Blur effect in background when pull down notification panel and in some more places.

Anyone test this yet? I'm really intrigued by the blur and the gaming optimization.. I'd flash this but I'm not near any wifi rn
I have installed it and at first glance you can see that it improves the speed quite a bit in all aspects. Installed with Neutrino kernel. Thank you so much for this mod
Req: Is it possible to make the background blurry in recent applications?
Hi. Can u add black icons on quick settings? Wi-fi, Bluetooth, data...
This mod looks very promising, do you plan to relase it for other oneplus phones? Specifically oneplus 7t pro

Hi, can you share your compiled kernel? I'm curious to try it but unfortunately Neutrino is a compilable kernel but I don't have the skills whatsoever.
About the mod: runs perfectly, thanks a lot to the developer.
Just to let you know:
- I've been trying it for two days with Radioactive Kernel, at the moment zero problems.
- I have been trying it for two days with the Dolby Atmos app installed (apk + Magisk module), apparently there are no conflicts but I will test more thoroughly and on different scenarios.
Latest OOS 11.08.14.

-Optimized Noise Cancellation in Headphones
Other
-Now Tweaks will run every 24 hours automatically
-On each reboot also Tweaks will run and then every 24 hours.
Some RECOMMENDATION with this update: If you have any sound mode then I recommend trying ButterLimits without any sound mod first to experience actual ButterLimits Sound Enhancement, And then later you can do experiments with other mods.

Thank you for this mod. The last 2 versions are working just fine on the 8T open beta 6 without any issues.

Unfortunately with this version I have problems with voice messages on Telegram.
They are recorded at a very low volume.
I haven't tried on WhatsApp and other messaging apps because I don't use them.
I think the problem is in one of the optimizations under the "sound" section of the changelog.
Reverted back to the previous 3.8 version for now, thanks for your time.
Stock OxygenOS 11.08.14, stock kernel.

Allow me to give a suggestion to everyone: for safety, disable Dolby Atmos integrated in the OxygenOS with the following command from the terminal:
Code:
su
pm disable -user 0 com.oneplus.sound.tuner
Bye!
Would it be possible to make the dark theme completely black instead of dark grey?
