Storage Issue - General Questions and Answers

Hey guys.
I have a problem regarding storage on my phone. It shows I only have 7gb free of 57gb, but any app I use shows me around 26gb of data only.
As in the print, it shows almost 50 GB occupied but when I go to see what is taking up space, it only has less than 27GB.
The only one that comes close to showing me that something is wrong is Driver Analyzer which shows that there is something wrong, showing a occupied space bar but not saying what it is.
Anything I can do that doesn't involve resetting the phone?

If I interpret your screenshot correctly then about half of available storage is used by Spotify.
To be on the safe side additionally run AIDA64 uitilty.

Unable to boot screen?

Tried some android thingies today and got the following screen 2 or 3 times:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
When I press anything other than the send button, it just boots and everything seems fine.
But I really would like to know where this screen comes from? Is there something on the main memory or storage card where it does some checks?
I have the screen sometimes and I think it has something to do with the boot time. So I think the message is kind of engaged and fires only if something doesn't happen in a specific period. In my case I suspect the amount of PIM data might slow the boot time because I never delete and never move the stuff to an archive

Free space hog...

So, every few days, I check to see how much free room I have in my phone storage, and I noticed a real strange pattern. I'd keep losing around 2+ gigs of room. I'd go into the little make more space setting, and every time, there were 2 temporary files for HTC aps totaling around that much. So not thinking anything of it, I just deleted that. Well, finally decided to check where that was coming from, and found this...

}
Now, why do I have more in thumbnails than actual pics? And why does it keep coming back like that? Nothing major, just annoying when I run out of space because I forgot to delete it, lol

[Q] Storage Issue

My Z3 has a notification about my phone has 75% of internal storage used and asks me to move some files to my sd card. However, when I checked the storage inside the setting, it showed that I only used for 4-5 GBs while the available space only has 3 GBs. It is really strange since there should be 12 GBs for this phone where is the missing 3 GBs. So, I would like to ask that what make this happen and how to solve it. My first thought of this kind of issue is the problem of system log, but I dont want to root my phone to deal with this.

22.2GB of "System Memory" used - (Stock Carrier un-rooted)

I was planning on shooting some UHD video so wanted to check how much space I had available on my 6 months old S6 - I was shocked to see only a small amount free.
22GB is taken up with system memory. There is no way to drill down in to see what could be taking up so much space. I have only 9gb available for apps and media on a 32gb phone.

None of the playstore analysis apps scan the System Memory area so I am at a loss to know what to do here. If I root, is there a way to explore this area in more detail to find the culprit?

Test another network monitor app, maybe it is wrong
