I'm running Android 10 Lineage OS on Samsung Galaxy J7 (J700H) so it doesn't seem to recognize my phone as Samsung because it think it's aosp.

I have a problem installing 'Samsung Gear' app on custom rom CM 12.1.
I have installed the three APKs posted here http://forum.xda-developers.com/gear-s2/themes-apps/samsung-gear-manager-accessory-service-t3222933
But when I try to open the app it says:
"The operating system on your phone has been modified in an unauthorized way, and is not compatible with the Samsung Gear app. Check your operating system and try again."
Is there a work around to get over this? Do I have to install a Samsung ROM?

Hmm... I neuer experienced a problem like this. I paired my S2 with a LG G2 running a modified stock ROM and with my Galaxy S5+ running the stock Firmware and a stock based custom ROM (Nova). Everything worked as expected. Installing the stock firmware of your phone would not help you eitler, because it is not in the compatibilty list for your Gear S2....
I have have a rooted Samsung Galaxy Tab E sm-t377p, with Twrp on it.
It is running android v5.1.1 stock samsung
I would love to remove android and put Linux on it but after googling around I know that's not going to happen. unless someone knows something that I don't??
So what about cyanogenmod?
I don't not see my device in the list so that's why I'm asking.
also if cyanogenmod is a no go for my tab then is there any other rom I could go with??

Hello, I found two APK's for an older built-in Samsung screen recorder, but I want the latest one. It doesn't come with my A51 but it is there for the A71 for some reason.
Also, I'd appreciate it if someone could kind of port the Samsung DeX and Samsung DeX Home apps so that I could install them on the A51. I've already tried but couldn't succeed.
If these things won't work, then is there any S20 or Note 10 based rom that I can install on the A51? Any help would be appreciated!
