Hi,
I purchased my S7 from UK recently but am based in Singapore. Is there anyway to get Samsung Pay on it?
I have a local Singapore Bank account and can use it with the Samsung Pay as I understand the Samsung Pay is tied to local bank accounts. I wish to do so without tripping Knox (no root to do it - as i might utlize warranty when i visit UK occasionally), and apparently getting the Samsung Pay download can be via changing the CSC. How would one go about doing it?
Also, will changing the CSC via Odin trip Knox?
Thanks!

Hi mate
You are right you need the correc CSC in order to get Samsung PAy to work ( as long as is available in you country)
two options flash a stock rom from your country from sammobile
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/
Or check this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s7/how-to/official-stock-firmware-update-odin-t3369431
Flashing stock firmware with odin will not trip knox.

I don't really understand how home country firmware affects the use of SAmsung Pay. I have a duos S7 with United Arab Emirates firmware, which is not part of the list of countries where it is available according to Samsung site, yet I'm able to successfully sideload the apps and use S Pay here in the U.S.A. Maybe that's just a quirk of the duos S7?

Hi
Not so much the firmware but the CSC ( Country Sales Code) may play a role as Samsung Pay is not available in all countries
http://www.samsung.com/global/galaxy/samsung-pay/
In your case been in USA and in a USA carrier may had been decisive
In the case of the G930F and G935F seems to play a role

if you have a g955F or g955FD (which i believe both the arab emirates and india have) you can flash an indian csc without a problem.

So you just want the symbol in statusbar to say lte instead of 4g? I really wonder why someone would care, but im pretty sure - when rooted - you can change this easily. Don't know if this changes with different CSCs tho.
Thanks
Thanks
Hello! I ask for your help. I have samsung galaxy s10e SM-G970n (Exynos) South Korea. Version of an insertion of G970NKOU4CTC5. This firmware has a lot of pre-installed operator programs (KT) and even when the set is loaded, the operator logo comes out. Please advise the firmware version with less of this debris. Maybe somehow change the region and what needs to be done for it? Please write a detailed instruction or drop a link to it. I am from Russia. Thank you!
Launch the app, go to*Root Explorer*option and change*R/O*to*R/W.Navigate to*/efs/imei/*folder, edit the CSC code in the*mps_code.dat*file and save the changes. Then go to*/system/csc/*folder and edit your CSC in*the*sales_code.datfile.Now save the changes and reboot your device.
edit to KOO
end.

From the latest devices, ex)galaxy s10, s10e etc...
for csc change
If you haven't rooted, you should use a program called samkey,
I know it is a paid program.
It seems that csc doesn't change just by flashing the firmware to odin like the old devices.
So I bought a galaxy z flip 3 from Samsung UK via the Samsung website but under settings the region, CSC is eux not BTU for the UK what does this mean?
It means you have a European edition. That's the blanket code.

On new phones, Samsung is done with country specific csc's on unlocked phones. All EU phones have the same csc, except the ones purchased through carrier.
