Hi, may I ask the ROM Condition? Is it Stable or Beta?
UPDATE: After the setup screen, I tried to navigate to other apps/etc.
but it just stuck after one gesture, forced to restart
To be more specific: Randomly freezes after action
BUGS:
1) The launcher is the main reason causing it to hang constantly. I tried to install other launcher, it just works fine
2) After rebooting your device, if you pulldown QS Tiles right after boot, it freezes immediately
CPU Prime Benchmark Scores:
1st ) 12014
2nd) 11677
Battery Usage Condition :
From 100% IDLE for 24 hours
Battery Saver ON
Wifi ON / GPS OFF / NFC OFF / Sync OFF
Brightness at 50%
Screen On Time: <15Minutes
Result: 20%
Conclusion: Battery Draining A little bit fast

What kind of stability you wished to have at a 8 years old tablet?

Can confirm that the launcher is causing issues. Installed Nova and running fine.

Just installed this rom on my nexus 7 2013 with Open GApps 11 01/30/2021. Installation went ok but as soon as I booted up Android 11, the tablet froze. Completely locked up with no touch response. Had to reboot by holding the power button down. Tablet rebooted and came up again but had the same response. Touch screen not responsive and tablet completely froze again. Something is definitely wrong with this ROM. Any other ROM installed on this tablet works fine.

I get random lockups even with Nova - not sure what actions trigger them, hopefully there's a newer version that fixes these lockups - they're pretty annoying.
Also noticed if you used F2FS for data the lockup was so bad that you cant do anything. I had to switch to pure EXT4 on data for it to work better

First time installing crDroid to your ENTER-PHONE-NAME, or coming from another ROM:
** Make sure you're running a proper working Recovery (CWM or TWRP)
1) Copy crDroid zip, gapps zip to your device
2) Boot into Recovery
3) Wipe cache, system, & data (or just cache & system for a dirty flash).
4) Flash ROM
8) Flash gapps
9) Boot up
For root, AFTER you boot into the ROM, you can go back to recovery and install Magisk XX.x (whatever is most recent).
Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.

This ROM can record up to 720p. To alleviate this, I simply took the media_profiles.xml (system/etc) from the stock ROM (TouchWhiz), renamed it to media_profiles_V1_0.xml, then replaced the existing file on your ROM's /system/vendor/etc.
When writing to an SD card (via MTP), it's very slow at 1-2MB/s. A reboot fixes this temporarily, then after a few minutes, the problem comes back. I've tried formatting it both on my computer and the phone. Same thing. I also tried another card, same thing..
I didn't have any apps installed and left the phone at 41% charge before I went to bed. Woke up 5 hours later, and it's down to 37%.
When you have USB debugging enabled, MTP doesn't work. I had to disable it for it work.
Thanks u very much!

Nothing different from any other GSI.
Just a straight flash via fastboot to /system partition and /cache /data wipes.
It may take up to 5 minutes to boot on some devices.
If it takes longer than 5 minutes, just hold your power button and reboot.
Main rings
Background and accent colors throughout the interface can be changed.
Power menu has additions.
Lock screen PIN layout can be scrambled.
Setting suggestions can be disabled.
Sounds and animations use Google Pixel series ones.
App Ops is available.
Little tweaks
Over 80% brightness, the bar will warn you, turning orange.
Lockscreen charging info
The phone will unlock automatically when it recognises your face.
Fingerprint allows 10 scans before denying it as unlocking method.
Night light allows lower temperatures.
Pixel animations to explain some features
App info shows Google Play icon and package names.
Font size steps up by 5%.
Quick settings adjust themselves to the screen.
Preloaded applications
Brave Browser
Open Camera
AnExplorer
Markup
This ROM doesn't include gapps, download them from: https://opengapps.org/
*Remember ARM 9.0
To make the gapps get installed succesfully, you need to flash Stock ROM or LOS, then after the ROM is completely flashed, start it normally, then reboot to bootloader, boot twrp, mount system nad try to install gapps
This ROM doesn't have problems with Google Certification
About battery backup is fine, but performance is not very good I would rate it with 7.5/10

...wait this is just the standard build?
This is working fine on the XT1920-15 PETTYL (E5 play UK version)
But there are two small issues.
I was sent the "PETTYL" twrp zip as it is nowhere to be found on XDA.
After having to flash the magisk zip in twrp with the james TWRP (as the PETTYL zip doesn't actually work) magisk manager shows magisk is not installed and says I have no internet connection......!
Other problem is system sounds/ringtones are distorted and sound like they are being played by a ZX81 or old 8bit PC!
I know I got to delete or edit something in /system but I'm unsure what or how to do it.
Can anyone help me and suggest a fix please?

Me too facing this problem.
I flashed the crDroidAndroid-9.0-20190528-tiffany-v5.4.zip image to my Mi 5X using TWRP but the device just boots up to a black screen. Eventually it makes sounds as if booted, but still no display.
Can anyone give advice on the above?

[ROM][UNOFFICIAL] Resurrection Remix 5.8.5 for Alcatel OneTouch Hero 2 + TWRP 3.2.1.0

First of all, sorry for not posting this to the development section, I am currently unable to do so, if a moderator could move this to the phone's topic/thread/forum, that'd be great.
I recently managed to port both the rom and TWRP for this device, these are my first ever manually done ports. So I do not know much about that.
Also, the rom also has SuperSU root access.
Installation:
- Get SP Flash Tools (I used version 5.1512.0)
- Download the Resurrection ROM - https://mega.nz/#!Qhsi2ATa!2w45GlSMZHIxNRD-ocrDcvyeEzVkcVKOqaI4n-eaa1o
- Download TWRP - https://mega.nz/#!BosSiaAJ!apwPAEuNkWq0A6qKtadVQAkkjzZm4ka6gA5MUDT6r1c
- Download Gapps (ARM 7.1 Micro/Nano/Other) - http://opengapps.org/
- Flash the recovery through SP Flash Tools
- Boot to recovery (Power+Volume UP while the device is turned off)
- Required - Wipe system, cache, data, dalvik cache
- Flash ROM and Gapps
- Reboot.
- Wait for it to boot
IMPORTANT
This rom and TWRP are NOT bugless. Here are the issues:
Rom:
- Camera is not working
- No audio, only with earphones/headphones
TWRP:
- In TWRP, in the reboot menu, all options to reboot to specific mode just shut down the device instead. So for example, if you click reboot to recovery, it just shuts the device off. You have to reboot to recovery manually instead with hardware buttons, and so on.
About the ROM:
I tried fixing the issues by replacing the appropriate lib files, but no luck. It either bootlooped afterwards, or nothing changed at all. Not sure what use will it be of this rom if main features are not working. But I decided to do this just for fun and to share it with you, I don't think I can fix these problems myself, plus I will get rid of this device soon anyway. In case anything goes wrong, I am not responsible for the damages that may occur. Make sure you get the stock rom and flash it if you want to go back to the original.
Special thanks

Features
Right now you are gonna find a mixed StatiX/AOSP experience as this is a brand new project:
Spark Settings Panel introduced.
Always-On Display enabled (on devices that support it).
Smart Pixels enabled (on devices that support it).
Advanced reboot
Dark mode and accent theming
Statusbar battery styles
Known issues
- You will be required to repartition your device to at least 1.3gb. If you have anything higher or exact than 1.3gb than your fine.
- Navigation bar glitches sometimes.
- Deep Sleep does not work when NFC is enabled so i recommend you disable it when your not using it to get your tablet to go in deep sleep.
- When you boot up the ROM for the first time you may notice that the boot animation will freeze and then your device reboots back to the google logo. This is not a device side issue but a ROM side issue but let the tablet reboot a couple times if necessary & your tablet will eventually boot to the setup wizard and into the ROM. This is normal.
- Use Latest Official TWRP recovery below for Flo which is version 3.3.1.0 and you won't have the install supersu thing when you reboot recovery.
- Front and Rear Camera are not working since all camera apps force close for some reason. I am trying to work out a fix.
- When ambient display setting is turned on double to wake is activated when device is turned off and you can't turn it off using a kernel app. You have to disable ambient display to get the tablet to not wake up by double tap.
- You tell us!
